- Our head blender Jeremy Reeves walks us through the process we use to make all our Crumble Cake pipe tobaccos, including fan-favorites like Pirate Kake, Briar Fox, and many more.
I absolutely love Cornell and Diehl products. Have yet to find one i don’t like. Seeing this process is really cool as well, thanks for sharing. I met Jeremy at my local pipe shop a few years back, and he was very kind and humble, bringing even more respect to the products he creates and they offer from their business!! 🤠🙏
Jeremy, love seeing the walk-through. I’m relatively new to the pleasures of smoking a pipe and find this all very interesting. To you and the team keep it up. Thanks,
I was wondering why I had a beard hair in my tabacoo lol. Just got the mocha, dark and smooth. You guys are the best thank you.
Nice to see the process of blending tobacco. Thank you 😊
I'm just smoking my first bowl of this right now; I love this stuff. C & D have a great number of great blends but this stuff is just fantastic.
Good work folks.
You have got the best job in the world thanks for the video
Beautiful tobacco. Thank you for the video and your blends!
Great job on the pressing lately guys. With the plugs and cakes keep it up
Fasinating to see the process.
Love Bow Legged Bear 🐻 real cool in seeing how its made
Good video. Thanks for look of what goes into it. I have enjoyed most of C&D blends. My favorite blender. Hope Yinz are well. Blessings from Gettysburg Pa
Caked tobacco is so charismatic.
Thanks so much for this video Jeremy.
C&D for life! Love your blends.
Hiya Jeremy! My name is Reeves, too! Haha! I’m a new pipe smoker. You have quickly become my hero of tobacco!! Thank you very much!! I can’t wait to try everything you guys have!!!! Budget permitting, of course! Retired punk rockers live humbly! Hahaha!
Have a beautiful day!! Damn this Autumn Evening is delicious!!
Sincerely, your new fan---Matt
Jeremy,
I have to say Cornell and Diehl are some of my favorites. I was never really interested in Redburn however now I am definitely interested. Thanks for sharing all this information. Keep em burning and blessings from Gettysburg Pa
You should give it a try. It’s PDG👍🏻
I got me some Pirate Kake, good stuff
Just don’t stop making Cooper! 👍🏼👍🏼
HAI FRIEND , IT'S AWESOME FOR EVER . THANK YOU .
I love all cornell and diehl tobacos!!! I smoked many of them and for me they are absolutely fantastic!!! Still havent found one i dont like!!! From argentina, claudio
Hola, que tan dificil es conseguir los Tabacos de C n D alla en Argentina hermano? a mi me gusta tomar Rosamonte con mi pipa. saludos !
Just bought a pound of Pirate Kake and it was fantastic.
One of the best things about C&D is that (from what I can tell) they don't treat the tobacco with chemicals to keep it moist. From my experience this is what usually gives me tongue bite.
They look delicious
Very interesting! Thanks for sharing!
I guess this is where i write that Oak Alley is mind-blowing good and i hope it never ever stops being produced! So sad that it's so hard to get C&D in europe
I really enjoy these crumble cakes from C&D. It really is so easy to break of a small chunk, and by the time you rub it out, you have enough for a full bowl. Redburn is a good one, but I just got my first tin of Oak Alley, and that one is really special, I think.
Luv ur baccy.. bring more tins of sunset harbor flake to Chicago this year!
Would be greatly appreciated
I luv crumble kake!
Nice video. My tin of Redburn was way lighter in color and bone dry. I will try another tin of it in the future.
Thanks for the video...👍
I like you guys showing the way to make it show more
Beard is looking good brotha! Thanks for the video love when you guys gives us an inside look! Gonna have to order some sounds so good!
That is so cool
WOW, cool video.
Jeremy your beard is godly i gotta say.
Great video
That sawdust looks delicious
awesome
No need for the beard net bro your hair adds to the notes of oak to the cake. 😎 great video
I bet the smells going on in shop are amazing.
Please sell Pirate kake and Star of the East in the UK. We all love it here
I've not smoked crumble before and am just used to the straight ribbon cuts, so is it just for more consistency of flavor in blends or does crumble add more that I am not quite understanding (and maybe I just need to finally test some out).
Do you sell the blend you sweep up off the floor at the end of each day?
This a good blend for beginners?
At 75 years of age and living in a small apartment, I want to convert my pipe tobacco Into
A cigarette rolling system. That way I can enjoy my tobacco without having a pipe to deal with. Something new to try before I get too old. My one question is, what's the ideal
Tobacco size cut to be rolled into the tube so it won't fall out on it's own. My pipes and my aged tobacco collection was stolen from me when we moved last July, so I'm reluctant to replace everything I lost. Bummer for me, much of that tobacco was over 8 years old. I'm looking for a chopper on Amazon currently, because spring is coming soon.
