Nasi Goreng or Fried Rice is a common food among Asian countries. It doesn't belong exclusively to Indonesian cuisine. Nasi = Rice, Goreng = Fried. It kinda same with Rissotto
No, "Nasi Gorenng" does not mean INDONESIAN fried rice, nothing to do with Indonesia. It simply means "fried rice" in Malay, MALAYsia's national language..
As a Malaysian, please for goodness sakes... Please DO NOT promote Jalan Alor... Reason why? Simple... because they have the WORST FOOD and the prices are just expensive. Ask any locals on where to get good food and they will tell you. Please ask any local person. I'm 100% sure we as Malaysians are more than happy to point you to some REAL Good Food.
Nasi goreng simply means fried(goreng) rice (nasi) nothing specifically to say it’s Indonesian or not. I’m not too sure if it’s officially Indonesia’s National Dish though. The difference between a laksa noodle and a curry noodle is the broth - the laksa broth should be more watered down, where the curry noodle broth should be much more robust. But at times, some sellers do not hv a very distinct difference.
That was Chestnuts they were roasting together with coffee beans in the huge metal bins. Margarine and sugar were added to give the chestnuts it’s smoky and aromatic fragrance.
Must try char kuey teow (stir fried flat noodles) and roti canai (naan like pancake with curry) before leaving Malaysia. Try out Malay kuih muih (snacks/coconut based dessert variety) and Seremban siu pau (baked bbq bun). Also try ais kacang or cendol if you wanna try our cool desserts. One more thing-give teh tarik (“pull” tea) a try, which is milk tea. It’s pretty yummy
I really don't like when people eat animals but I watch your videos because you guys have a nice calming affect on me, thank you for that, I apprecaite the realness, these videos also help me when I sometimes can't eat, because it's so relaxed in your videos it helps mee
You know what, when you messed up using 'Indonesian' Nasi Goreng, In Country of Malaysia, you creating a war between two of these country... we always fight over to claim who own this culture, who own that food, who own those fashion, who own these language etc... That the truth is, Both of those Malay Race came from the same ancestors... well, it just political... So I would advise you to not to messed up using Indonesia and Malaysia... if you in Malaysia, just use Malay or Malaysia... while in Indonesia, use Indo, Malay or Java, or whatsoever they called themselves..sorry.. nice Video... Enjoy Malaysia.... 👌👌👌👌
Hambali Ramlee Ramlee we're not idiot like indonesia. All country have their own fried rice but indon are weird cuz like to claim everything from malaysia.
Mie bandung tak baik la perangai cm ni org melayu banyak juga yng claim jgn jdi angkuh sgt ramai je yang berbaik je demi agama islam and bukan demi negara.....manusia dicipta dari tanah oleh Allah dan bukan negara ......sesama islam slalu nak gaduh.....
actually in all Asia country have their own fried rice but they all difference and have their own taste and uniqueness , such as in Malaysia they have many types of fried rice like nasi goreng kampung , when you go to Indonesia you will found their own fried rice too , meanwhile in Bangkok you will have their pattaya fried rice and in China you will have their Chinese fried rice...so,fried rice is a very common food in Asia ..and I don't think fried rice are born from Indonesia and have been officially be their international food because all the variety of fried rice are all created by the different asian people itself. anyway great vid dude! hope u enjoy visit there ! 🔥💕 #sorry4badgrammar
Lucky that we Malaysian are not as sensitive as the Indonesian who like to claim a lot of things theirs and make a lot of noise about it. We prefer to correct mistakes rather make issues out of this. Nasi goreng is Malay word for fried rice in English. What you ate was nasi goreng mamak style. When Malaysia promotes Malaysian food abroad normally it will be like nasi lemak, mee bandung, satay, laksa, lemang, lontong, rojak, soto, roti canai, roti jala. These food you can find them everywhere in Malaysia. We dont promote other countries food.
1:35 That's wok hei or the breath of the wok 2:20 You should be drinking kopi Ipoh, or Malaysian style coffee. Go into a food court and order either a kopi susu or the larger kopi susu gelas. 7:12 Those prunes come in dozens of different varieties from sweet with a little salt to almost totally salt. There's also licorice powder in the mix.
