Ken Hunt draws it out on paper here with a micro pen … .05 .. The tool he used to engrave is an engravers tool by hand ,a piece of wood with a carbide shank ,sharpened to a 90 degree .. there is a video here of the tool he used
This is when men were men, no excuses. You heard him one light bulb, hand push, ect,.... Meanwhile my microscope fogs up and cying like a little sissy complaining about my $700 chair and my carbide tip not lasting 8 hours of engraving lol. Thank you very much for this video.
Ken C Hunt is a national treasure.
Indeed he is
Fantastic.
love the practice plates. I started my apprenticeship in 1976 in Germany. Much has changed since.
It sure has … If things were like they are today back then no telling what engravers could do … can you imagine ? WOW
Beautiful work a true master ❤
Indeed
the constrast in those backgrounds are unreal, did he used to ink his practice plates back in the day?
Can you tell me what this tool is and how or where I can learn to use it came along with a scm 400k rotary tool
