I'm so glad to hear you enjoyed this one! Many women have some struggles with Vishuddha Chakra, we're coming out of a long history of women not being able to express themselves freely, and there are still some residual traumas within the society. It's great to work on this energy, for and and for the world 💝 To support yourself with the feet up, you can put a pillow under your hips or even rest your feet up against the wall 🙏
Got up at 4am to do my practice as I missed yesterday class I know know I'm motivated it's all about showing up for yourself hey ..Will do today's class later 🤩🕉
For those who are new to the inverted pose, I found the easiest method was to really push my legs and hips into the pose. If you dont go far enough back, you will fall back down. It took several tries but I did finally get myself inverted for 15 seconds. Will keep practicing
I was busy all day painting and doing some work. It was 2am by the time I was done but I had to stay up and do this session. I am determined not to miss a single day 😂
Wow I've never felt so much sensation in my throat chakra before, so potent! I'll definitely have to include this in my regular routine. Thank you so much for sharing your guidance & wisdom! 🙏🏻🥰
thank you it has been a pleasure practicing with you.thank you for your beautiful effort, work and knowledge. Love and blessings to you and your family
Namasté! Yesterday with the heart chakra I too felt some tingling sensations in my troath and my jaws. Since my thyroid is asking for healing, todays class was a little challenging. I was familiair with the Lion's Breath, but it was interesting to say the least :) A lot got loosened up and started to flow again. Like the solar plexus this my be another class to repeat a several times. Thanks for sharing! Lots of Love and Sunshine.
Thank you Andrew for this great kundalini class I really enjoyed those one as well. All of them have been great so far I choose not to do them everyday cause I have shorter kundalini classes to do days in between these 30 min ones. I know 30 is still short for kundalini but I have been taking it easy on my body with doing this everyday plus physical work. But my spine and neck feel very straight and strong after this class and I feel focused ready for the day. Have a blessed day, Sat Nam.
That's wonderful to hear dear! I love that you are taking care of yourself and practicing in a way that works for you. It's less important how long your practice for, and more important how consistently you do it! Even just 5min is enough, so long as you can get on the mat every day 💝🙏
There is a great - and very long - spiritual story that my teacher told often. I will not share the full story with you now, but in the end, the lesson was that we should always make decisions from our hearts. We should use the mind, because it is a great tool. But the mind should work for the heart, not be the one in control 🙏💞
Thanks for that, Andrew! My kitten was looking at me wonderingly when i was doing the Lion breath :-D I’ll be visiting Thailand for two weeks on Thursday, spending a couple days in Bangkok. If you discovered less touristy places that you can recommend… please do :-) Namaste
Hey Jacob! That's awesome brother! Maybe we can meet up for a coffee while you're in the city. I can fill you in on all of our favorites ;) Send me an email, refeelyoga@gmail.com
Hey Deanna, I actually have a full 10 day program, "Rejuvenate Your Essence", where we focused on working with the throat, Vishuddha Chakra! I think you might really like it 🥰🙏 ➡ bit.ly/Rejuvenate10
Thank you so much Bro Andrew for the purifying practice! We are sometimes so careless about our words & using our voice for all the wrong reasons…this practice really brings our attention back to Vishudhi Chakra & belong mindful of our voice & words. Questions: The last pose which you called as Vipareet Karni, isn’t that also called as Sarang Asana or Shoulder stand? 🙏🏻👌🏻💪🏻😇
So true brother! Our speech is such a powerful tool! So much so that many monks take vows silence to avoid losing energy and/or saying anything that will create more karma. Viparita Karani is a different pose than Sarvangasana (the shoulderstand). In shoulderstand we want a straight line from our heels to our shoulders. In Viparita Karani we want a straight line from our heels to our elbows. We will practice Sarvangasana in a few days! Then you will see the difference 😇
Amazing, any tips or tricks on the shoulder movement exercise , I couldn’t find a rythme for the life of me!? I really feel my energy levels and teach morning is a delight to spend with you. That you friend
Ah this is a tricky one for many people! It is supposed to challenge you! You don't have much time to think about other things when you're trying so hard to coordinate the movement with the breath. You did good brother 👍
Thank you dear! In general, we don't want to feel back pain from this posture. I would recommend adjusting in a way that you find more relaxation in the pose and are not creating strain in the back. As for how to relieve that pain, I'm so sorry but this is not an area of Yoga that I am educated in 😅 Myself I would probably try to stretch it out in cobra pose, or with some twisting postures... but that might not be the correct thing to do.
I really enjoyed working with the throat chakra. 😃The lion's breath was an interesting experience. 😆The inverted pose pretty much reminded me about the shoulder stand, so what would you say is the difference between the two? Thank you and namaste. ❤🙏
I'm glad to hear you enjoyed working with Vishuddha today! The difference between the shoulder stand (Sarvangasana) and the inverted pose (Viparita Karani), is that in shoulder stand we are trying to form a straight line from our shoulders to our heels, whereas the inverted pose we're trying to form a straight line from our heels to our elbows, which are supporting our lower back. Essentially the torso is straight shoulder stand, and on a bit of an angle in the inverted pose.
The full 30 day program is included alongside all membership content at www.refeelyoga.com. Please note that a UA-cam membership and a membership on our website are separate. This program is not included under the UA-cam membership 🙏
Thanks so much Andrew ✨✨🏔 Lion's breath really relaxed my whole jaw and I felt a big expansion in my consciousness during the savasana at the end! Found this one very powerful. Would you recommend focusing on working with the chakras that feel the most energetically charged for us personally or to keep a balanced approach and work with all the chakras?
Especially for beginners, I would definitely recommend keeping a balance practice. Sometimes we feel attracted to the energy of a Chakra because we already have a lot of that energy. For example, people with a lot of Sexual energy or very social people, may naturally like practices that activate Svadhistana Chakra. But focusing too much on that can cause an excess of energy and lead to disfunction in the sexual energy, obsessive/aversion tendencies, too much fantasy in the mind, distraction, etc. Until you are very literate in the Chakra System and your own energy, always aim for a more balanced practice. AND if you would like to become more literate in the Chakra System, I would encourage you to check out our Journey Through the Chakras Program: refeelyoga.com/pages/online-courses
