    no oil pump cutoff test - no primary safety test - no high limit test - no relief valve test and no combustion efficiency test. GOOD JOB 👌

    That NX burner assembly whistles when it runs. It's a nice boiler too.

    That's a slick design... boilers that have the front access door.

    Hi Steve, great vid. I am thinking of installing that same model WM boiler...do you remember if it was a direct vent? that would explain why it had a Beckett NX instead of an AFG. McLain claims the NX is the only one rated for direct vent. This is the same set up I would need for my house. Any thoughts??? Thanks Man!!

      Brian Sheridan i would not get a weil mclain boiler the nx burners are junk... get a boiler that has a riello burner on it much better burner ,for derect venting

      @@stevenlavimoniereHi Steve quick question I'm also interested in purchasing this unit for my place would it be okay to use an afg Beckett burner for this boiler?

    That filter was screwed on way too tight dude!

    Um, not only did Beckett discontinue the piece of crap AF2 burner eons ago before the Ultra even existed, if you can’t IMMEDIATELY tell it from an NX, you might want to…..yeah…

      I had a pos nx and returned it after a month. Just would not run right. Came across this video. I had the nx 10 years ago Went with the riello and smooth as silk. So much easier to tune also.

    Thanks for the video Steve. So the boiler is made by Scotch Marine and labeled Weil Mclain? It looks like a high quality unit and easy to clean. Those oil filter wrenches are the cat's ass. I don't see very many screw on filters in your videos.

    Without doing a flue gas analyzation and smoke test you have no idea what that burner is doing. You can't simply eyeball it and call it good. You could be way off or at the very least you are not getting peak efficiency.

      @stevenlavimoniere  10 років тому +1

      Tim Strobl i agree combuston analyzas is great to fine tune the burner i can get it real close my eye after 20 years doing in .

    BTW you should have verified the fuel delivery pressure, stack draft, and ran an anylizer to give the homeowner his best efficiency, but I guess you can set that all by eye.......NOT

    Steven, with an outside tank, he would be better off just using kerosene instead of #2. I have the same situation, and they seem to run so much better, (and quieter), when it's below 20 degrees outside.

    • @stevenlavimoniere
      @stevenlavimoniere  10 років тому +1

      well in my state .you have to run kerosne if you live in a house trailer .i do agree it runs better .but people are cheap and run home heating oil instead if its and out side tank i try to get them to install antijell so it don't jell up i have had some problems with tanks jelling up in cold weather its not a good thing

      steven lavimoniere Hi Steven, I was wondering. I have an outside oil tank and have had problems with the oil jelling up this winter. How effective is the antijell in preventing jell-up when its 10 degrees or below out? Thanks for posting these videos.

    • @stevenlavimoniere
      @stevenlavimoniere  10 років тому +1

      Rj Farrell one it jell- up your screwed so don't let that happen add anti jell before it jell's one can before every fill up if you get a bad batch of oil there is nothing you can do but maybe cut it with kerosene ,you can run kerosene also they do in all trainer homes up my way.kerosene has a less chance of jelling
