Wow. Just wow. You sir are truly gifted. Not only have you created something most people couldn’t even imagine hit to create, and creating it, but you gave instructions on how to do it. You aren’t like other fake DIY channels where you take a soda can and make a propeller with no use, or taking a bottle and putting it on a shower head, you are truly unique and deserve way more subscribers. You are amazing and I truly hope that you never give up on doing anything. This video proves that people can do stuff even if others doubt them. Never give up.
Those channels are down right DANGEROUS! One of the videos on "UA-cam KIDS" almost killed my nephew. He went and got a box cutter and was trying to cut apart cans and cut his tiny finger almost completely off, and also cut his wrist. It was one swipe and the blade got caught I guess and he forced it. I know kids shouldn't have access to a blade like that, but he only got it because he found a video on making your own candy dispenser or something. After that happened my sister started browsing, and another kids channel was telling kids to dip Strawberries in BLEACH to make them white! Another had one making a dog food dispenser out of legos, which a dog could easily chomp a few off and choke... and another was for children to modify xbox controllers! Telling kids to take apart expensive xbox tech and likely destroy expensive gear and probably also get hurt doing it. That's not even to mention all the videos using condoms in the projects... yeah. It's real fucking awkward when you're at the store and your 10yo nephew asks if he can buy CONDOMS! In front of everyone, lmao and at the register yells... "Oh dag! I forgot my condoms! Escuse me store lady! Where is the condoms?" Like... wtf even are those videos?! Why?
I wish I had these handy hands. I remember that once I touched a toy in a shop. It broke after it. No jokes .fck. I am garbage materially. P.S. I cannot imagine how many dislikes I am getting here.
I remember watching this channel some time ago. I only came back after a while of not watching. And am blown away by the quality of the camera, the incredibly clear instructions and attention to detail. You sir, have redesigned DIY on the internet.
"It's time to start working on the stuff you'll _actually_ see..." Wait... that work of art is the back? Or inside? Lmao WUT!? WAAAI?! You good sir, are an absolute maniac. That is beautiful and the meticulous craftsmanship should be on display! I thought the whole point was making beautiful insides you'd see _through_ the crystal... like a nature+tech kind of æsthetic. Man. All that gorgeous work, to just hide away! You even polished the copper! Gah! I wish I had an ounce of your attention to detail, skill, and patience. If even a fraction of the world had them as well, we'd be on Mars already!
DIY Perks Hey, Matt, loved the video. For the next one, could you please make your own touchscreen or something; Maybe modify the LCD screen you made earlier with one?
Have you ever noticed you're quite good with words..? The way you express your diy's with such deep words is impressive... I would say you should try writing a book or something.
Sure, just don't let him guide anyone on wiring. While the electronics used here, isn't gonna kill a person, they can definitely shock people if they tough the wires (including the DIY powercord) and there's potential for shortage on the LED's and the other electronics, which could destroy them and thus replacements would be needed. An otherwise cool looking floating tower sculpture, can pretty quickly become a pain in the ass with that wiring.
I just don't get how DIY Perks isn't among the most famous you-tubers in the whole wide world, I really don't. every video leaves me speechless its just amazing.
I never thought I would, but I've acquired a soldering iron and wires, (and a led color changing light base that I won't have to alter) and I think I'm going to do a simplistic version of it.
I bought some of that crystal around 30 years ago with the intention of making something similar with a single color. Time to dig through boxes and find it and hope it hasn't been crushed as it's quite fragile. Thanks for reigniting a long shelved project.
I said that aswell when I got into DIY but you will be amazed on how good you really are. you should try it out if you like it. if you fail just redo it :)
hole - 1st drill press channel firstly I was like you then when I've mastered some work I found out that Perks was sometimes a noob lol like in pc build, that was funny. before each master there's a beginner
Well actually the crafting skills hes showing are not really impressing. What I love is his creativity! His ideas just are great. But honestly, that level of sawing, soldering or painting should not afraid you ;)
Wow, the level of quality in this (and all other) videos is absolutely astounding. I am absolutely swept off my feet. Love the project as well, I may actually try this one :D

Yes. I got 6-7in and they are also much smaller than this video. I am struggling because the board I have selected is a bit small and I need to get crafty to find room to add the pins to hold the concrete.

