Platinum catalysing hydrogen peroxide decomposition

Platinum acts as a catalyst helping hydrogen peroxide decompose into water and oxygen gas.
My wedding ring is 950 platinum... Let's see what happens
... It's slow, but it's just 3% hydrogen peroxide. It breaks down over time, and the bottle is a couple years old.

How long will it take to decompose a full bottle of peroxide with the platinum? Thanks for the video!

not much platinum in there

Actually there's 2/3 of an ounce of Pt in there. The reaction is so slow because the H2O2 is from an old bottle that was only 3% when it was new.
