Yes, my cousin Jackie was a good friend of Elvis. While many think of him as an R&B singer, one of his influences was Bing Crosby. He recorded songs like "Night" and "Alone at Last" which were based on a French classical aria and a musical composition from a Russian composer respectively, both from the 19th century. Music is like people as we are all related. Some folks just need to find this wonderful connection. You can't steal a style or someone's fame unless it's copyrighted or patented by law.

Elvis and Jackie Wilson were friends! In fact, when Jackie Wilson became ill, Elvis was there to help with his medical bills which continued to be paid by the Elvis estate until Jackie passed away in 1987!

All this information is just clickbait.Jackie Wilson adored Elvis. According, to Jackie’s son, his father died with a picture of Elvis with Jackie in his wallet. According to his son, Jackie was appearing at a venue and was not pulling in the audience that was expected. Elvis heard this and attended his concert (twice) and talked it up to everyone. People went to his concert in droves. Jackie stated he always appreciated the gesture. According to Jackie’s son, Elvis assisted in paying for Jackie’s hospital bills when he became ill. Jackie Wilson was in the audience in Elvis Presley's movie "Girls Girls Girls" in 1962 when Elvis sang the song Return to Sender. Elvis performed Return to Sender in Jackie's style and Jackie enjoyed it. Elvis Presley and Jackie Wilson were friends.
You are right: Jackie Wilson first gained fame with the group Billy Ward and his Dominoes, which he joined in 1953. He became a solo act in 1957 - before Elvis, don't let people lie to you. Easy to fact check this. Jackie Wilson was dancing and styling like this way before Elvis.

I doubt that, not in white culture, ecspecially back in those days. White could often visit black venues and imitate what they learned as their own style, as segregation limited black entertainers from appearing on the national stage.

