    1. 50 lbs syndrome - don't need to be very heavy to look your best, whatever looks better to you in the mirror

    4. soreness doesn't always mean your building muscle
    5. don't skip legs - increased testosterone = more muscle growth
    6. train to failure - if your not training hard enough you wont build muscle
    7. train for strength - 6-8 rep range
    8. beginner's focus on from
    9. don't only focus on chest and arms also focus on back, legs and shoulders
    10. have a friend to help each other through your journey

    13. warm up before your workout
    14. recover properly from workout
    15. make your own mass gainer shake
    16. stay consistent
    17. too many exercises - 2-4 exercises per muscle group
    18. do compound lifts - bench, deadlift, squat, overhead press
    19. ''people are looking at me.'' - unlikely that anyone actually cares and if you cant get over it go to a lowkey gym
    20. control the negative and don't do speed reps
    21. if you want to train abs, train them like any other muscle
    22. be patient - enjoy the journey
    23. if your skinny try to cut the cardio out for now
    24. variety - change things up beside your compound lifts

    Thats the only part i disagree with. You body wont magically start adapating to a certain stimilus and decide "oh hes been benching for too long lets stop growing" no it really doesn't care. As long as your increasing weight and reps on an exercise and giving it new stimilus its gonna keep growing.
    I know people who has only done the same 4 back exercises for years and has made amazing progress.

    I love the tip for beginners to focus on form, most people don’t think about the fact that lifting a weight with good form will add tension to the muscle just as much as adding weight would, you perfect the form and you can lift less weight for the same effect, and when you do get up to the heavy weight you will have a good foundation already and lower your risk of injury while still maximizing growth

    I’ve been doing a 5 day split for 2 weeks. Back on Monday, Chest on Tuesday, Legs on Wednesday, Shoulders on Thursday, & Arms on Saturday.
    I’ve seen a reply to someone comment in your brothers video that to primarily target strength, you should be doing 5 sets of 3-5 reps leaving a few left to failure (I assume to be 2-3) of 5 minute rest for heavy compound lifts & on my more isolated lifts, I do 12-15 reps to failure because I’ve seen on your brothers vid that it’s better to do 12-15 reps when starting for the nervous system then lower the weights as you progress. I also rest for 3 minutes on more isolated lifts.
    I start off by dynamic stretches, then on Tuesday & Thursday I do some rotator cuff workouts, then I do some plyometrics, then I go on to my weighted lifts, then I do muscular endurance workouts, then I do some isometric hold, then static stretches.
    What’s your thoughts on this workout split?

    7:10 from a scientific pov, training closer and closer to failure effectively causes more and more muscle damage, right? So this could be a good or a bad thing depending on your training split, for example if you train each muscle group 3x per week, going all the way to failure would be counter productive, as you are creating so much muscle damage by the time the muscle has fully repaired you’re already training again (without giving any time for growth). On the other hand, if you train each muscle group 1x per week, going to failure is essential, because your body has an entire week to repair all that damage and then ample time to build new muscle tissue. So I believe that’s why studies vary so much on this topic, because it really depends on the situation

    I love this, i remember how much i used to think i had depressionn, and of course I was proving it to myself the same way you do with every single belief you have, after learning english, and running into people such as andrew tate, and of course, mario and martin, i realised how dumb it is to believe that when you have work to do, amazing, now i wish my brother understood what i tell him instead of getting mad because what i say to him is to hard...

    For basketball it's complicated , in season you do your best to maintain your performance meanwhile in off-season you do hypertrophy the first month then absolute strenght all of that while bulking , when season begins you cut and try to stay lean .
    Also you should track calories I swear it's the biggest mistake ever , you should try to not cut or bulk 10% of calorie intake

    • @southpoor5716
      @southpoor5716 Рік тому +1

      It’s because of these morons online who are all like I’m 6’3 230 lb and bench 350 for reps.
      But I never see big guys in real life lifting more than 225-250 on bench or more than 3 plates on bench, and I rarely see guys bigger than 180 if lean. Also once someone is 240lb they usually don’t look attractive or athletic

    How important would you say the split is, like does it matter if you do PPL, UPPER/LOWER or which one. Also is going to the gym 3 days a week enough for good progress?

    • @zq8h208
      @zq8h208 Рік тому

    • @tjjones3283

      3 days full body is plenty and imo the most optimal for beginners as you should be focusing on compound movements the most
