This is of course the dream of any Volca owner. Fantastic to see you dial the knobs and make them work. Now I will crawl back to my little studio and give the Bass and Keys another go...
Hi, nice choon ! I play 8 volcas, I have a small dj mixer between the drum machines, adds dynamics to the drums with a cross fader , it's also fun to chop away at the beats !😀
It depends on what else you have in your studio, but the volca sample 2 is key if you want to sequence samples, and my fav volca synth is the warm volca bass, especially if you already have the somewhat colder digital volca FM (not a bad thing!)
Yeah I have the sunset too! Amazing little distortion unit good for synths as well. I think the next one im eyeing up from strymon is the Nightsky. Im a sucker for ambient reverb
@@flipspark If you like dirt pedals for synth, two pedals you should look into are the Hot Wax and Operation Overlord, both from Electro-Harmonix. The reason they are so good for synth is that they both have clean blend knobs, which means you can blend in the dry signal alongside the distorted signal. Great on bass and synth. They are super cheap as well. Very good value.
This song is very well mixed and mastered! How did you master the track? And how did you achieved this nice ambience in the background? Is it only Strymon Blue Sky with extremely long decay? Did you mix the Strymon somehow in the post-processing? Well done!!!
Yeah good question. I haven't figured that into the system yet! I think it would be possible with a compressor pedal as a synth insert perhaps receiving the kick from the Volca Beats
Awesome sounds, nice work! What are you using as the hub for all the MIDI cables? I assume you can assign the keystep and have all the volcas on a different channel you can the switch between on the keystep?
@@flipspark I agree with you. When I had my setup I did the same thing. Now I’m wanting to get back into music production. I like using propellerheads Reason software. I like using software but there is just something about using hardware that’s different. You feel more engaged with the music.
@@keltecdan 100%. I don't personally think hardware sounds better than software, but I do find it is more hands on and therefore more inspiring. I definitely make better music in Ableton, but I have more fun on the volcas!
@@keltecdan dawless jamming is more fun ,, now I've switched off my PC I'm no longer screen blind and really like the dark with all the flashing lights..😎
Great track that had me hooked in the first 20 seconds. The mix is well balanced too. 👏👍
I'm still amazed what these Volcas are capable of. I should dig into your videos to search for more of this stuff … 😁

Fantastic live recording! Well done! 👏👍✌️🎉❤️

Going Volca, thinking about starting with the FM2....
What's next? Aany suggestions? :)
I own the Keys and Bass. They are a lot of fun. FM is next on my list. Probably gonna pick up a used original since they are cheaper now. 🙂
sample2 imo :) stereo and can make so many sounds

Get a 10 channel mixer ,,,,, just incase ,🤣
Love this😍😍
Magnifique, superbe!!!
Strymon makes great stuff. I use the Iridium and the Sunset for recording guitar. Glad to see their pedals work for synths too.

Yeah man, im putting up a video on my setup shortly :)
Wow, are you running all your volcas through just those 2 pedals?
There’s a lot of money in that setup
Ive been building this up over a long long time, so haven't really felt the cost. I love music technology tho, so its a bit of a collection :)