When Elvis is singing return to sender in the movie Jackie Wilson was on the set. And Elvis and Jackie were laughing at each other because Elvis was doing some of Jackie's moves when singing on the set. Elvis paid for his funeral and gave the family money to pay for bills.
Elvis pushed Jackie's career, he loved Jackie and when Jackie first started performing in clubs, Elvis would call all his friends and say , let's go see Jackie tonight and fill up that place. See Jackie's son speak of how much Elvis paid Jackie's bills, Elvis didn't steal his style, Elvis was a star before Jackie got famous. Know history and stop trying to separate people.
----------URBAN LEGEND When asked in intereview, Jackie said Elvis was his favorite music. He loved Elvis & and it was mutual. Elvis paid for jackie's medical bills in 1975. Further, the roots of Rock & Roll are not exclusively R&B, that's why we have 2 different genres. While some R&B did stumble upon rock & roll here & there, it was not with any regularity. It wasn't until Elvis and Bill Hailey blended Country Music with Blues, they got a new sound. As for dance moves, c'mon man, no one has a patent on moving to the music. If you look at what else Elvis did, he was totally unique, doing a mix of dance & karate on stage was brilliant. No one else did that. Elvis once said, he just does what he feels, there wasn't any copying. Anyone thinking that Elvis did not influence R&B is crazy. While R&B influenced Elvis, it must be understood that Elvis went on to influence R&B. Rufus Thomas was right, "Elvis injected something into black music that wasn't there before, Elvis came up with a style of HIS OWN." When Elvis hit in 1956 internationally, Rock was on it's way with a hillbilly sound. He was universally heralded as the King of Rock & Roll by the public. When Bill Hailey recorded Rock Around The Clock in 1954 & again in 55, and Elvis simultaneously did Blue Moon of Kentucky (a rocking BLUEGRASS country song in the same year), along with a rock version of (what used to be a slow depressing blues song called) Mystery Train, Billboard Music Charts recognized this and called it the beginning of the rock era. So strong was Elvis, that his early music charted SIMULTANEOUSLY on 3 charts: Pop, Blues, and Country. What that is saying is, minority folks were buying his music, and it was played on their radio stations. Same with Country, same with Pop. This is unprecedented and unheard of. The Beatles, Queeen, Mjackson, Little Wayne, MAdonna, all never did this magical feat before. On top of that, Elvis often had these songs reach #1 on all 3 charts, totally mind boggling. BBKing was also right, Elvis didn't rip anyone off. Once someone does a song, anyone else is free to record it, do it their own way, etc. It's just jealousy because everything elvis did was hot, he had the whole package & talent & looks.... Understand also what "covering" a song means..... to record it AFTER the original artist already had their own hit with it. Not Elvis' fault that he consistently charted higher and his version was more polished and rocking than the old artists. This is true for any genre, Country, Gospel, Pop Crooning, etc. Speaking of crooning, did you know Elvis biggest idol was DEAN MARTIN? if you listen to Dean sing Memories ARe Made Of These, you can hear Dean's influence on Elvis. The vocals sound the same. We must acknowledge the Country Music influence on Elvis, which is being erased in the modern era.
Elvis never stole from anyone also Elvis came about 3 years before Jackie Wilson and Jac,ie said he based a lot of his dance moves from Elvis. Elvis and Jackie were also very good friends and when Jackie had a stroke Elvis had him transfered to a better hospital and payed all of Jackies hospital bills. Sick of these type of videos and the liars who post them.
There are a lot of African-American artists who were far more influential on Elvis than Jackie Wilson, from early R&B names like Arthur "Big Boy" Crudup and Roy Brown (who wrote Elvis's first two records on Sun) to later acknowledged stars like Chuck Berry (the real "king of rock 'n' roll), Little Richard, Fats Domino and Ray Charles. Yes, Black artists created rock and most of them died poor and forgotten, thanks largely to American racism, but at the height of his early fame in the mid-1950's Elvis's records regularly reached #1 in the pop, country AND R&B charts, so plenty of Black people were buying his records. Also some of the other comments betray a confusion between African-Americans and Native Americans, though some major musicians (notably Charlie Parker and Jimi Hendrix) were both.
“Disclaimer” Shown very briefly At the bottom of the screen- “Content might be gossip, rumors, or exaggerated.” is literally trying to EXCUSE AWAY this lousy video of lies.
This is a lie. Character assassination. You did not tell the truth here. What sealed the deal for me towards Elvis was finding out about his friendship with Jackie Wilson. Both entertainers had respect and admiration for one another. Both their careers had similar peaks and valleys. During the mid-70's, when Jackie suffered a heart attack on stage, the health scare essentially put an end to his performing days. Elvis was so hurt by the news, he informed Jackie's family that he'd personally handle all medical bills. Elvis did this right up until his own death in August of 1977. Now that's a true friend. NO RACIST would do this. IMPOSSIBLE Elvis was NOT PART of the group of white AND BLACK promoters and corporate bigs that were stealing from back artists. In fact Elvis hired and PAID black musicians during this period of time. Elvis put money ON MANY DINNER TABLES in the black community. Elvis paid SONG RIGHTS directly to the black artists AND SONG RESIDUALS on future sales. This is why black artists like OTIS BLACKWELL, LITTLE RICHARD and many other black legends LOVED ELVIS, and loved to WORK WITH HIM. This video is F'd up here.
An interviewer asked Jackie Wilson if he could be put in a room with one entertainer or performer to record with, Jackie answered without a beat "Elvis Presley". Elvis did not steal anything from Jackie Wilson. He was influenced by Jackie.
Truth. And Jackie was influenced by Elvis. Elvis started creating his style in the 1940s in EAST TRIGG BAPTIST CHURCH in MEMPHIS over A DECADE before anyone even knew who Jackie Wilson was, INCLUDING ELVIS!
What about Elvis helping paying the hospital bill in 1975 after Wilson had a stroke and being in a coma and paralyzed? Elvis and Jackie knew each other since the 50's. Elvis once said to Wilson upon meeting him in Las Vegas "It's about time that the white Elvis meet the black Elvis". There was no rivalry between them or stealing from each other.
@@mariehumphrey5328 Because Elvis and Jackie made that clear multiple times in their lifetime. Jackie's son still explains that Elvis also paid for Jackie's medical bills (Jackie had a tragic event happen during a show) until the day he died.
Elvis did not stole any one style or dancing moves of anyone with singing voices. Elvis was unique. He was a person with respect, integrity and very successful in his genre. It 's all the opposite. Entertainers stole from Elvis performance. All impersonators thousand of them. Plus Elvis was unique. He was the best entertainer of all time.
@@LIGHTS-1628 It’s not called stealing it’s called inspiration. All these singers take from one another. Jackie Wilson said ‘ I took as much from Elvis as he took from me'. Plus Jackie said this in the 1970s “A lot of people have accused Elvis of stealing the black man’s music, when in fact, almost every black solo entertainer copied his stage mannerisms from Elvis.” For example, that jumpsuit was first worn by Elvis. After that you see black and white artists doing the same thing. Artists are inspired by each other. Same thing with painters, actors, movies even scientists.

