well i believe Fury to be the better boxer, but hes not the fighter he was, hes showing decline especially in his defence. he was schooling Uysk for parts of the fight and after 8 rds i had it 6-2 or at worse 5-3 to Fury. i think after rd 9 in the 2nd AJ fight it was very close, even tony bellew was out boxing him, but what i give to Usyk is his stamina, He seems to win all the rds from 9 onwards in all his fights as he has a unbelievable engine. when the other guys tire he seems to be able to up the pace.
@@SuperChalkster To say Fury is the better boxer couldn’t be more objectively wrong. If Fury was the better boxer there would be no contest because he has overwhelming height, reach and weight on his side. He’s got more superior tools than Usyk and he still lost.
I am British & this is the 1st time I wasn't upset to see our guy lose. Usyk deserves 👏🏻 all the respect & all the glory. Personally I thought the result was a draw but still congratulations Usyk 🎊 🥊
Oh well I give credit to Fury for training and losing weight for this fight. I know his heart was in the right place but if you are objective you will think Usyk clearly won.
Well done Usyk! Absolute boxing genius! It would be great if he continued to defend his mandatory for each belt before he retires. Although it's an amazing feat to be unified in 6 fights, he won 3 belts in one fight so it would add to his legacy to hold them under each sanctioning body.
When Usyk was catching those huge uppercuts, he wasn’t stupidly standing there to take more. He danced away and recovered. I’m telling you, he’s too TOUGH and too SMART to lose to Fury next time. He knows he can knock fury out now too. And he’s smart enough not to try it too early on in the fight. He’s WAY too smart for Fury. Fury met his match, that’s what happened.
Fury was as fit as he’s ever going to be in that fight and he was still flabby. Usyk did exactly what I thought he’d do; he forced Fury to work for every second of every round and ground him down. In any rematch Fury would likely be much heavier and likely to lose even more emphatically.
@@jimbyrne2328 I don’t even know when his prime was because he never had a run. He’s had great singular wins. That’s all. But a 35 year old Fury is definitely not in his prime. A 37 year old Usyk isn’t in his prime either but he’s still the best heavyweight of the era.
There’s no shame in it, Usyk is a phenomenal boxer. Fury obviously had his moments and won some rounds, but the better man won. As for that 9th round, Fury was being beaten from pillar to post for about 20 seconds without any retaliation, surely either the fight should get stopped or the ref lets it play out?
Eff the ref and the stray judge on the Usyk decision. The thinking fighter won. Usyk entered the ring with everything planned, with more plans to depend on than can be realised. Plan plan plan. Check Mate gypsy King. It’s chess with hurt. Usyk was hurt too but lasted. Hip hip Ukraine.
I saw that it was 7 - 5 to usyk. Although looking at the punch stats it seems that at least 3 of the rounds could have gone either way with on 1 punch between them in these rounds. Both fighters had their moments. Both fighters really showing their elite ability. I am excited to see the rematch. Thoughts anyone?
It’s over for Fury now. He’s not good enough to beat Usyk. Usyk is just too good for him. Too good for anybody. The rematch is pointless. Why would he want another loss on his record and want to ruin his legacy, he’s already super rich. I don’t see the rematch happening I think he either fights Joshua or walks away. Usyk is keeping those belts now. Phenomenal fighter.
I swear if you listened to Froch without knowing anything about his career, you'd be forgiven thinking he was a unbeaten legend that never took a count or got dropped. His so called "Chin" was tested and dropped heavy on more than 1 occasion. Oliver McCall fought professionally the who's who of boxing as well as sparred Mike Tyson and many others and wasn't hurt once or close to being dropped from any heavyweight. Carl Froch needs to stop hating and p***ing on greats of today. He cried when Groves gave him no credit and now he's making a living from it!
No matter what Fury did against Usyk. From the beginning it was clear Usyk is the much more aggressive guy. Higher box IQ, smarter, quicker, more dangerous, etc. A total masterclass to lecture little brain Fury. He was hunted by Usyk from minute one until the last round.
@@PorschaTaylor-tc4gxWhat are on on about? Fury was saved from a brutal knockout by the referee. That was a good fight but it was not close. The "middle weight" brutalised Fury.
John fury as got to be the biggest fool I've come across in 67 years . Talks crap about his boxing career. Then says his son is unbeatable, which we know now he's far from that.

Bizarrely, the more Froch says, the more I agree with him. Great knowledge of the sport, and aside from being a bit verbose at times, articulates his points very well.
Sure, you can argue that. You can also argue that Usyk shouldn't have the belts he does after going down beyond a count for a low blow against Dubois, that it turns out was entirely legal.
I thought it was one of fury’s best ever performances. Before Uysk he’s beat lower level trees this was a step up and he competed even tho beaten conclusively imo

