Here in England we’ve only had 1 amateur world champion in the competition’s 50 year history, it’s one of the most coveted achievements in the sport of boxing. Add to that his Olympic Gold, Undisputed World Cruiserweight champion, IBF,WBO,WBA & Ring Mag heavyweight champion and Usyk’s resumé is off the charts.
Fury had 1 good night against a lacklustre Klitschko 10 years ago and the rest of his opponents have all been journeyman level. He’s not on Usyk’s level, not even close

I've been predicting exactly the same thing. I hear they've got Wembley booked already. It makes financial sense for all concerned. It also allows Usyk to fight his mandatory Hrgovic, ensuring that any rematch will still be for undisputed. Let's face it, the Saudi's aren't going to spend all that money unifying the belts just to have them broken up one fight later

As a journalist it’s incumbent upon you to provide the full story and not just provide the side that is convenient for you. There’s a strong viewpoint among followers of boxing that Fury has not done anywhere near enough to be considered along with the greats. Compared to the greats like Ali, Frazier, Lewis he just doesn’t stack up in terms of number of title defences. He’s also made it so hard to make the AJ fight with these ridiculous deadlines and it’s taken him so long to get into the ring with Usyk. He also failed to give Klitschko his contractual rematch. As well, he chose to defend his belts against Chisora for a pointless 3rd time and then Ngannou who had never boxed professionally before. Fury is an exceptional fighter and a win against Usyk is big for his legacy but he has a long way to go to be up with the greats

@@Severloh1944 He didn’t take Ngannou seriously, evident in the fact he came in at 278 pounds and had an undisputed heavyweight championship fight scheduled for two months after. Ngannou is also a much different fighter; far less superior boxer, but much stronger than Usyk. It will be much easier for usyk to bully in the clinch against Usyk than it was against Ngannou

Regarding Usyk’s shape:
I don’t think we ever have to mention how he’s looking or how he’s training or what weight he’ll be. Until he retires I think it’s a foregone conclusion that he will always be in shape, always training hard and will always step on the scale at the optimal weight to achieve his goals.
Anything different from usual (up or down in weight) or a different training routine will be a deliberate decision - I don’t think the media should be concerned with how prepared he is. He is!

Yeah, Fury was a huge underdog for good reason. He was famous for being uncoordinated and hitting himself in fights, being floored by a cruiserweight. Plus his best win up until that point (by quite a margin) was Chisora. If it weren't for UKAD and BBBofC colluding to conceal Fury's failed drug tests who knows his things would of turned out

Ive been a huge Fury fan over the years followed his whole career but im also honest and as a boxing fan hes nowhere near the greatest of all time! Hes not even the best british heavyweight ever,, hes not even the best heavyweight living in Morecombe till he beats Joe Parker!
