This is a Mileage test video. Trip starts in Krishnagiri bypass and I travelled towards Salem for 100kms. I got a fuel efficiency figure of 35.3 KMPL. The AC was on during this test. if maintain below 2K rpm most of modern cars will give fuel efficient. point is no one will have that patience to drive below 2K rpm ;)
Hi bro thanks for speaking up. what you said is true, but the actual reason for drop in fuel efficiency is because of the aerodynamic drag post 80kmph

MAIN point is, you are driving downhill , otherwise not possible to get such mileage. Also, you can accelarate and put the vehicle in neutral when coasting downhill (Though not advisable as you may lose control) . All other points mentioned are perfect. Coasting and avoiding unnecessary braking and not going beyond 100 KMPH is the key. From Hosur to Salem , I got 26 KMPL in my Verna 1.6 Petrol :)

Ok one more tip is don't open windows as there will be wind resistant which makes car use more fuel
This is possible, only because you are driving downhill from Krishnagiri.

Trip meter 2 hours car off la irundha reset agidum adhu unga current trip ku dhan. ungalukku trip meter use pannanum na display keela irukka button use pannunga adhu dhan actual trip meter. adhu neengala reset panra varaikum reset agadhu. Current mileage 85kmpl andha second la kedaikra mileage because engine idle la run agudhu but car move aguradhunala apdi kaatum. next tab la average mileage irukkum paarunga adhu dhan namakku andha trip la kedaikra mileage

Bro, saw your video. Nice one. But the mileage which is shown in the vehicle is not the actuals.. it will differ by 3-4 Km per litre depending on the vehicle. More accurate would have been to divide kms covered(100 KM in this case) divided by litres of fuel consumed(we can know this if we fill tank the second time again, first time being before trip start), so that we can get actual mileage. Also, by tank to tank method, we can check for each vehicle how much is actual difference in mileage between mileage shown on the vehicle dashboard v/s the actual mileage by tank to tank method.

No gear change and lightly apply break continue 60to80 klm speed drive..to. Achieved 35to 40 klm per liter
A couple of points. 1. What he shows here is definitely true and possible. He is driving down hill in the route from Bangalore to Salem.
2. He is maintaining good tyre pressure and probably driving alone or with minimum load on the car.
3. RPM is maintained too low and this seems a sedated drive for 100kms.
4. VW diesel with above factors makes this number possible.
Finally as a VW owner, I believe these vehicles are not for people who want to drive with no spirit and RPM kept low for the sake of mileage. Polo is a great car, enjoy the drive and forget the mileage. Mileage can be a factor and not the only factor.

Good valid points. Unless otherwise you are good experienced or a professional driver dont drive always thinking of mileage (constantly checking speedometer, mileage indicator etc.,) You may lose concentration while driving and unsafe for you and others.
Neutral drive in down hill shall be avoided.

Ippo dhan bro na time video la check panen. Na start panrapa 3.10 video finish pannapa 5.30 so 2 hours 20 minutes agirukku. Na salem outer la dhan video stop pannirukken so salem ku oru 15 to 20 minutes extra agirukkum. Indha calculation vachu paatha 2 hours 45 minutes.

புது வண்டி இல்லை, 2013 மாடல்தான். 80 KM தாண்டாமல் ஓட்டினால்தான் இப்படி மைலேஜ் கிடைக்கும். ஆனால் எப்போதும் இதுபோல் பொறுமையாக ஓட்ட முடியாது. இது ஒரு எடுத்துக்காட்டு மட்டுமே.

@@arunkumarkumar6961 Certainly not Mr. Arun. I mentioned the mileage of my vehicle. It requires proper acceleration, shifting to proper gears and maintaining 60 to 70 kmpl on the highways and no sudden breaks. Try it once, you will realize.
