Had a crazy thought with these infinity mirrors.
What if you built a circular one, where the distance of the spacer where the light sits, is narrow on one side, and wider of the other side (hard to explain it correctly) -so you can put a small engine on it to turn it slowly. That way you get the effect without having to move from side to side yourself.
Depending on the speed of the turning, it could be a fun effect to play with, uneven spacing too.

Late to the party (as usual) but this is an extremely well done video. It's so simple that looking at the first minute told me everything I needed to know, but I watched all the way to the end because it was so well done. No chit-chat, not off-topic remarks, steady camera... Well done! Oh, and the effect is great. I especially like the jig for bending the aluminum strip -- the UHMW plastic discs are genius.

Have used this design for a uni project involving ws2812b, the stand is bigger due to all the components I had to put under it. It's not difficult to make you can cut some wood and just glue it to make the area where you want to put in the mirrors. Thank you for the help, as this helps to remove the glass very easy, for transportation.

Router, router table, vertcal drill press, drill bits for the drill and the router, saw and most of all, skills. THe last one you don't buy it on shelves. ^^

Mojo Jojo you could easily do most of that with hand tools. And if not you could just ask someone that has the required tools if you could use them. Simple.

Yah it is. It's quite easy to build. You just have to have some basic knowledge of how to use tools and how to measure and cut.

Nigel, a very good video. Well explained, well demonstrated, and no fluff. I particularly like that you gave the measurements in both Metric and Imperial. Again, well done. Cheers.

Dear TechieDIY, Hearty Congrats for this crisp and exact video instruction!!
If all of the umpteen millions of "Tech Videos" in UA-cam are as narrative and Crystal Clear like this , I would have subscribed to all of them!
You provided Every Necessary Info on each part used in this project with ample number of links.
Very considerate!! Thanks!! A lot of thanks!!
The video quality is Very Good and your clear pronunciation is so calm as to assist even non english speakers.
Above every thing, you did not include a track of music at the back ground!! So calm and lovable method of presentation. You must have experienced the value of music less videos just like myself, after going thru Unwanted and Mismatched Blare of some digisound track irritating all thru the video.
Again, I thank you for this calm recording. Only a bit of music at the last portion!
I am a techie and hobbyist in electronix and engineering of all sorts. Designer of "Concept to Product" projects for college students. A VERY HARDENED AND STRICT "DO-IT-YOURSELF" Techie. Since 1968.
The dawn of Hobbyist Culture and the mid age of Transistor. And the weaning era of Thermionic Valves!!
Yours is one of the very few YT Channels I subscribed.
Really feeling very sad for not coming to this earlier.

Thank You for those Brilliant ideas ... there is nothing more to say, Viktor Wildemann said Perfect 2 years ago:

It is not only the project. Not just your work.
The art of explaining, the details, and the camera position ist amazing.
You are not talking too much and say anything else than is needed to know.... " ...Thank You again ...
    - one question tho: in my country, the Acrylic materials are very hard to buy and very expensive, can I use some clear window glass and some foil to reproduce those reflective effects? ... Thanks ... Please keep us on loop with all your work

This is fantastic! I wish I had a house and a decent sized work shed, instead of a tiny poxy 1 bed flat. I'd definitely have a go at this, having been a wood machinist for 8 yrs making furniture for Laura Ashley.