Where may I buy you tobaccos Sir? Looks delicious!
Very interesting, I never know so much work, compassion went into making your blends. I'm curious why do you guys seal the tobacco for a couple days after being pressed?
That's so the flavors of the tobacco "meld" , to get the taste he's looking for.
Jeremy, is it possible to buy some Union Square still in it's plug form?
like you said, grab it like a granola bar! Can you buy it as compressed like frame 3:10?
That tobacco makes me wanna eat or at least dip it like if it was an old plug from a Josey Wales film (that's a compliment, I guess).
What humidity u pressing at? 60%. Sounds lil dry
Buenísimo, pero muy alto el volumen de la música
Wonder when they put the casing on? When it's still in ribbon form or after it's pressed? Or are the whole leaves sprayed before they are even cut into ribbon?
Matthew Gabbard when he’s blending it all together on the big table I’d imagine thats when they case
That cake block he holds at the end is about $1200 worth of tobacco!
WE WANT MORE SUN BEAR!!!!!
Which type of chemicals or using to make this can you share with us I want to make this plz guide me brother
Yeayyyyyyyyyyy
Does it last longer in time? I mean, can I keep tobacco during 30 years with this method?
If vacuum packed it can last a lifetime
What is your sweetest VIRGINIA crumble cake?
Havent smoked in years but now I feel like a puff!😩
Itu tembakaunya 1 kardus berapa ya harganya ..? Sampai semarang indonesia
Apa saya bisa membelinya untuk pengiriman ke indonesia

IceJJFish - On The Floor
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
PIRATE KAKE
Just want to make sure you heard me. Thanks 😊
I want work there :D
Cray97w me too!!! Ha
That is exactly what I just said.
I smelled my phone screen at 4:07
cut out the back ground music i want to hear what you say
Great video in response to smokingpipeliners video :)
Smokingpipeliner is the most trusted source in the universe. Maybe the Russian bots have infiltrated C@D?
Is he pregnant?
Come now, its not polite to make insulting observations.(hee hee, lol).
Ps, just kidding Jeremy, my belly is grander but hay, who’s keeping track?
I wish they would spend more time on quality. The fact that to me at least every blend has to age for a year or more to even be good is getting a little old.
That is pretty much any tobacco anymore. It's common knowledge that you shouldn't attempt to smoke your tobacco for at least the first year after purchase. And fresh from the tin you need at least two to three months in a jar. Pretty much all tobaccos need a "cool down" period. The only exception to this later rule is bulks. But the first rule still applies.
The quality is there, all pipe tobacco needs some time.
With a touch of beard 😆
A nice smuggling tobacco
Can you make that annoying music louder I can still hear a little of the voice ?
Lmao yeah this was pretty bad. Luckily, they upped their production quality 1000% over the years with their current videos.
Music is too loud. I bet it smells amazing in there. Putting square pegs in round holes. :-)
drop the music hard of hearing thanks
New Kakes are total garbage, I miss the old firm kakes with courser cut.
Too many mold issues out of Cornell & Diehl over the years to trust any of their tobacco's anymore.
I'm convinced. I'll never buy a C&D tin dated after 2015.
why?
@@ant100984 This video makes it obvious. For me, nothing after the move, period.
Northern Bohemian is it his beard?
@@bigjohn75 Seriously? Sure, it's the beard. Whew.
Look at this video from before the move: ua-cam.com/video/h2P7St1pWDw/v-deo.html What's that guy next to the plastic barrels doing?
Look at this video, too, also before the move:
ua-cam.com/video/TsM3coirbPk/v-deo.html
What's that stuff under the shovels? What's that huge machine with the guilottine blades doing?
Now there, Velma, are a couple of clues for you. Let me know if you get to the unmasking. Or just head back to the malt shop and enjoy a couple pizzas.
Here's another clue, not on video. Jay Friedman has been principal trombonist of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra since 1963. Starting about that time, TEAC came out with a fantastic reel-to-reel tape recorder. So, applying the new C&D standard, the orchestra could have easily replaced him early on by just recording the trombone part and hitting 'play.' Right?
@@northernbohemian I think it's because CERN started the the large Hadron collider in 2008. What do you think?
Looks like cigarette tobacco pressed into a kake. Maybe you should toss a pack of zig zags in the tin for even easier preparation.
Its Daughters and Ryan tobacco.
Lol, omg so funny. Ahhhahaahahhaa
Im not so sure thats a fair assessment lol
Also GL Pease has several times actually attested to the quality of cigarette tobacco, so perhaps that is not a bad thing if it even is a fair assessment.
