    Mam, I think you should have first plotted the asymptotes and then proceeded on plotting the root locus, because that would have helped in giving a sense of direction the locus would take, as it moves after the breakaway point.

    Step 4 : 3x²+10x+6 after solving I got s= -0.589 and s= -1.911 how did u solve to get s=-0.784 and s= -2.549 I solved by quadratic method . Plz tell me