well i believe Fury to be the better boxer, but hes not the fighter he was, hes showing decline especially in his defence. he was schooling Uysk for parts of the fight and after 8 rds i had it 6-2 or at worse 5-3 to Fury. i think after rd 9 in the 2nd AJ fight it was very close, even tony bellew was out boxing him, but what i give to Usyk is his stamina, He seems to win all the rds from 9 onwards in all his fights as he has a unbelievable engine. when the other guys tire he seems to be able to up the pace.
Facts 😂😂
@@SuperChalkster To say Fury is the better boxer couldn’t be more objectively wrong. If Fury was the better boxer there would be no contest because he has overwhelming height, reach and weight on his side. He’s got more superior tools than Usyk and he still lost.
For the first time I my life I wanted a Brit to lose. Usyk, class in and out of the ring. Fury and his family, dossers!!
Fury was rattled once he realised the mind games wouldn't work with usyk
Never seen Jordan not interrupt before ; maybe because he's feeling sheepish after his dreadful arselicking and prediction of the fight
good ol' Frochy, lot of time for him these days
I am British & this is the 1st time I wasn't upset to see our guy lose. Usyk deserves 👏🏻 all the respect & all the glory. Personally I thought the result was a draw but still congratulations Usyk 🎊 🥊
Oh well I give credit to Fury for training and losing weight for this fight. I know his heart was in the right place but if you are objective you will think Usyk clearly won.
Fury is ethnically Irish
@@tomrooney3223 You talk from you back side!
@tomrooney3223 He definitely isn't Irish maybe you are Irish with a comment like that.

Well done Usyk! Absolute boxing genius!
It would be great if he continued to defend his mandatory for each belt before he retires. Although it's an amazing feat to be unified in 6 fights, he won 3 belts in one fight so it would add to his legacy to hold them under each sanctioning body.
wtf was John fury up to in that corner was a terrible watch I hope sugar hill walks away
Was he in the corner lol no way 🙈
I don't see the point of having him in the corner its undermining sugar I don't think it impacted the fight but it's a strange one
Agreed Fury ( John) was say to Tyson ‘you got this you this ie don’t go for the kill ‘ whereas Sugar was saying beat him up

Great listen. Carl talks the talk
Where's big John warrior fighting man?
💯% facts from FROCH as always LEGEND
BTW Usyk is a big puncher when he wants to, also the jab is real fast and powerful.
Fury and his cronies are not well liked in the UK. Due to their boorish uncouth behaviour. We were all rooting for Usyk! 🙌🇬🇧
i certainly was - great to see a class act like usyk.
Not too many left in the world, these days.

“Prime Fury beats Usyk, a good big man beats a good little man” 🤓
When was Fury's Prime? He is only 35, Usyk is 37.@AIex3199
@@jimbyrne2328 I don’t even know when his prime was because he never had a run. He’s had great singular wins. That’s all. But a 35 year old Fury is definitely not in his prime. A 37 year old Usyk isn’t in his prime either but he’s still the best heavyweight of the era.
@AIex3199 How do you know if Fury beats Usyk in his Prime then?
@@jimbyrne2328 I had it quotation marks as if to imply that’s what Simon Jordan is still gonna say cos he’s a Fury fanboy.
I don’t believe the quote.
Simom looks like a shell of himself 😂
Thought that was James Hunt from 1993
There’s no shame in it, Usyk is a phenomenal boxer. Fury obviously had his moments and won some rounds, but the better man won. As for that 9th round, Fury was being beaten from pillar to post for about 20 seconds without any retaliation, surely either the fight should get stopped or the ref lets it play out?
Yar, just watch the Norton Cooney fight. Should've let him get knocked out and then stopped it.
The ref would be crucified if he stopped it. Not sure why people don't understand this.
Froch is one of the best out there for the clarity of what he says and the insight he brings. Really enjoyed this
5:00 Why "wow" Jim? Do you disagree that Usyks now number 1?
Froch clearly hates John Fury which is hilarious. JF is a prat to the max.
Outstanding observations from Carl, I really enjoyed this debate. Carl is a legend and usually always right.
It’s exactly the same with Froch he was always number 2 to Andre Ward
The cobra was a real champion with class and honour
Thoughts anyone?
i agree. it was closer than people wanna believe it to be
Nice to hear someone give credit to both boxers.
It was very close fight 12 punches in it between them with 9 of those coming in the 9th round from usyk rematch needs to happen cant wait
I hope usyk retires and closes the "lineal champion" chapter that he just created by winning undisputed
@@gorilliami doubt he will retire he wont want to pay fury the 18 million to break the contract
Froch says Uysk is now 37 yrs old, by October when the rematch happens Uysk will be about 40 yrs old.
Never seen Simon so quiet 🤫
He's been made totally humbled
No matter what Fury did against Usyk. From the beginning it was clear Usyk is the much more aggressive guy. Higher box IQ, smarter, quicker, more dangerous, etc. A total masterclass to lecture little brain Fury. He was hunted by Usyk from minute one until the last round.
He would not leave him alone

Good analysis from Froch
The circus is over finally
Bizarrely, the more Froch says, the more I agree with him. Great knowledge of the sport, and aside from being a bit verbose at times, articulates his points very well.
Jordan reminding Carl he lost to Ward Kessler cracked me up
Sure, you can argue that. You can also argue that Usyk shouldn't have the belts he does after going down beyond a count for a low blow against Dubois, that it turns out was entirely legal.
Simon said alot of rubbish when AJ lost to usyk but now is beloved fury lost and he can not talk, fury should be man enough to fight Aj
John fury cost his son that fight. His ego to stand on the side and ruin it was umbelieveable
Froch is a great character, brilliant to listen to and very funny 😂