Stevie Wonder, Al Green and others as well talk about him.
Literally all his top songs that y’all all sing he stole from black artists. Nothing about Elvis was his own until closer to his death cut it out just like every white person at the time he took advantage of race music & didn’t credit the black artist he took the songs from acting like he made them.
You talking crazy. This is more ‘I’m white & I say so’. All of the genres you speak of were created by Black Americans aka American Indians and, are Black American culture. You trying to act like it’s a melting pot. It’s all from our (American Indian) culture. Otis Blackwell wrote a lot of Elvis’ biggest hits & Chuck Berry taught him how to dance. Ain’t nothing unique about Elvis. His a cheap knock-off of Black American aka American Indian aka Indigenous American culture. Stop the white-washing. Just a bunch of babbling. Nothing illusion about it.
Elvis didn't steal shit ...If he did then just about every entertainer from back then and even today is a damn THEIEF also . What Elvis did is what many., many entertainers do , especially today ....They cover other people's songs and sometimes even their styles . Elvis didn't do anything different .... And who the hell owns a copyright on dance styles ? NOBODY , that's who ! Some people are just jealous of the incredible success that Elvis had. Ray Charles. ( clearly a racist ) even called Elvis a "punk " and blamed Elvis for the lack of success that blacks had back in the 1950s ...Blame the racist record companies back then ...Elviis didn t have anything to do with it . If anything, it was Elvis that smashed the barriers that were holding black entertainers back . I'm so sick of people saying that Elvis stole black music and their styles. Elvis was influenced by black music , just like most people are influenced by others who came before THEM ...And not too long ago imitation was considered to be the sincerest form of flattery . So, I REPEAT , Elvis didn''t steal SHIT ! Get over your jealousy and racist tendencies , and enjoy the man. (Elvis ) for all his accomplishments in the field of entertainment , the way white people enjoy Michael Jackson , Nat King Cole, B.B. King, James Brown , and hundreds of other black entertainers of the past and the present . Music and styles doesn't exclusively belong to ANY individual . Never has and never will .

