'Bandel Cheese' is a 400 years old cheese introduced by the Portuguese in their erstwhile settlement in Bandel, Hooghly district.
At present, only one family in the whole world is making this unique cheese. It's made from pure cow's milk & is totally artisanal handcrafted :)

Kolkata's Awadhi cuisine is the next level of gastronomic R&D by the Nawab's cooks. Making subtle changes considering local ingredients and weather to create a new lineage.

Awadhi taste is always ahead of others. By courtesy of Mahrum Nawab Wazid Ali Shah the taste came to the then Calcutta. There may have been some so called cusines called authentic menue here and there in now Kolkata, but I am sure the Awadhi tastes have always been floating on top and will be in top forever. Kunalji you have got the real taste of authentic food.

Her history is as beautiful as she is. She looks a bit like Suchitra Sen( any one see that?) and potato actually came from Latin America. Must have been expensive. Which restaurant she runs? Need to order once I go home.😊😊😊
And Kolkata/ Awadhi biryani is the best..😅
