Yea man I fucking LOVE this song. That lead guitar in the two first verses is such a damn good lick. It's like high-octane energy, super positive and healing joy with strength.

Hey Rick / anyone else who sees this, I've been trying to learn this song but I'm having trouble with muting the open A to make it sound clean so it doesn't ring out(Around 3:08) I'm fine with the C# since you can just take your fingers off to make it stop ringing but what would be the best way to mute the open A chord (so it doesn't ring out)? Just palm mute with the picking hand? Or maybe mute with the middle finger or something with the fretting hand? Any help would be awesome!
Hey man, I’m trying to understand your question a little better..if you mean then Amaj7 chord there at 3:08 you want the A string to ring open to form that chord. But if you mean the Low E string that’s an excellent question! If you look carefully, I’m blocking the E with my thumb. And I flatten out my ring finger to block the e, B, and G strings. Hope this helps!
@@RickLandGuitar Hey Rick! Thanks for the quick response. Yep I meant the Amaj7 chord. Sorry for the confusion, to rewrite my question better I meant so after you play the chord (open a, 6th fret on d string) I was asking how do you stop it from ringing out? So the A and D string from the chord don't ring out while you play the 4-6 on the G string (and so on). Or in other words, usually for power chords that are fretted you can just stop fretting to make the chord stop ringing out, but how do you stop it ringing out with the open chord? Hope that makes my question more clear.
@@spookyghost7515 ah I gotcha! Simply use your right hand to mute the strings, that Amaj7 chord is followed by a quick cut, so if you watch me play it in the beginning of the video, my right hand comes down on the strings and then I play the single note part of the riff
