I'm so glad I learned how to play this! It helps pass so much time, and can show so many people emotion... I've kept a room humming with nothing but my guitar with this song... everyone was silent. Not even looking at me haha
I heard this exact version on the radio in Tampa about 13 years ago. It changed my entire life. This was the first time I ever heard them, and I became the biggest C&C fan afterwards.
This is a great version of the song. Coheed should just release an album with just acoustic versions of the songs. They have done many of them and I am sure tons of people would buy it. =]
i just heard like 50 covers of a favor house and they all had bad guitars,or the singers were choking on balls and when i saw this i was like good god thank you for who uploaded this. Its such an awsome song
If I remember correctly, this was around the period of time when Claudio was having vocal problems, if not then it was soon after. For you haters out there, go hate somewhere else, you're not wanted here. Regardless, this is an amazing rendition of the song.
the words you scribbled on the walls the loss of friends, you didn't have i'll call you when the time is right are you in or are you out for them all to know the end of us all
how is a light in the glass not progressive? It has like 15 different parts. Its one of the most epic songs i have ever heard. How can you be a coheed fan and not love A Ligt in the Glass.
Coheed and Cambria should definately not be labeled as a prog band, but they surely have extremely progressive songs. IKSSE3, The Crowing, A Light In The Glass, The Willing Well Series are all very progressive songs. I love Coheed because they have these epic masterpieces like A light in the Glass, but can still wright a catchy mainstream single.
Can anyone here find me a tab for THIS version of this song? I mean the acoustic. I can ALMOST see which ones he's playing, but not quite. Not having any luck on google searches. Thanks guys!
This is kinda like the mass. recording at the comic store. Travis seems like his volume is too low and we're missing out on some acoustic-only parts. >=/
i feel like this acoustic version tells the story a lot better. as far as i understand, this is the part where "claudio" in the fictitious story is running from Wilheilm Ryan where A Favor House Atlantic is Ryan's headquarters
I love that they play acoustic versions of so many of their songs.

(': I'm a 15 year old girl and I'm the only person I know who listens to these guys, aside from my 21 year old sister
His voice is so amazing!!
we love bassist too!

I think people just dislike for the heck of it. Who wouldn't like this?!
its amazing how they can transform such an energetic song into something so calm and peaceful both versions are amazing
This is definitely one of my favorite live performances. Yum
love how the bassist is spinining around in the chair most of the time
This is probably my favorite song by Coheed and Cambria
mic todd is the more calm/chill member especially live
This is one of my favorite coheed&cambria songs. c&c kick asssss mann
Wow! Amazing!
The majority of their songs are first fully written and "Tested out" acoustically, the studio work added much later.
Prolly why this is so AWESOME.
Awesome voice. Awesome song. Awesome band.
his voice is getting better all the time i cant wait to see it how will be within the next few years
This is a great version of the song. Coheed should just release an album with just acoustic versions of the songs. They have done many of them and I am sure tons of people would buy it. =]
this is my favorite performance of this song.
i just heard like 50 covers of a favor house and they all had bad guitars,or the singers were choking on balls and when i saw this i was like good god thank you for who uploaded this. Its such an awsome song
Jeez, Claudio has such amazing vocal dynamics. You can hear a huge difference in his ability when watching earlier performances.
i love you!
I agree with the last 3 below. this is incredible and is by far the best song in their catalog especially live!
K rock was an alternative station in New York that got turned into another dance music station. I miss it so much
Love this version.

Talent in its purest form...

