    I really dig listening to Cimino. I hadn't ever heard of Luchino Visconti. Now I'm diving in.

    I heard he was an egomaniac, the first words here proves it,nevermind the personality i know he ain't the one hit wonder some yoyos called him, his very first film is proof of an strong auteur'mind close to Siegel or Peckinpah, sadly his ego and the Heaven's gate disaster brought him down too quick.

      If you had worked in the film industry like me for 32 years you would know that a good director takes inspiration by the best ,, that's not ego that's recherche.
