This is probably one of the *BEST* demo showcase for a Mortal Kombat game! It still stands up after *8 years* !!
I still consider it one of the best mk games definitely got ruff when mkX came out it was broken khabal sector Sonya where the worst to deal with
I watched this video SO many times as a kid. That wait felt like it was never gonna end.
FACTS! I remember seeing the trailer pop up as I was scrolling through UA-cam, and I was like “there’s no way they’re making a new mortal kombat”. And then I saw this I was like BRO! The wait did indeed feel mad long lol

Oh man this was 12 years ago. I was just finishing my first year of high school during this time
Some Beta/Changed content stuff from this version.
-All the Throws had unique canera view.was removed in the Final
-MK VS DC Fatality jingle and music used here as a placeholder.
-Special Bar/X Ray meter had different desing.
-Sub Zero's X Ray had a different slow approach at the start.
-Scorpion had Quan chi's 2nd Fatality as Placeholder (Trailer)
-Name Font on the Health bar was Different and was simplier
Same with Mileena's Xray she doesn't use her sais
i wish the kept the MK vs DC fatality theme. scorpion’s spear also had a lower pitched sound effect too

i love how you can actually see the damage happening to ur character (ripped suit, cuts and scrapes) i love games that do that! i hate in some games ur character goes through some crazy stuff and then hes spotless lol

im so glad im an 80's baby an grew up when i did.. i still remember when mortal kombat 1st came out an my friends an i would be at school in homeroom debating on who was more dope sub-zero or scorpion...the good ol dayz
Dude reptiles force ball is so raw, very awesome juggling capabilities. Plus the eye gouge is just straight dirty.. I LOVE IT!!
Is it just me or does this mortal kombat seem more gory than the newer ones

Unfortunaly in the 2:12 , 3:02 , 3:50 , 5:30 , 9:11 closer camera look doesn't have in orginal game. Also 4:10 x-ray changed.
well this was a year before the game actually released so they could have made changes
Yea that’s true and I have to admit it did add a good 3D effect to the arenas but I’m not so sure why it was taken off . Or why scorpions Throw was givein to kano

Looks like fun. The fatalities look as good as ever and it's nice to see them back. Kung Lao's in particular is pretty damn gruesome.

I'm glad they went back to 2D; the only good 3D Mortal Kombat was Deception, and even that one didn't feel like classic MK.

The last Mortal Kombat I actually really enjoyed. MKX/MK11 feel too much like injustice. I also hate the new OST.
You are a little crazy if you think MKX feels like Injustice at all. Maybe MK11, but even that has its own gameplay and doesn't feel nearly as slow as Injustice 1 or 2.
Roam well in my opinion! I’m comparing all the old school MK with the current stuff. So yeah, mkx/11 don’t feel like MK.

I remember seeing videos and gameplay of this game when I was in like 1st 2nd grade. Problem was is that I wasn’t allowed to play it and I I kinda stuck with that until now. Wish I changed that earlier😔

I love Ed Boon and the guys that made Mortal Kombat. They really care about there fans and respect the fans reception. I remember when Deception fist came out and all i had was a GameCube and i really wanted the game. So i wrote a letter to the guys at Mortal Kombat and they wrote me back saying they were gonna put the game on GameCube. And the next day it was out. You guys rule hope you keep up the good work(:

@RalosZek i don't know if you realized but this video was released 21 june 2010. they were merley showing you what the game is gonna be. they don't pay attention to small details like that for those are things they fix in the end before they release the game in a month or so.

I played MKX i played as Scorpion for few days and got Revenaut kitana, Revenaut jax, and Revenaut sub zero and emperor liu kang, and empress kitana

@LaReaper26 No the special meter allows u to do a breaker, enhance your special move and then the xray attack.

As a kid Ive been playing the old 2D game and Mk4 on the Pc eversince it came to consoles only Ive stoped playing Mk games... Im glad its going back to the 2D just like StreetFighter4 did... and it even brutal then ever... I love what they do, it defently a big step for the Mk.