Did Michael Jackson steal Jackie Wilson's whole character 😂😂😂 Watch Jackie Wilson in concert of 73' and tell me Michael Jackson didn't say to himself inspiration who needs that I will take the whole thing and repackage it 😂
This narrator is spewing COMPLETE NONSENSE. Elvis was inspired by Jackie. And Jackie was influenced by Elvis. Elvis started creating his style in the 1940s in EAST TRIGG BAPTIST CHURCH in MEMPHIS over A DECADE before anyone even knew who Jackie Wilson was, INCLUDING ELVIS!
Elvis had his own act before even new Jackie Wilson. He picked up some Jackie Wilson mores, was influenced , everyone was influenced by each other back then
Um, except that most Black people didn't ask to be here so we had to adapt. Also I'm part Cherokee but only like 1% so that doesn't matter. I wouldn't mind making space but your oppressors make that hard.
I love the disclaimer, that it might be gossip or rumours or exaggerated, but it never claimed to be the truth. And sadly it isn't. Elvis absorbed all kinds of music and what came out was his unique blend of all he'd absorbed. It was his style, it was his sound, no one else's. He didn't sound like nobody, but himself. Elvis has always acknowledged those who influenced him. He was great friends of many of them. Roy Hamilton for one. As for Elvis stealing Jackie Wilsons style and fame, that's a joke. Elvis had already made it big with his own style and performance before Jackie began his career as a solo artist. As for Jackie being an influence on Elvis, that appears very unlikely. There is no sign of any influence he might have had on Elvis. You're trying to find a needle in a hay stack that isn't there. And defining an era, that was Elvis Presley, not Jackie Wilson. Elvis defined the 50's as did rock ,n roll, something that Jackie Wilson didn't perform. He was a crooner. Compared with Elvis, he practically stood still. Elvis copied his style from no one, no one before Elvis moved in such away while performing on stage, except maybe a stripper. TCE
Elvis didn’t steal anything musical, it was dance movements and style Elvis liked? Elvis was a Jackie Wilson, Elvis borrowed Jackie Wilson’s dance steps for a movie, which he invited Jackie to the shoot of the scene, your video is a pack of lies!!!! Elvis moved naturally, there was no comparison in their moves, accept a forgotten scene he borrowed for a movie after watching Jackie in a small LA club?
First off Jermaine Jackson doesn't always talking about. Trying to say Elvis stole the dance moves from Jackie Wilson. First off Elvis came out 1954. Singing That's alright Mama shaking his hips and everything. Wilson came out 1957 what's lonely teardrops. Elvis Presley and Jackie Wilson were great friends. As well also BB King and Elvis Presley were great friends. Little Richard was performing tutti frutti in a nightclub and Elvis was in there with BB King. And BB King towed Elvis that if he recorded tutti frutti he would make a bigger head out of the song and Elvis of course didn't believe what he was trying to say. It was because Elvis was white and he can get the song done. Put Little Richard what he did he trusted the wrong promoter in the promoter was white and gave the song to Pat Boone to record first. And Pat Boone had to change his tempo of the song quite a bit because it was just too fast for Pat Boone to do it. But Elvis Presley decided to record the song and killed it because he kept it the same way that Little Richard did it with all that energy gone and dancing and all that stuff. Another words, Elvis Presley open up the doors for everyone. Elvis Presley took out a criticism of the way he moved and danced and all that stuff. Legs and the girls are going crazy. And Jackie Wilson came on the scene. All the controversy was pretty much over at that time. Elvis went into service in 1958. Then I just came out of the service and started making more movies pretty much through all the 60s. Now Quincy Jones and Ray Charles started the rumor about being racist with Elvis Elvis was fired from racist and everybody knows it to this day that was all bulshit. It was just jealousy Quincy Jones love Michael Jackson. but I don't know if you know this when Jackie Wilson died Elvis Presley paid for his funeral and everything. At least at least that's what I read, Little Richard used to go around and say that he was the king of rock and roll. Little Richard was here again but he was a great entertainer, Little Richard made a mistake on his first song tutti frutti cuz he didn't have a manager. He was ripped off with tutti frutti with Pat Boone. But even though tutti frutti was written by Little Richard. So anybody that recorded that song what had to pay Little Richard money for writing that song but back then when Colonel Parker took over his manager his thing was every song that Elvis Presley when we record that he would get half of the rights of the song that was the business part if I was did any recording of songs and some of it I was didn't even know what Colonel Parker was up to. Like Play the song I Will always Love you he wanted to record that song and it was all set up from Dolly Parton and then Colonel said oh by the way you know when we recorded the song that we get half of the rights of the song well Dolly Parton backed out says no I'm not going to do that cuz that's her bread and butter cuz she's already got a hit from the song from her own self. When I was found out Elvis was going to fire Colonel Parker because that wasn't right he really wanted to be coordinate