The Red Arrows performed their first UK display of 2009 over the skies of Southend Festival of the Air. The team were greeted by fantastic weather conditions with clear blue skies making for an impressive spectacle for the thousands of spectators.

Had great times as a kid at south end air show, used to love the Harriet jump jet landing on the water, Peter pan’s amusement park was great to back in the day

My grandad cries when he sees the red arrows, he's a ex WW2 RAF pilot.
He said it reminds him of his days of being a pilot.

The reason for wanting a better aircraft, of course, is that the display would be better with a higher power to weight ratio.
