I finally know what those two long screws are for. This is the part that gave me the most trouble. Everything else is an sinch. This is the best video on how to instal pressure regulator spring. Thanks'

outstanding video! just what i needed . read it all through in my GM Vette manual bit seeing someone go through the steps is excellent.
THANKS! keep the video camera rolling.

I just saw my problem ! I put the rubber O ring into the groove and then the metal ring on top of that and as soon as I turned on the key gas started running out the bottom of the injector , I suspected the injector was not going down far enough , well I have a feeling it will work a lot better now ! Thank You very much !

Probably used a fine glass to blast, sand can cause pitting ruin the throttle body. Looks nice and clean

Intake manifolds I chase the threads. Do the same for the engine before mounting the intake or throttle body, makes better true torque tightness.

I used an orbital DeWalt sander the sand the planes of the Intake Manifold doesn’t have to be too abrasive and did a really good job. It’s stunk, but I soaked the intake manifold and paint thinner for about a week a lot cheaper than Berryman’s to have to buy that much, Berrymans is about $40 a gallon. in the 1980s about $15 a gallon.

Do you have a video showing the procedure for installing the new throttle shaft bushings?

Hi there. Was wondering if you know where I can get the replacement kit you used. I ordered one off Amazon that said it fits and everything did EXCEPT the red ish gasket you put where the spring sits on. The one that came in my kit just has a quarter (coin) shaped metal at the bottom, otherwise from where spring is. BUT the original one AND the one in your video has that smaller circle that’s sort of on a swivel. I need THAT gasket. I’d buy a whole new kit if it meant I can get the right gasket lol. If you have a link to where you ordered I would be grateful !

I see no difference in the bore sizes when I mic them. They also take the same injectors. Front being different from rear.
So is the difference in the program in computer????

Excellent video, THANK YOU! BTW, what do you mean when you say "Chase your threads"?

run a thread tap thru to clean and straighten threads.

You dont need any thread sealer on the fuel fittings/iac? Or thread locker on the fuel meter body/cover?

What is the difference between the Rodchester 22 and the rodchester 24 castings for the tbi systems

      Sorry I wouldn't know that.

The Rochester 22 and Rochester 24 are different types of throttle body injection (TBI) systems, primarily used in General Motors vehicles. The differences between these two castings typically relate to the following aspects:
      Bore Size:
The Rochester 22 often features a smaller bore size compared to the Rochester 24. The bore size affects the amount of air that can pass through the throttle body, which in turn influences the engine's airflow and power output.
      Flow Rate:
Because of the difference in bore size, the Rochester 24 generally allows for a higher airflow rate, making it suitable for larger or higher-performance engines.
      Fuel Delivery:
The fuel injectors used in these TBIs might differ in flow rates to match the air intake. The Rochester 24 might be paired with injectors that can deliver more fuel to accommodate the increased airflow.
      Application:
The Rochester 22 is typically used in smaller engines, where a lower flow rate is sufficient. The Rochester 24, on the other hand, is used in larger or higher-performance engines that require more air and fuel.
      Mounting and Compatibility:
There may also be differences in how these TBIs mount to the intake manifold or their compatibility with different engine models.
      Identification:
The casting numbers or markings on the throttle bodies help identify the specific model. These numbers are usually cast into the body of the TBI unit and are used to distinguish between the Rochester 22 and Rochester 24.
These differences are crucial when selecting a TBI system for a specific engine, as choosing the right one ensures proper fuel and air delivery, optimizing engine performance.
