How To Max Difficulty Oblivion

- A guide on completing the main quest line in The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion on the Highest difficulty setting at level 1.
This means no extra health, stamina or magicka from level ups and enemies will do 6x normal damage to the player and the player dishes out 1/6th normal damage to enemies .
Complete with the most up to date version of Oblivion with no mods installed.
Due to Oblivion's levelling mechanics, Levelling skills not taken as a major skill at the start of the game will not raise you in level. Enemies scale with your level so keeping the game locked at level 1 is an effective way to play on the highest difficulty setting.
Summons and followers are not affected by the difficulty setting, they will do the same damage on the lowest setting as they do on the highest.

I've been trying to get someone to do a basic, no armor or added weapons or parts Automatron companion only challenge in Fallout 4 for a while. ;w;
It's the basic Automatron you build when you build a new Automatron at the Robot Workbench... and no... I won't ask that you do a pacifist run up until you get the Automatron. lol
Bonus points? Use the mod "More Robot Voices for Automatrons" to give the Automatron a Protectron voiceset since it *is* a naked Protectron with no lasers. lol

Let me know if you want more ideas for this build or others. I'm pretty well-versed in Fallout 4 and Skyrim.
This video also gave me the idea (or refreshed my memory anyway) of a follower-only build for Oblivion, and I know of other followers you can get to follow you permanently. The guy who owns the haunted house in Anvil, and I've seen Bacon_ use a Knight of the Nine as well.

i first played skyrim with a breton for the first time, recently i bought oblivion, and the lore its just much according to a hero, i prefer oblivion, dovahkiin is just to bad person, a vampire, a racist, he slays his master and join a guild of thieves! although ive loved oblivions dynamics for divines and chapels, and magic, and the arcane universty, its just better than skyrim, only need a graphics pack to my game and it would be perfect

Oblivion's leveling system makes this game ultra hard on max level while game is set on easiest than the hardest difficulty at Lv1 though.
I made the mistake and tried to retake Kvatch with Level 20... even the guards got whooped
@@Adem9458 You need to monitor your levelling like under a microscope to min max everything, especially Endurance. Without levelling Endurance, you have nothing to do on high levels since you will just keep dying.

Does the spell Fortify Health ring any bell for you?
I was level 99 when I started the main questline but my spells were nicely well crafted so it was still easy.
@Lagarto Branco weakness spells stack infinitely so magic will deal as much as I want and using a spell that gives 100% protection to cap out your armor rating along with a regeneration spell with a magnitude of 100 for 30secs on self and using 100% magic resistance spell and 1000+ willpower to cast indefinitely (600 is the minimum for easy casting) and paralysis spells.
I really like this new style!! The inspiration from ymfah is clearly there, but you definitely give it your own unique spin :)

Really happy you're doing something a bit different. I know its hard to edit down Oblivions monumental amount of dialogue into something entertaining but you did a fantastic job! I really like this style of video where you finish a game with an OP build or with a challenge. There are many people that do it (Ymfah, Goose, Mittensquad) but they do it in such a cool and unique way and you are no exception. You have your own style to these videos and it’s so good I love it

When I play Oblivion on max difficulty, I never use the Apprentice Birthsign... It is probably better to use the Mage's Birthsign, as it is not lowering your resistance to magic.
Here is a list of spells you can use:
1. Lower health 100 pts + Weakness to Magic 2 sec on target (custom spell). Kills 95% of all enemies with 2-3 shots. The order of the effects MUST be as mentioned. You can also add the soul trap effect for 1 sec on target applied before the weakness to magic effect.
2. Heal self - 15 pts for 2 seconds.
3. Summon Storm Atronach for 20 sec + Invisibility for 20 sec on self. The Storm Atronach can kill even Mancar Camoran with 3 hits and the invisibility spell makes sure you stay safe. Try not to stand in the Atronach"s way, when it casts the lightning strike spell or you might get killed :) Also extremely useful on the Arena, as your enemies do not even attack the Atronach!
4. Deathly Visage spell bought from M'raaj-Dar
in the Dark Brotherhood. Extremely useful spell, especially if you want to rush for sigil stones without killing everyone in oblivion.
5. Beast of Burden or Daylight spells. I love them both, because they last for 6 and 8 minutes respectively (you cannot create custom spells that last for more then 2 minutes, which is why I prefer these spells).

If you go through the oblivion gate at the beginning of the game and save outside the sigil stone you can reload the save until it's got a shell enchantment. If you duplicate it you can put it on a full set of armor and have 115% shell making you invincible....
It caps at 85 no matter how many you do.

YES!!! New video! HOLY S&%#! Beat the main quest on Lvl.1 Legendary, BADASS! I SO got to try this on my next Oblivion playthrough! GENIUS! Something great and new for Oblivion! I didn't know you can grab all that stuff from the Mages Guild chapters to sell, I didn't think doing that was worth it! Brilliant, the brothers and Erthor as followers until you take them back! WOW! I didn't know you can give the sword back to Vile at level 1 without starting the quest at level 20, and still get the Masque! And the use of Invisibility and your sweet dino summons to make it through parts that would get you destroyed! You are incredible, keep it up, and more Oblivion stuff please! No one does that, not like you do! Cannot wait till the next one!

Actually, for the longest time I didn’t know how to level up in that game, so it wasn’t so much willingly, just ignorance.
I know it’s already too late, but if you want to speed up your spell-casting training, block while casting. The block animation skips some of the frames of the full casting animation, and you don’t need to worry about the block slowing you down because when it skip casting animations, it won’t slow you down while casting a spell, since the animation for holding up your shield is so short!

Great video, awesome that you do Oblivion now. One thing though, why was there no leveling up icon ?
He said at the beginning that you should choose perks and areas of magic that you wont use to insure you stay at lvl 1. In Skyrim, you lvl no matter what youre using, but in Oblivion you can customize it. This vid is actually a prime example of how broken the leveling system is in this game lol

I would love to see some more oblivion videos. I imagine there's a lot more unique builds what with all the skills they removed for Skyrim (Acrobat is my favorite). Morrowind and Daggerfall would be cool too.
I am currently making a sheogorath build using this method. I will have puppy, but I will also have plenty of spells to make people kill each other. I'll be level 2 because I want that Wabbajack. Invisibility will be absolutely essential as well. Thankyou.
