Z Axis Upgrade to the WorkBee CNC

- I noticed movement in my Z Axis of my WorkBee CNC, in this video I will add linear rails and block to the Z Axis more solid. After making the upgrade there is still a little movement but I think this is due to the wheels of the X Axis. I plan on upgrading the Y and X Axis at some point.

Dust Boot From PWN CNC
The maker files for the dust boot that I have is no Longer available. There is a new version that was released, I plan on 3D printing it and will probably create a video.

The great thing about having a CNC is that you can CNC your own upgraded parts. I tend to 3d print all mine first to check they fit etc, then just machine them. I think the HGR15 are the way to go over the 12.
Also HGR rails would be better for CNC than MGN
I did end up upgrading my X axis with HGR 15 Rails, it made the whole assembly a lot more ridged. I also 3D print all of my part before machining, it makes it a lot easier to correct mistakes in the design. Thanks for you comments.
I by coincident had a collision yesterday and noticed some play on the Z-axis also, hopefully I can get it out.
Try the RatRig Killerbee upgrade for Workbee
I looked at the Killerbee and the Queenbee, but shipping is way to high right now. Thanks for watching!
Did you have to shim the nut block for the leadscrew on the new plates? I've just started doing this upgrade to my machine and looks like that might be required.
Yes, you will need to shim the nut blocks, you can find the 3D files for them on my thingiverse page. www.thingiverse.com/thing:5883920/files
Sweet! Sorry, I must've missed that bit. Thanks for sharing the video and part files.
Can I buy those 3d printed parts off you? I’ve been feeling pretty helpless about this whole issue, thanks!
Sure, which 3D prints are you referring to?
All the plates required to mount the linear rails, do you have a Facebook or an email?

Do you have the files for the plates anywhere?
I just put them on Thingiverse. www.thingiverse.com/thing:5883922/files