I'm only 1/3 of the way into this, the second video of yours I'm watching, and you've got yourself a new subscriber! Also... I finally feel enough need to get myself a soldering iron, etc... Thank you for the brilliant video!

i really admire your channel. Im used to do diy projects from when i was a kid and i really have skills and knowlage to make stuff like you, but i miss the ideas which you provide me with, thank you ALOT, keep up the good work :D cheers
also, the only project i really laughed was the one with a phone screen fix XD you have the knowlage but man that screen removal technique shure was original, smart tho, too bad it didnt work haha
I thought that I had post notifications turned on when I subscribed a few months ago, but to my dismay I hadn't! But the silver lining is that I can binge watch all of your lovely DIY's. This is an absolutely gorgeous project, I'll definitely need to try something similar someday! Thank you for your videos!!!
ha, YES! I knew there was a reason I kept a shoebox full of old IDE cables. Take that, ex-gf's who said I was a pack rat. End result looks incredible. But here's a painting tip from someone who paints pro and rec: apply the darker color first, thin the paint down A LOT (like skim milk) and "wash" it over the whole area. Then switch to the lighter color and dry brush it all over the raised texture. Even better: Apply the primary base color you want > apply darker wash > re-apply base (avoiding recesses) > dry brush with 3rd, brighter highlight color (use a big brush for dry brushing).
i love your pronunciation of your commentary! this is well made and probably the best DIY vid ever! keep up the work! and for the time and effort put in this project you deserve way more likes and subs! Love your description! linking where you could buy the "tower" was genius and its awesome and helpful that you put where you got everything in the description! all i'm trying to say is you put a lot of effort into great work including the project, description, editing, and the voice over! keep it up and you will become well known! just trust me!
DND crew he speaks to the audience and he always keep that in his mind. Not like many you tubers out there. They are in the strange assumption that every viewer are capable to grab ones native dialect.
This is actually a great gift idea for my sister who has a geology degree and loves crystals. Plus I have a small background in electronics and needed a good project to get back into it. Definitely doing this at some point, and it doesn't take a lot of artistic talent to make it beautiful. Awesome work on a great tutorial, and it leaves enough freedom so I can put my own twist on some of the parts.
That's super beautiful! I collect crystals, and selenite is one of my favorites. The funniest thing is, that just today I actually bought a selenite tower! I had several selenite pieces, both raw and polished, and a selenite candle holder already, but today I bought my first tower. And then I find this video! :D However, I'll buy another tower, if I get around to making this lovely project, as I already have a place where I want to put the one I bought today. But this DIY is such a cool idea, and it would fit perfectly into my home, too. Thanks for sharing!
Not gonna lie. I love this so much... but I suck at just... all of this. Is there any way you'd consider doing a simplified version for noobs? I'm actually currently working on the TV skylight (I'm nocturnal so I like that.) but most of your projects seem so daunting and intimidating and out of my skill level, and the skill level of many people. If you did simplified versions of some of your more complex builds, I know people would flock here and appreciate it. Either way, thanks. I'm gonna try to make something similar, as best I can, to the best of my abilities! Thanks for the hard work, and thanks for sharing with all of us!
Just follow this tutorial step by step. It maybe looks complicated, but once you're at it, it will be easier. :) The mushroom lights were a bit more difficult for me because of those resistors. I bought a whole pack with resistors from 0 Ω to 1 MΩ... Only needed some with 200 Ω. It was kinda hard to find them. But I managed it... Somehow.. :D
tiny question that may seem dumb, how does the crystal tower get its light?i see the strands on the back but nowhere does any lights go on the front or bottom or even inside,so does that mean the selenite tower has lights in it already?

Either way, thanks. I'm gonna try to make something similar, as best I can, to the best of my abilities!
Thanks for the hard work, and thanks for sharing with all of us!
Just follow this tutorial step by step. It maybe looks complicated, but once you're at it, it will be easier. :)
The mushroom lights were a bit more difficult for me because of those resistors. I bought a whole pack with resistors from 0 Ω to 1 MΩ... Only needed some with 200 Ω. It was kinda hard to find them. But I managed it... Somehow.. :D
Thank you for showing this on UA-cam!
one of the prettiest things one could make, surely gonna give this a try
best thing about your videos is your voice...so clear and prefect pace...great content as usual...
tiny question that may seem dumb, how does the crystal tower get its light?i see the strands on the back but nowhere does any lights go on the front or bottom or even inside,so does that mean the selenite tower has lights in it already?
He put two LED strips beneath the tower before gluing it on it's base. It's in the video :)
But goes by quick. I had to go back and look again since I missed it the first time as well :)
واااااو ☹❤
wow , I want it 😩🙏🏻
This is truly beautiful, did you manage to make it on the first try?
your calm tone and accent is really satisfying
