I can promise you this, once you get in to the series. (I don't mean as in starting. I mean when it have you hooked.) You will feel it's never enough episodes or chapters. Depending on which you will consume.

This is one of my favorite One Piece openings. It always gives me goosebumps and IMO it's quite fitting for what's going on in the anime.
Its fine... but I hate that it stuck around for like too many episodes... and its too downbeat and muted. Its just flat out not exciting. Opening 18 is where it peaked for me... Hard Nock Days... its upbeat exciting, has a good message and pretty much perfectly fits one piece.

"That's anime that I'm probably not gonna be jumping into, safe to say" Tony I know you really meant it when you said that, but respectively, that's what most people say before they end watching One Piece. It likely won't happen soon, but if I was a betting man I'd wager it'll happen one day.
Also a note about how One Piece does openings differently. For the first 6 openings they were typical length and the show had endings as well, but from the 7th onwards they no longer had endings, only openings but they are typically ~2:30 in length compared to the standard ~1:30. Despite that though, in the time of those 6 openings the show still had 18 endings in total.
You should listen to the side songs !! Idrk what they’re officially called, but essentially, it’s mini songs composed specially for the show, usually relevant to current themes at the time. And the best part is that they are mostly sung by the voice acting cast!! So although they are not professionally trained singers, they sure sing their hearts out!! “Polaris lei” posts a lot of the songs!! Some of the best songs I’ve heard from the many options would be “Samba Bomber Akuma no mi” which translates to “Samba Bomber Devil Fruit” I love this song bc it has so many fun sounds and funny lines(there are no spoilers in the lyrics I think), and generally has very interesting progression ^_^ , the second song I could listen to forever and never get tired of, it’s called “ONE-WORLD 9 strawhat version” the one I listen to though is posted by “Reina”, it has such a vibe, and awesome percussion, you could hear a choir in the back as well, which just makes it better!! In the beginning of it, the first voice singing is the main characters voice actor(Luffy) and she(va) has such an amazing range!! But anyways, I love the beginning very much due to (I think) the timpani that accompanies the voice(but it’s only in the beginning 😢) but it’s very hard to hear sometimes ://, anyways, I implore you to please give these songs a listen!!! Happy new year ^u^

PAINT has been used from episode 1005-Current (Ep. 1068). Definitely a groove. I am excited to see what they bring with their next opening though.

"that's too many episodes for me" is historically a quote somebody says before they fall in love with One Piece.

As a song, I think PAINT is my favorite opening for One Piece. The visuals are awesome too.

Then they show up with bloodshot eyes raving about how good it is after they cannonballed the first 100 episodes in two days.
Oh also try (Opening 13 - One Day) you will definitely love it. The main instrument in that opening is the Drum and electric guitar 😏

Opening 18 is the last really good opening for awhile IMO... the rest are too downbeat and frankly don't really fit well with the sense of adventure etc... a couple of the early ones, and OP 7 Rainbow Star was great. Dreamign on OP 23 is one of the best, and 24 is frankly one of the most meh...

No shade, I love the opening as much as any other, but why Paint of all things for his first experience with One Piece? It means a lot to me as a big fan, but certainly not what I’d pick for a first timer
It’s more about the music than visuals or story so it doesn’t really matter
I recommend reading one piece if you feel there are too many episodes. It's a one in a life time series actually life-changing for many.
