    Hi I purchased a 2010 RRS which has had an Overfinch body kit added aftermarket. It has rear sensors which do not seem to be working. following your video, which was an absolute gem, I have checked the looms and found there is power going to all sensors and module. I cant though seem to see a parking assist button anywhere on the console. can you offer any advice as to the problem?

    Hi guys. I have a 2005 4.2SC Sport that has had a 2012 front end conversion. Ive just ordered a new brake switch, acc relocation bracket, tailgate release switch and rear light resistors from you today :-) Sometimes the parking sensors work but most of the time the button doesn’t work, nothing when you are in reverse etc but no error messages. Any idea where to look? Thanks

    Hey Guys!
    Once again you've out done your selfs with a great video!
    I am planning on putting on the PDC system on my lr3 07 base model... and would like to ask if
    1, it's a matter of plug and play ( after installing the rear wiring loom + sensors into the module and replacing the dash board console for the pdc button)
    2. If the system would work with only the rear sensors installed (without the front ones)
    3. And also as stated in the video, after removing the rear trim panel I found one out of those 3 plugs ( the larger orange one 16pins) are the two other plugs the front and rear wiring looms for the sensors?
    Thank you =)

      Hi - these are very good questions and tricky for me to answer but you seem to have done your homework !
      I would suggest it is quite easy to mock up the sensors and loom without actually fitting them and test your theory.

    Love your videos. Would you by chance know why brake lights on both sides might fail when the center upper brake light works? I add a new Brake Switch and tested the fuse. I seem to not be getting power to my rear brake lights, could not get my voltage meter to read any voltage on them. I have an 08 sport.

      Hi Aaron
      Sorry for late reply are you still struggling with this ?
      Here is the wiring diagram for your car it seems that if the high mounted light is working the others should be ?

      Do you know if the wire to the lower brake lights split near the wire on the higher brake light? From the diagram it appears so. Trying to determine where I can test upstream.

    • @L663
      @L663  3 роки тому

      @@AaronWerner Its an odd one if you look at the wiring as the left and the right split at a different point.

    Hi, As usual great vids, can you help me, I have a Discovery sport 2017, none of the back sensors work, ive used a code reader and its confirming all 4 not working, my question is do you think its the wire loom or Module, if a module where is it fitted, your help would be greatly received and keep the vids coming very good.

    • @L663
      @L663  4 роки тому

      OK so it the code reader is reading faults there must be power to the module. There are 3 wires on each parking sensor - 12v 0v and signal. The best place to start would be checking that there is 12v and 0v on each sensor. It could be a bad earth connection ? or one on the plugs is not correctly plugged - maybe bumper loom to body plug ? I need to get a Disco Sport.... let me look on CoPart now...

      @@L663 You read my mind , I was looking on your vids for a discovery sport bumper removal, l did see someone on another take a bumper off and the wire loom for the sensors were on the drivers side and he couldnt unclick it one handed so put the camera down and he said this is a newer model, the older model (pre 2018) it just pulled apart, I'm thinking it may have just pulled apart (fell off) any how I will wait for some dry weather and do what you suggested, if I get a result I will let you know. ps Im thinking due to the connector on the rear bumper drivers side it might be teh drivers side were the module is! Thanks for your speedy reply,