The best version of the song I've heard
They Rock .
real music lives...
still my fave acoustic version of a favor house Atlantic
If I remember correctly, this was around the period of time when Claudio was having vocal problems, if not then it was soon after. For you haters out there, go hate somewhere else, you're not wanted here. Regardless, this is an amazing rendition of the song.
wow! what an astute observation!
Without a doubt he does...
This is THE version of A Favor House Atlantic to listen to
This made my day :)
I would never expact such a voice from a man who looks like him :D
theres a cd called Kerrang! acoustic sessions and this is one of the songs off of it but i cant find the cd
This sounds much better acoustic. Its an amazing song!
this is slightly different from the kerrang 4 track compilation
yet another beautiful take on an eternally perfect song
the words you scribbled on the walls
the loss of friends, you didn't have
i'll call you when the time is right
are you in or are you out
for them all to know the end of us all
if they play more Coheed I'd listen to that radio station more :P
Let it be a secret band that only a few of us know about 😅🤫
O M G
love em
the chords he plays for the verse are an A, B, C#, A. Then in the chorus he plays E. and for all the chords, the high E and B strings are played open.
thx bro
It sucks that Mic is gone, but we're in luck. Josh is coming back to the band. So exciting
yes all of us
the bass sounds awesome with Claudio's voice
Love that "acoustic" bass...
@badassmuhgee nice use of the word venacular there!
wow that really make sense,
i miss k.rock
how is a light in the glass not progressive? It has like 15 different parts. Its one of the most epic songs i have ever heard. How can you be a coheed fan and not love A Ligt in the Glass.
i guess its nice to know that people can sometimes think ur voice-cracking sounds intentional and awesome.
ultimate guitar
best version of this song, anyone have tabs??!!
i love his alteration of "with the loss of friends you didnt have" at 2:10
Exactly
Coheed and Cambria should definately not be labeled as a prog band, but they surely have extremely progressive songs.
IKSSE3, The Crowing, A Light In The Glass, The Willing Well Series are all very progressive songs. I love Coheed because they have these epic masterpieces like A light in the Glass, but can still wright a catchy mainstream single.
@BrandiniXCoheed - standard tuned town 1/2 step: Eb Ab Db Gb Bb eb (largest string to smallest)
When I really get into a song while playing bass, I cry sometimes.
@dimarziotonezone23 You were just projecting 'cause that's what Coheed's amazingness makes you feel like. Don't worry, we all get that.
@quik720 sorry to interject here, but this is absolutely the greatest youtube argument i've ever seen. there's nothing that even competes with this
Can anyone here find me a tab for THIS version of this song? I mean the acoustic. I can ALMOST see which ones he's playing, but not quite. Not having any luck on google searches. Thanks guys!
I just noticed that on the very end when it say Krock you can hear one lasr bass note XD
claudio is amazing, coheed is an awsmome band
Yah i agree.
@TheShadowCross I always thought the acid reflux thing was a just rumor...
@Dopeyjr33 Yeah, that's what I always heard.
@badassmuhgee For the "record" it is "organism".
I think that in cobaltandcalcium have some nice tabs.
Glad I could help.
FYI this was posted in October of 2007....
@quik720 Wait, so when was the last time you had an organism?
This is kinda like the mass. recording at the comic store. Travis seems like his volume is too low and we're missing out on some acoustic-only parts. >=/
i would agree
were can i download the MP3 of this
This is utterly amazing. i have heard the studio version of this track but it pales in comparison to this.
i feel like this acoustic version tells the story a lot better. as far as i understand, this is the part where "claudio" in the fictitious story is running from Wilheilm Ryan where A Favor House Atlantic is Ryan's headquarters
ahhhhh i miss K-Rock! NYC radio stations suck now...
here are what i listen to.
coheed and cambria

bob marley

lil wayne and other rap.
but CoCa are #1
@psyckla5 but hes claudio sanchez. he is just that amazing
This is even better than the album version. Oh shit.
they're astonishing, claudios voice is just.. well.. there isnt a word that sums it up.
travis coulda been louder, but was still perfect
I've not heard a better vocalist come from this decade than Claudio Sanchez
At least Josh is back!
can anyone find me a tab of THIS actual playing of this song?
It weird to see Mic and Travis on opposite sides. It's usually Travis to the right of Claudio and Mic to the left.
what chords is he playing? i really really want to know and all the ones online dont sound right
@paleofwater
You do realize that Mr.Sanchez can pull light out of black holes with his voice?
Pretty sure he is doing it on purpose.