song the same thing happened to Jerry Reed with guitar man they recorded us on they got the track down cuz no other person can hit the licks like Jerry Lee did and Jerry Reed pretty much walked in the studio and said send the Elvis you're the most beautiful person I've ever seen in my world I thought that was like a great great compliment from coming from another man but he was serious.. but Jerry Reed still stuck to his guns about the song he was not going to give half of that song away even though I was saying it better and made it a better hit he put it on a church but Jerry Reed didn't but Jerry Reed played the guitar to it like no other. My dad said no problem he still wanted to record the song. Like getting back to Jackie Wilson Elvis never stole nothing from Jackie Wilson and Wilson never stole nothing from Elvis not that I know of they were just great friends when he passed away it destroyed Elvis cuz I was really liked him and from what I read that he paid for all his funeral arrangements at that time. Jackson 5's are coming up and around this late 70s early 70s why didn't they offer to pay for Jackie Wilson Michael Jackson was inspired by Wilson if anyone stolen any moves from anyone it was Michael Jackson stole it a lot of moves from Jackie Wilson it was even in the movie. For Jermaine Jackson to say that Elvis Presley stoled moves from Wilson he's got it all wrong. Because Jackie Wilson came out with lonely teardrops 1957 that's alright Mama came out 1954 3 years earlier. Plus other songs came out hound dog came out 1956 so Elvis was moving his hips. And shaking his leg weigh before Wilson came out because Wilson would even have got on TV if it wasn't for Elvis.Elvis got on all the TV shows and he took all the criticism just because of his dance moves when she was not doing nothing wrong just turning on all the girls so could you imagine if Jackie Wilson got on there and on the news on the TVs. Get back then there was a lot of prejudice going on in the early fifties. And kind of changed when Elvis came back from the army and he changed his image but he made movies throughout the 60s and then he did the 68 comeback special just knocked it out of the park. The Beatles came in in the 60s started taking over you know playing their music but the thing with Elvis didn't like about them was they were doing illegal drugs I was on a good prescription drugs with he thought that was okay because the doctor is giving it to him. Because he had other problems that he needed he had glaucoma he had insomnia he had twisted colon he had enlarged heart.enlarged liver just like his family members his mother died of a heart attack but she had sclerosis of the liver they said which you don't get scared of the liver by just drinking beer and that's all she drinks and she didn't start really drinking until Elvis became a superstar and when he went into the army and that's what she said worrying. Anyways I apologize if my words don't come out because my voice texting and I'm half asleep anyways I've been up. I'm in the hospital right now I had major back surgery so it's about ready for me to hit the sack anyways I just wanted to comment on certain things that there is no prejudice and Elvis's mine and they definitely was no copy and I was everything he ever did was his own he made his own dance moves he made his own style of the music of the song that he sang that the black people had wrote or song but they couldn't get out on the radio or get published until Elvis open up the door for them even Little Richard said he probably wouldn't have been getting on there if it wasn't for Elvis Elvis helped out a lot of the brothers James Brown loved Elvis he cried like a baby when I almost died.James Brown and Elvis became good friends too James Brown was the godfather of soul of any black music. If you ask me James Brown was just James Brown he did it he got on the stage and he's just knocked it around. Anyways Jermaine Jackson you got it all wrong you need to change your book
It doesn't take much skill or so-called "worth ethic" when you have those like Elvis, who have spent decades emulating and stealing from Black artists that's already set the blueprint.😅.
Work ethic? The only work Elvis put in was his nose snorting all those drugs... He wasn't creative and he wasn't that skilled... He took from other people who were less fortunate than him, and ran with it.
I heard a comment on another post saying Elvis gave exposure to the black artists he was copying, not from where my Father came from, infact Elvis more or less stopped RnB playing in certain countries because real R&B fans could no longer purchase music. This happened because the music was watered down for white audiences with white artists. Little Richard once said R&B had a baby & that was Rock & Roll. For decades black artists have been overlooked for cheap fake imposters.
Elvis was not a wanna-be he was real. The Beatles, The Bee Gees, Elvis all of them owe a lot to black artists, and these black artists borrowed from others also.
In a era where live performances was still in it's infancy Jackie was unique so Elvis stole the style of someone who invented his style of performance. Stop try to water it down by saying that artist borrow from each other implying that Jackie did too because Jackie never borrowed his performing arts he created it and it was stolen from him by someone who was able to pass it off as his own and become more famous with it because he was white and more palatable to mainstream media.

