For all you out there that think Ridgid's warranty is so good. Here's my experience. I also own mostly Ridgid tools. I bought an orbital sander 2 years ago. Sander dies out while sanding. I contacted Ridgid, they gave me a number for the repairs, and told me I had to take it to the nearest authorized repair center which is only 7 miles away. I go there to get it repaired and they informed me that I had to pay a fee to look at the sander in the amout of $60. I only paid $60 for the sander new. I asked them why I had to pay a fee to look at my sander and they informed me that Ridgid doesn't pay the repair centers for there labor. Long story short, I won't buy anymore Ridgid tools.

I bought a rigid orbital sander and have brought it in twice for repairs, no charge. Probably not great that it died twice in three, but it runs perfectly well after the repairs. Once the switch stopped working and once the motor burnt out..

So far the only warranty claim I’ve had to make on any of my Ridgid equipment was for batteries. I bought the first set of tools in 2012 and in 2020 the two batteries that came with that kit finally got to the point where they just would not run tools for any length of time anymore. They’d both run my LED work light all day long, but in any of the power tools they would die in about 45 seconds of use. I call Ridgid. They asked me for an explanation of what was going on. I told them. They asked to verify the serial numbers then told me two new batteries were on their way and to keep (or dispose of) the old ones. I’m still using the old ones since they literally will last almost a full day operating my light. I guess we’ll see how things go once one of the tools die.

Love the video. Your title didn't help though. I'm not sure what you're talking about when you say "people don't teach this." I've seen lots of videos showing how to build a cabinet/box, make drawers, install drawer slides, make a base, attach a base to a piece of furniture, install a drawer front, and even use a power carver. Your explanations were great. Your title told me nothing about the video though, and it's the same with a lot of your videos. I guess if it works for you. But you're using clickbait titles for content that's WAY better than clickbait...except that your title ends up making it clickbait if you don't clarify what you mean.

IMO you should only use a grinder with a safety clutch, quick brake and variable speed for carving. Some carving discs are quite dangerous and the clutch helps prevent kickbacks.
Unfortunately these are $325 grinders and I think only two brands make them. Fingers aren’t cheap though either.

While you were using the power carver you were wearing a jacket with dangly cord on the waist and it was very close to the machine... that could have looked very gruesome if it had catched them and swung the machine to your abdomen. never wear dangly stuff or jewelery when using a machine!

I don't often post negative comments, but I'm seeing a lot more of this lately... your title is clickbait. I don't know what the thing is that I was supposed to be taught, but I'm not going to watch a 15 minute video in hopes that whatever it was going to be would be new to me. The video may have been wonderful, but I won't know because I don't like being tricked. How about you title the video, "I made a really nice cabinet" or something honest.
Plus, I don't buy it that you didn't know you were recording when you came dancing into the shot. Seems disingenuous.
This was the first time one of your videos popped up in my feed. Not a good first impression.

      Couldn't agree more...
I did watch it to the end. A nice build and well-executed. I won't be watching any more of your videos & certainly not subscribing.

Teach what? I do NOT use a push block on top of the piece being cut, too much chance of it slipping, and causing an accident. Speaking of which several views of you using the table saw looked like you were standing in line with the blade, and excellent way to get hit in the gut if there is kickback. Track saw? I can get the same results with the skill saw I bought in the early '70s, and still use, just clamp down a board to guide it. I learned all the stuff you use fancy tools for, but I use hand tools normally, and learned way before you were ever born. No thanks, I trust I won't be back again.
