Really great tutorial! I think if you include the words wire wrapping in your titles, you'll get a lot more views - I always use those words when I'm looking for tutorials. Thanks for sharing!!
I just read that you put the groove in the stone yourself. If you made a video on that it maybe helpful to many. Thanks again for sharing your beautiful work .😊
Thank you so much for your kind words! This technique it's not of my creation, I just share a LATAM technique that I learned when I was starting in wire wrapping more than 10 years ago in Nicaragua. I still use it today. I am glad that it's also useful to you! 🙌🙏🤗🌒☀️🌘
Can't wait to try this. I don't have any of the stones you used. So I'll have to look for them. But if I have a round cabochon, I figure out how to make it work. Thank you.
You can do the groove yourself using a Dremel and dipping the stone in water 💦 every 3 or 4 seconds of drilling. This is what I do with bon LATAM stones like labradorite or others that I buy in India. I am glad that it's useful for you! Sending hugs up north from the Caribbean sea! 🤗🙏🌒☀️🌘
@@solanticx I wish I could share a picture here. I had an oval tiger Eye stone. Once I got the technique down from your video and was able to make the starburst (took me a couple tries) I made a base/ bail that the stone could sit on. Then I took another base wire & the Starburst and used a 3/3 weave and connected then all together. Starting at thy bottom where the stone would sit and making my way around each side to the top. I then weaved in what they call 'crown' wire to the center base wire. That was able to hold the stone in. Then I finished off any wires or used then as decoration. I work about 6 hours straight on this. I swear my eyes were crossed when I was done. I have one more tiger eye cab. Thinking about making another one. I can't thank you enough for this tutorial.
That is a gorgeous piece of jewelry ! I love to try this design but I don't know where to find those stones. Do you have any information on where to find them ? Thank you so much for sharing this design with us !😊😍💖
In LATAM it's very easy as most of stone carvers do it. In other places I am not that sure. You can do your groove as you say in your other comment, the short is uploaded. It's a carving of a labradorite. It is important to leave both sides of the groove at the same lvl. First I would flatten all the part around the stone and then I'll do the groove. I forgot it on the short. 😓👍🌒☀️🌘
I have seen others that work with wire suggesting to wrap a heavy piece of tape on the plier's teeth, so it won't leave marks on the wire. Do you think that it looks more rustic with the marks. I'm a newbie; so I am asking your opinion. Also, I noticed that you make more necklace videos than earrings. Is that because you sell more of them? Thank you for your time in making the videos.
I think that the idea of the tape is great. What I suggest is to fule the teeth until they do not mark the piece but still have the better grip. I just use them on pieces that I know that I will hammer it, like the spirals. I have to file my pliers, but I always procrastinate. I will maybe make a video filing my toothed flat pliers as a perfect excuse to overcome procrastinating. Thank you very much for your constructive comment! 🤗🤙🙌
BTW Next video (it's done, just needs editing) will be the making of earrings using just a gemstone instead of a grooved stone. I hope that you will find it useful too! 🙌
I think you would get a lot more views if you would tell us what gauge why are you using and tell us exactly how you do what you're doing you can do it so fast I can't follow it after the first to second line
Thanks for your suggestion, I will try to introduce more information at some point. Think that I can't put much time on my videos as my main work is as a jeweler, and this videos are just something I do on the little spare time I get. I will continue to upload them without voice for a while, please be patient while I find time and courage to start speaking on camera. Normally I will add relevant information such as gauges on the description of the video or in the comments if someone asks. Thanks again and good luck with your wrapping! 🙌🤗🌒☀️🌘

Thank you very much for the tip! I will try to add wire wrapping in the titles! Thanks a lot! 🙌🤗🌒☀️🌘
I agree. I always use the words wire wrapping. Maybe also mention the gauge of wire you use. You did a beautiful job. Can't wait to give this a try.
This so badass! Thanks for showing such a beautifully efficient way to do this weave without having to weave on multiple wires! Wow. 🕯️🙏💗
I am very pleased that you like it! Remember that you need a grooved stone though! 🙌🤗😝🌒☀️🌘
With this beautiful work you got a new subscriber. Beautiful ! Thank you!