@@maninthewilderness3208 In 1968, Elvis presented Roy with a beautiful new song 'Angelica' (Barry Mann/Cynthia Weill) that he was going to record himself. The song turned out to be the single released from his final session, a soaring, dramatic rendition that unfortunately struggled to find radio airplay. It also turned out to be Roy's last single as sadly, on July 20, 1969, the distinctive voice of Roy Hamilton was silenced when he died following a stroke. They were great friends.

----------URBAN LEGEND
When asked in intereview, Jackie said Elvis was his favorite music.
Rufus Thomas was right, "Elvis injected something into black music that wasn't there before, Elvis came up with a style of HIS OWN."
When Elvis hit in 1956 internationally, Rock was on it's way with a hillbilly sound.

IMPOSSIBLE
Elvis was NOT PART of the group of white AND BLACK promoters and corporate bigs that were stealing from back artists.

TCE

Like
Play the song I Will always Love you he wanted to record that song and it was all set up from Dolly Parton and then Colonel said oh by the way you know when we recorded the song that we get half of the rights of the song well Dolly Parton backed out says no I'm not going to do that cuz that's her bread and butter cuz she's already got a hit from the song from her own self.

Google JACKIE WILSON ""DANNY BOY"" JACKIE IS ONE OF THE GREATEST SINGERS EVER
Jackie Wilson worked with Elvis on his debut album he had influence in Elvis Presleys sound so for people that’s saying no you are mistaken
where can this information be found?
Jack Wilson looks like a Griffe↪👨🏾👍🏾.
In Louisiana France, he would've been called a Griffe.
That dude ain't Black.
Stop what this ODR
Yeah, his favor was white!
Man those two were friends Elvis started in 1954 all this gossip bunch of BS
Just stop enough
Stop with the disclaimer we know Elvis stole a lot of peoples styles he admitted it just a copy but not carbon
Reference the quote and source of a statement that Elvis made in which he stated he stole people’s style.
elvis stole from several black singers
Did he have the "work ethic" elvis had... didn't think so, long live the king
It doesn't take much skill or so-called "worth ethic" when you have those like Elvis, who have spent decades emulating and stealing from Black artists that's already set the blueprint.😅.
You must be sniffing glue 😵💫
The great Ray Charles knew Elvis wasn’t shit, but he commented he would get into trouble for telling the truth.
It was Ron Hamilton elvis copied from
All ima say is Otis Blackwell
Elvis was not a wanna-be he was real. The Beatles, The Bee Gees, Elvis all of them owe a lot to black artists, and these black artists borrowed from others also.
A crap video based on a lie.
Go look at hiw jackie loved elvis
In a era where live performances was still in it's infancy Jackie was unique so Elvis stole the style of someone who invented his style of performance. Stop try to water it down by saying that artist borrow from each other implying that Jackie did too because Jackie never borrowed his performing arts he created it and it was stolen from him by someone who was able to pass it off as his own and become more famous with it because he was white and more palatable to mainstream media.
Where do you get this information? Jackie and Elvis were friends. Look for pictures of them together on the web. Plus Jackie said this:’I took as much from Elvis as he took from me'. Then in the 1970s Jackie said
‘A lot of people have accused Elvis of stealing the black man’s music, when in fact, almost every black solo entertainer copied his stage mannerisms from Elvis.’
@@IthacaPegasus Dude unless you are too much of an Elvis fan you won't see it, Elvis was a artist and took more than the artistic music style of black people everybody knows that Elvis was made only because he was the only white person who could copy the black man style. Also do know the time Jackie was in if he came out and talked against a white person ofcource he would not have a career if you think that was not a problem then explain racism on MTV years later if racial bias and racism never edited then.
I never denied the two being close friends that's a common knowledge so I don't understand you wrote what you did
@@scottsalvatore7353 You said you don’t understand why I wrote what I did. You said Elvis stole and I find it an odd statement. Elvis grew up in Shake Rag, the historical black community. Black neighbors, black church and black music. He learned and was taught that music. He even credited BB King as one of his early teachers in 1956 at a charity event to benefit black children. Yet you say he stole. I mean there are fantastic Black Opera singers that changed the landscape of Opera. Are they thieves too? Black Karate masters in the Japanese arts have enhanced and some creating a style of their own yet no one is going around called them thieves of Japanese Karate. I don’t understand your reasoning.
@@IthacaPegasus if Jackie create his style which was so unique even white people notice and question if Elvis copied it isn't it stolen
@@scottsalvatore7353 From what period did Elvis copy from Jackie? As far as I know Elvis had 3 different styles. One for the 50s, one for the 60s and one for the 70s. Which one are you referring to?
I see 2 great performers! One’s holding a guitar & the other’s not😅
Check Roy Hamilton, elvis stole from him.
WRONG. Elvis WORKED WITH ROY. They were VERY CLOSE friends and fellow artists who were creating a new sound together. Roy sang like a white guy, and Elvis was accused of sounding like a black guy. They sounded similar on a few songs but Elvis' style3 WAS COMPLETELY DIFFERENT and ORIGINAL. You have NO IDEA what you are talking about.
Yeah Elvis got his style from Jackie Wilson
s
Wrong. Jackie even said it. "A lot of people have accused Elvis of stealing the black man's music, when in fact, almost every black solo entertainer copied from Elvis." --- JACKIE WILSON
How Elvis was already selling records before Jackie Wilson. But you blacks in America live spouting your lies its actually pathetic. Also Jackie and Elvis were very good friends .
😮well I be damn
The STUPID MUSIC is drowning out the narrative
JACKIE Wilson Mr Excitement Roy Hamilton is the guy Elvis Mimic
Oh shut up with the bs Elvis didn't mimik anyone he was a true on off and you black people are just seething with jealousy over the fact a white man was the greatest singer and entertainer to ever be put on this earth.
No he stole Roy Hamilton style
No. Elvis was inspired by Roy. And Mahalia Jackson.THEY KNEW that Elvis had his OWN STYLE. THEY KNEW that Elvis didn't steal anything from them. THEY WERE ON THE SAME TEAM. That's why they all loved each other and respected each other deeply. You have NO IDEA what you are talking about.
Roy sang like a WHITE GUY, with excellent pronunciation. Elvis liked his style of singing, but he also liked DEAN MARTIN's style. And many others. There was nothing to steal from Roy.
poster boy for american apartheid
wrong it was Roy Hamilton
Such a hateful way to title this video. How about "Black singers that Elvis admired and used their style to let the world know though his world wide popularity". Why are you trying to stain the memories of a man who was never a racist but instead respected the Black music and Black singers style!
Stop all this ...this is bullshit ..elvis never stole music or dance or anything what do you ..Elvis is a the greatest he is American from the south he got his south talent in his blood cmon Elvis is king Jacky is nothing Clos Elvis...
Look up a video of Roy Hamilton!!
Yes Elvis STOLE while Michael was INSPIRED by Jackie Wilson. LMAO.
It’s black culture you missing that part hun
@@AbrakadabraAcrylicsElvis covered songs as everyone else. The newest thang is to assist black UA-camrs have another new critique name to spit out. Even Bill Burrs hun running with fresh material Lmao.
Jackie Wilson saw Elvis earlier and impersonated him in a group in Vegas in 50s. Elvis was in Vegas for his show and went to a show and saw him not knowing his name and in a recording in a box set he spoke about this guy playing ME and he was great. Jackie impersonated Elvis.
Elvis “stole” because he was White no,? But MJ was just inspired 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Applause please everyone for this inteligent comment
Still lying

