  • I'm in no way affiliated with AF, just an honest experience from me to you.
*Also I made a mistake on the price, it came to $52.00 CAD after conversion and shipping. Still a better deal than anything I can get locally*

Hello! Thought I'd put my two sense in on my brand! ;) first off, thanks so much for taking the time to try it and make a video. Did want to say our dye has not been diluted with conditioner. It's simply a pastel shade, meaning differ not dyes are used :) I think your hair had much left over color in there to effectively use pastel shades, it won't really cover muddy shades being that they are pastels. Definitely try again with a platinum base! Xo

      *different dyes (dang auto correct!)

I know it's not diluted! Was just comparing the consistency :) and I totally agree, my hair is the issue here, not your dye. It did leave a slight shade of purple.

I work with these colors all the time, and I just got to try out the new pastels. I think if you were starting from a pure blonde vs. a silver you would've gotten a better outcome. Or if you used a toner to get that base color that might've affected it also, and as you mentioned, the porosity of your hair can also affect the dye from grabbing on to it. Typically when someone has trouble with pastel shades it's due to the porosity of the hair. I work with all kinds of professional lines, and I truly love Arctic Fox! It doesn't bleed or stain, it stays well in the hair and for a longer period of time. I would suggest to get their darker shades of purple and blue and use their specific "Arctic Mist" diluter (it's important that use a color lines diluter or clear to mix with the color), it's amazing and extra conditioning, and that will give you the ability to control the pigmentation of the dye. Hope that helped!

I actually love how it turned out! It may not be what you wanted but it’s a beautiful pastel & silver boliage (totally spelling that wrong 😅)

I'm not sure how you do your hair, but if you mix color with diluter/onditioner you need to be careful to not treat it too harshly. For example, brush it on your hair instead of rubbing it all over with your fingers. When you rub it, it breaks down the color molecules and creates patchy areas/non stick color

You really need to have extrem light blonde hair for these 2 colors to come out as they should. I am myself on this journey its either one more bleaching or toning to get rid of my gold blonde which will not be covered by either color. You can home bleach your hair like with Loreal Colorista. bleach, just if your final result is nor straight achievable you have to give your hair time to recover like 4 weeks. Its almost impossible for years i was dark chocolate brown with golden highlights and now it will be purple. I’m really looking forward to the change. But you should probably ask yourself if purple/lavender is the right color for you bc of course its a symbol for something about yourself.,,,.i don’t think i need to share what it is 💜

Have you tried adding a bit of dye in your conditioner, so you can refresh the dye as you shower??

mandrakethecat I'm dying my hair with these and I was thinking since these are conditioned based couldn't you just use it as a leave in once month for touch ups?

I diluted one n only neon blue with cheap conditioner cause it was a white base it turned into a spotty mess bc the cheap conditioners contain silicone which stops it from penetrating the hair. Try using a better conditioner?

How long did you leave it in? I usually sit with it on my head for like 8 hours, and it sticks pretty well, but if I keep it for an hour, my hair doesn't absorb it.

I got the periwinkle and did not like it. I have used all kinds of artistic fox colors and love them just not into this one.

There's no Hot Topic anywhere close to where I live. I think there's only two in Canada and they're in different provinces.
