hey guys great video on how not to turn a rc car into a boat hehe ;) i'm no expert on marine engineering or whatever they call people who make boats, but! i find it so obvious and am surprised nobody has also picked up on this, what the mistake is that is causing the lack of propulsion.... ??? the reason is because your propeller rig is completely submerged... its acting more like an impeller with no directional forcing tube/pipe than a propeller. now if it was only about one third submerged i think and believe it will go a heck of a lot faster... just a guess but i think its a good one haha please try it and make another video... please :)

Thanks for the comment! You're probably right about why it didn't have much propulsion there. I think it's also because the motor inside just simply isn't powerful enough. I do plan to make more videos eventually, I know it's been a while since I have uploaded. I've been very busy making short films and other cool projects.

Excellent editing. Love the 'journey' style... from shopping for RC car to dining table lab to traffic lights to lake. Great music too. Would the boat have moved faster with broader attachments?
Thank you! I believe if I added larger attachments it wouldn't have moved at all. The entire thing was powered by a few batteries and one cheap brushed motor. I'd have to essentially build an entire new RC circuit with a bigger power source and better motors.

I'm planning on it. I'm have just recently dropped down two of my shifts at one of my other day jobs so I'm hoping I can start to make videos again with the extra time I've now got

I don't know, I usually get about 100 or so views per video and with 14k subs, not really that great.