If anything, it’s Big Mama Thornton.

Don’t forget the guy Elvis was most impressed with but this would not really be interesting for the pop press!
May I present Bluesman Slim Harpo.Elvis Loved him and his stage movements and copied him but pop press ignored him!
@@devonmoors ofcource they won't
Roy Hamilton should be the subject on this topic, not Jackie.

@@depper You know, your words could get lost when you end such an informative comment with an insult.
@@maninthewilderness3208 Ok, perhaps we can meet in the middle then. I will have to apologize, and I'll even remove that portion of my comment.
You can find photos of them hanging out together on the net.
@@depper No worries. Been there, done that. Look at my initial post. I spoke it as an absolute and it’s not and my research could be more thorough. We’re all works in progress. Appreciate the response.
That ELVIS DEVIL also stole from Lil Richie
No. Elvis did not. Little Richard was PAID for song rights and is ON VIDEO thanking Elvis for making HIM BIGGER.
"I thank the LORD For Mr. Elvis Presley for paving the street so I can walk down that road." LITTLE RICHARD.
How Elvis came out before Little Richard so shut up with the lies.
Please EDUCATE YOURSELF BrianSapp before commenting again. Little Richard MADE THOSE COMMENTS I mentioned. The part where Little Richard explains that Elvis made "Tootie Frutti bigger" AND HIMSELF "BIGGER" is even ON VIDEO!
@@deborahwhitney9427 Exactly. Little Richard was crystal clear about Elvis.
Look up Otis Blackwell. That’s who Elvis stole from…
