Oh man what a gift! This has some of my now-favourite tracks and synth artists. That Dynatron - Intergalactic highway takes me to the freakin stars everytime! Thank you very much, I'm glad you enjoyed it! Intergalactic Highway was one of the first Synthwave tracks I heard and I immediately fell in love with it. It's such a classic.
I understand. The original mix is damn good, and I've actually used it to set the tone whenever I talk about BattleTech. It perfectly encapsulates what I believe to be the feel of the universe. 80s, but in the future and in space.
Speaking of Solaris, my Solaris VII mix is also of similar vintage to the original Canopus and might find itself getting a remastered version in time for the new MW5 DLC
I disagree, while multiple innersphere nations collapse and crumble the Magistracy has been slowly rebuilding from what the SLDF did to it and growing. It is a place were those interested in biomedical research and cybernetic augmentation can get government grants instead of being hunted as some other governments do.

The original is probably my most re-listened mix. Meanwhile: been getting more familiarized with the Battletech lore through the "SCIENCE INSANITY" channel.
Highly recommend the Black Pants Legion and their Tex Talks Battletech series. The later entries get loooooong, but there's a reason Tex has an official, canonical scholar character in battletech.
*Follow up to my post from the original mix* Earlier that same day... Greetings, MechWarriors. Welcome to Canopus. I hope the journey from Galatea was smooth and uneventful. Now, we have some business to discuss. As you know, we here in Blake's Blessed Order, ComStar, have a mission of preserving knowledge of technology and facilitating interstellar communication. But we also have a duty to press our boundaries ever forward with the section I work for: The Explorer Corps. And unfortunately, sometimes that means we have to go to regions unknown in search of potentially hostile aggressors. It is one such aggressor we have been asked by the Magistracy to help find. On several of their Deep Periphery facing worlds, the Magistracy has suffered pirate raids. The raiders land with Mechs, well trained infantry, and combat vees. Their plunder, the populace itself. We have reason to believe that these good for nothing pirates live beyond the known Periphery nearby and that is why we have contracted the four of you. By Blake's Will, we shall assist the Magistracy in hunting down these raiders and give the information to the Magistracy so that they can be put out of their misery. I know this is a serious mission, and it will require a lot of training and preparation which will be done on a Magistracy base not far from the city of Crimson. We expect you will enjoy all the Magistracy has to offer for entertainment during your off time, but please do so with moderation. You are dismissed for now. *music slowly starts to fade in as the scene fades to black*
