While playing uncharted 4, the coolest thing happened to me. I was playing a stealth sequence, and I had a lot of grenades, and so I figured I could wait for groups of enemies to go near each other, then throw grenades to take out groups at a time. I threw a grenade which alerted the enemies. The leader then says "You can't hide forever." He then says to the other guards "keep searching, don't bunch up". It was as if the character realized my strategy and created a counter for it by not letting multiple people get too close. Good job Naughty Dog, that was a pretty cool interaction.
that reminds me of Batman Arkham Knight, when during the stealth sections, i don't know if you've played it but you have to take the armed militia out one at a time by going behind them and initiating a silent takedown. But if you get spotted and escape, the Arkham Knight will open comms with the militia that's left and tell them to "pair up", so you can't do the silent takedown on them because they'll spot you coming. Which i also thought was pretty cool.
Having played this part of the game, I can confidently say this is absolutely the most amazing interactive action sequence ever in a video game. Nothing can describe the adrenaline rush you'll feel playing this amazing chase scene in the game.
The ending with Elena.... thats basically me and my girlfriends' reaction when she discovers I bought a PS4 just for this game when we should be saving for moving out!
+Icaraeus Ports/remakes of the same game shouldn't count IMO. Because if that's the case, let's just add Nathan Drake Collection (2015) to the mix and call it a 1-year cycle instead.
Who said anything about development? OP talked about launching games. Now that I think about it though, they don't really follow release cycles, considering that 4 was originally slated to release in 2015.

+Tyler Williamson well, if you consider that they are basically aiming at selling a million copies (or several) , its not so amazing. after all.. original painting might sell for millions (and that's usually paining from a master that's been dead for centuries and will never pain another one) while that same paining in print form will sell for $20. why? becasue copies of a painting, just like copies of a video-game - can be infinitely reproduced and only creating the original is a huge investment. replicating copies is faster. and becasue cost of making copies is negligible? they definitely make profit of these games, and then some - even down the road when prices drop because game was out for a while.
EsechavaHD dude i have played uncahrted like twice. i have an xbox and only played the games at a buddys house. I am just talking about how technically amazing it is that they can pull of the visuals and performance on a console. It looks better then most games maxed out on PC. I dont know if this game will be fun or have a good story or anything. But just on a technical standpoint this is extremely impressive.
TheStealthPrince They are working on making multiplayer 60fps since the story mode will sit at 30 which is fine! cant knock them for that. Multiplayer is where you want the fastest cleanest pvp pace anyway so im not mad at them. I haven't been so excited for a game like this for a while. This and fallout 4 will take up all of my next 12 to 18 months of my life.

I am currently playing new Tomb Raider. I gotta say.. it is very good. I played the last one, because it was on playstation as well, and was forced to get this one on my PC. It is very intense. very amazing game. HOwever, nothing will beat my love for Uncharted.

Firefoxan The engine may be the same code but it has evolved since they started working on it in the same way that the U2 engine was a major evolution of the U1 engine and the TLOU used an enhanced version of the same engine from the Uncharted games. The last time around they did create an engine that was more flexible to changes in hardware without the need to start from scratch but the U4 engine remains a newer version of their engine.

The devs have said that this is one of the most action packed sequences in the whole game, so everything is much more toned down. I remember watching this all year before I got this game for Christmas. This one clip of gameplay is what sold me on buying this incredible game. And playing it for real was even better.

Tommy Law In terms of quality, Bloodborne The Witcher and Arkham Knight, and quite a few others like Smash Bros 4, have already kickstarted the train of even greater games to come. I'd be extremely disappointed in this gen if the quality games started in 2016 with the release of Uncharted 4, almost three years since the PS4 and Xbox One released..

I am currently playing new Tomb Raider. I gotta say.. it is very good. I played the last one, because it was on playstation as well, and was forced to get this one on my PC. It is very intense. very amazing game. HOwever, nothing will beat my love for Uncharted.

Firefoxan The engine may be the same code but it has evolved since they started working on it in the same way that the U2 engine was a major evolution of the U1 engine and the TLOU used an enhanced version of the same engine from the Uncharted games. The last time around they did create an engine that was more flexible to changes in hardware without the need to start from scratch but the U4 engine remains a newer version of their engine.
Definitely a new engine recreated from the ground up for PS4.

A great game for sure, but I doubt that it will be a contender for best game ever. The devs have said that this is one of the most action packed sequences in the whole game, so everything is much more toned down. Not saying that toning it down is a bad thing, because if the whole game was like this it would become exhausting.
