I know this is an older vid, but I picked some bullflats up from you guys recently. This video is very helpful in presenting rigging ideas/options - one correction on the weights of the plastics stated in the video though. The 4.8 = 1oz The 5.8 = 1.75oz Confirmed these with kitchen scale - you’ll want a full scale swimbait rod to throw the 5.8” size IMO.
My delivery just came in today. I got every size all in bluegill colors. Went through a pack last weekend. 3.8 killed it. The Levante is pretty badass as well!
Your gonna love those, they're addicting. I'm a 185 nut, and just got into the 262's about a month ago. The I slides are incredible and get bit if ya put em in the right places!
I was hoping to keep this bait quiet for a little longer. I like the 5.8 with a 9/0 Trokar Kelp Trick hook. I also use the Bellows Gill but it fishes different and I like a weight with a Jungle hook.
@@efrainsandoval6480 I’ve never fished actual kelp before but the Kelp hook keeps it in place when I skip it better than anything else I have found. It’s a great dock bait.
I watched this 3 times, got my 5.8 in the bento box. going to have to try it out! even watched the 2nd posting lol. also love the salty mach sonic and got a 16" and 19" rainbow yesterday trolling 20ish feet on the rim lakes! a new favorite blade bait! had to buy 6 more! lost the one I had!
Been throwing a giant swim jig up in jersey and caught 5 five pounders I consider my self a jig man because I put most my time into them gave a great day just ordered a pack
Hi ! Love the break down videos watched this video a Bunch of time ! ! Just one thing l'd like to see is the setups broken down as well in this case for the 4.8" and 5.8" . Just not sure if my bait casting setup a 7' MH 3/8-1 fast tip with a Abu Royal Express 1 6.3:1 is enough to throw the 5.8" , though it should be enough for the 4.8" ?
I fish it weightless like Kenta showed. And fish it like cracking a tube…. It works! It is slow so I only hit high percentage areas. BTW it takes dye really well so if you can’t find the color want you can make any color black or GP.
Do you nose hook or Texas rig the 3 inch when drop shotting it? Also what color would you say gets bit the best? Thanks for this amazing video!! I’m ready for you & Jefe to do an hour long swimbait video…tackle, rods, baits, line, Orion, everything!!
That's So Crazy!!! It's Now a Couple of Months after I cast 2023, and Guess What? Or Should I say Guess Who's prophetic??? So sad,at the same time, for Small Business Owners. The Legendary Fishermen that are plugging them, and introducing the Berkeley Mad Scientists who invented them...are making me Cringe whenever I see them on UA-cam!!!
Would like to see someone design a floater based on the flying squirrel With a thin wing membrane between the body and the extended arm This motion that allows the squirrel to glide thru the air by wind current would allow the bait to glide slowly towards the bottom following the free weight and have enough separation not to spook the fish - A bat wing model would also work well-

Awesome! Thank you for your business! Glad you’re catching them! 🍻
Awesome video guys! Always look forward to your videos.
I appreciate the underwater clips so much. This is the best tackle channel hands down. This answered all my questions.
Awesome man! Thank you for watching! 👊🍻
Love the 3.8 for free rig and the 2” for bfs free rig I have caught countless bass on both and caught a 20lb flathead on the 3.8
My I slide 135's just arrived in the mail yesterday, thanks hook up tackle! 🤙🤙
Thank you for your business!
Bought 4 I slides 135's this week and last week I got 4 Silent killer 115's! Can't wait to use them next week! 🤙

Fish it in the kelp?

Well done FedEx just dropped those on the porch, I appreciate the videos, keep um coming
Thank you for watching!
Hello U.S brother.
Thank you very much for share your precious experience.
What do you think about "The bull flat is also good for weightless rig" ?

Great job can’t wait to try it👍
Bang up video as always!
So… I’ve noticed you guys aren’t pumping Geecrack bellows gills, any back story there?
Do you see any gee Crack in their store?
Ben, like I said a few weeks ago, ole beard looking good, grow her way out and see what comes about, not everyone wears it well, you will 🤟🏻👍🏻
👊🍻
Isn’t there a 2 inch? I really love the idea of using the small ones as a jig trailer! Thank you!
There is, it’s really tiny. And not available often
Can you guys do a breakdown on the cover scat? I’ve got some but can’t figure out how to fish it without the line twist.
Fish it like a jig
And yes, we can do that video!
@@thehookuptackle_usa alright thanks!

Love the content love the products!!! Just take my money lol 😂
Ok! 😜🍻
Will these be good for skipping?

Nose hook is probably the best way. Color just depends on the body of water. Green pumpkin and bluegill are great starting points!
We need some ryugi hooks to come back in stock. How about some hayabusa hooks?
Stay tuned for the Berkley Flatty coming to win iCast 2022.
lmao! It's sad but so true
Where's the evidence?
😂 that's good

Lol
Love you guys, not criticism but thing spring called hitch hikers
Can you do a rigging on the bull slide
Will the Owner weighted 6/0 work with the 5.8? Don't have anything bigger on hand and looking to use the bait this weekend.
yes 6/0 or 7/0 I believe
So how do the dolive gills rig up? Round side up or down? I thought it was flat side down- am I wrong?
Flat side is designed to be top - but use them however they work for you!
@@thehookuptackle_usa Thank you- tbh I was pretty impressed with them flat side down, very cool bait.
The 4.8” on a heavy carolina rig is killer 🔪
thanks for the feedback, I thought of that when watching it .

Can I ask what size Owner CPS you recommend to replace the spring keeper for he 4.8 size and Ryugi 5/0 Pierce hook?
I have been told that the medium size Owner CPS is the way to go.
Can I use the 5/0 Makisasu Weightes worm hook instead of the 6/0 Makisasu Magnum Weighted hook for the Bull Flat 4.8?
Sure. Weightless is a great way to go too.
I know this video is pretty old but how you guys rigging the 2”?
When fishing the free rig is this more of a drag or you guys hopping it?
Both. You need that lift and drop though!
Are Zoom products sold in Japan? If so do you think they're paying $10 per pack?
Zoom is very popular in Japan, and yes, about $8-10 a bag.
The 4.8 inch size will make a good chatterbait trailer
Surprised you didn't say free rig for the 3 inch bull flat
Could definitely be done! Too finesse for me
@@thehookuptackle_usa I was thinking on my BFS setup.
👍👍👍
I messed up and got a pack of 2 in size off eBay I don’t even know what to do with them…
Nose hook Dropshot!
Sell em to the guy who's asking for 2 inch further up in the comments...lol
I don't know who disliked this video but you need to go!
I don’t understand why you would promote a hook that tears out? Why make it a choice?
Deja Vu?
I though maybe it was so good we should post it twice?! 😜🍻
4/0 shaky Head hook
Round side down. Gah. I’ve been doing it wrong.
Kill it here in Ohio on the 4.8 grape color
That’s a cool color!
Ah I saw this before,to much orion boys
Can you ever have too much?! I screwed up the first posting so Geoff made me fix it. Thanks for watching! 🍻
@@thehookuptackle_usa I can never get to much of jdm and the hookup, problem is I placed a order after I watched the second time, cheers
Probably skips great
Seems very fluke like. I’ll give her a try
Unfortunately this is another fad. Just like the bellows gill. We will return to the weightless 6" senko.
