Axel Zwingenberger, Vince Weber, Stefan Ulbricht- And no one is interested into this art 😢 Theres just a hand full of boogie woogie masters. We should apprechiate it mich more because its dieing out
Axel is one of the best alive playing boogie music. It is a shame that in the US this music is not embraced. It is worth noting that in most of Europe boogie woogie is a popular style of modern music.
On the female side, kind of restricted comment. Add 100s more. Start with Lynn Albritton, Honey Piazza, Marcia Ball, Ladyva. I could go on. The best is Lynn Allbritton closely followed by Marcia Ball. Kris from Sweden,
sorry mr.widdy - ...i have to add this ...... the most amazing post 40s boogie player is/was Vince Weber from Hamburg. Please listen to his LP "the boogie man" 1975. He won an award for that. Please listen carefully to his drive in the left hand. There is no piano player who can surpass this beat - this drive .... talking about boogie players who started their recording after 1970. please show me an album/artist after 1970 of someone who could match this boogie drive. thanx chris the bluesfrog. ua-cam.com/video/PJGGM4OEiOA/v-deo.html xxx

Vindt boogy woogy fantastisch bewonder de pianisten die het geweldig bespelen ...De Piano is ook eën van mijn lievelingen 👍🎹❤🇳🇱👋
yesssssss!!!!!
I totally agree with you, as a old Swiss guy!
The best
Sweet!
Axel should work together with Martin Schmidt-Hahn on clarinet and sax. I saw Martin play in Hamburg Cotton Club on boogie and blues. Great !!!
Sounds like a Steinway. Excellent pacing and expression
I think it is a Boesendorfer, first by the sound, but also because Axel is so fond of Boesendorfer.
Axel and Jörg Hegemann are possibly the two greatest male boogie pianists ever. On the female side, we have Jan Preston and Doña Oxford!
Don't forget Ladyva (Vanessa Gnaegi from Switzerland) and Caroline Dahl.
Hey folks, what about Henry ,Stefan, and more?
