A thing I have learned recently. Things don’t have o match, they just have to look like they are supposed to be that way. That’s why making sure seams match up is more important that getting patterns to match. If a seam is even, it tricks the eye into thinking they see a seamless pattern.

I love this idea. I'll try this and cut the second shirt on the bias. I feel cutting the second shirt on the bias will allow it to drape around the curve without having to drastically gather it. This should be a fun project. 😊

Not only is this super cute, but relatively simple. I gotta check my dress shirt stash I'm gonna try this. I think I'll add another panel on the hem before the ruffle so I have more length. ❤❤❤❤ this!
This really came out cute and the blue B patch brought the color from the ruffle trim used up and made the whole look intentional. Love it! I'm also envious of your sewing skills 🤗 I have multiple bins full of material that I keep adding to and never use. (Mostly used items like sheets and clothing that has 1 minor thing wrong like a wee hole or stain, but otherwise is perfectly good material that I can't bring myself to throw out) I've made easy things like curtains and a futon cover, the most intricate item I've tried was a twin size patchwork duvet cover and I'm pretty sure I used every curse word invented while making it 🤣🤣 You make it look so easy!! But believe me, that's a talent not all of us share 😣

For instance, most people my age talk about back and knee pain and so I had started doing the same. Then I realized that I don’t truly have those issues yet. It was just what I thought I should have at this age.
I typically type in a certain aesthetic like Y2K, grunge, dark academia, etc. Once I see one look that I like, I scroll down to see other things like it and pin the looks I like. After you start pinning Pinterest will show you way more.