Ya, in fact fried rice was in China, Korea, Indonesia and many more country with different style. "Nasi Goreng" is just how fried rice translate into Malay language which sounds the same as Indonesia. in fact Indonesia style are different from our Malaysia Malay style fried rice. 😊 I love our Malay and Mamak style Nasi Goreng as well as Indonesia style i tried in Jakarta. They are all good and unique 😊 next time try Nasi Goreng Kampung 👍👍😊
Wow, that food looked so good! And very diverse, it wasn't tired to watch and the tour was great. Hugs guys and a big kiss to Nikita, who is really charismatic 😍
u went to the right place for the Chinese Dinner 😍 I love the food there too. That black color noodle is call "Hokkian Mee", also mean "Hokkian style Noodle" Hokkian 福建 = a place in Chinese also where one of the major Malaysian Chinese origin from. others like GuangDong, Hakka, Hainan...etc. Each have slightly different living style, eating habit, business major and so on. It is very intetesting after u get to know more. Hainanese can made very good "Hainese Chicken Rice" and local Coffee called "Hainanese Kopi”, "Hainanese Chicken Chop" and so on. That is because Hainanese usually serve British as home maid during colony. Hokkian like "Dark Soya Sauce" so those food in black color are usually Hokkian Style. Like Bak Kut Teh (Pork Rid Soup) if black color is Hokkian style, if light color then should be Hakka Style. Johor, Penang, Klang, are mostly Hokkian. Ipoh, local KL Chinese are mostly Guang Dong. if you observe the Chinese in different area actually have slight different eating habit, personality and living style.
Stop calling Nasi Goreng "Indonesian Fried Rice", goddammit! Nasi Goreng is MALAY for "FRIED RICE". Malay is the national language of Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei. Indonesia DOES NOT exclusively own Nasi Goreng, the dish is also part of national culture of Malaysia, Southern Thailand (where there are 2 million Malays), Singapore (once a part of Malaysia and 15% of its people are Malays), Brunei (70% Malays) and Southern Philippines. Stop associating Nasi Goreng exclusively with that country called Indonesia for heaven's sake! It's offensive to us Malaysians, Singaporeans, southern Thais, southern Filipinos and Bruneians!
Musnahkan ɐᴉsʎɐlɐW AMEN!!! talk about slavery, most of your people are being slaves and also look at your corruptions country, stupid Indonesian. 😂 must be sad, looking at Malaysia being above you must've made you jealous much. 😂😂😂
Your video inspired me to make a big batch of nasi goreng today, with chicken and shrimp. Looks like I'll be eating this for a few days, but I have no problem with that.
Hi there. I kinda like how you enjoy Malaysian food. Can you please make a visit of another country, Sabah to be exact. And enjoy some seafood and so much more.
Hokkien Noodles only available in KL and klang valley....origins from hokkiens from KL.. yellow noodles has alkalie flour and eggs. The incredient inside normally is Fish paste slices, Local Choysum and cabage. Sometimes it has Pork liver slices and some other pork innards maybe piggy's falopian tube. But it's all good and tasty. Main incredient secret recipe is that must fried with lots of Lard. Previously the best rated hokkien noodle was Kim Lian Kee at China Town(Petaling street) nearby Hong Leong bank.
Still enjoying watching your videos, you guys must be having the time of your lives, just wish I could had done something like this when I was younger.
Malaysia is full of amazing food, like anywhere you look you are bound to see amazing food (Btw the fish product that you mention its called fish cake)
Hi! I just started watching your videos so I'm sure you've mentioned it before but is Nikita a friend of y'alls? He's everywhere lol Love your videos :)
the so delicious one is sate (satay). please go to our 'sate city' - kajang. how to get there? take ride the MRT line to city KAJANG at your right destination is station STADIUM KAJANG. Believe or not, Malaysia has many delicious foods in the world. 'Rendang' (Negeri Sembilan) is among top 1st delicious food in the wold!
We had variety of nasi goreng actually. Nasi goreng kampung Nasi goreng cili api Nasi goreng ayam Nasi goreng cina Nasi goreng mamak Nasi goreng pattaya Too many to be list 🤗
I my opinion Nasi Goreng or fried rice is not an Indonesian origin or Malaysia origin food, its origin from China. But it pretty much can found around southeast, so fried you ate at MY is MY fried rice and fried rice you at Indonesia is Indonesia's fried rice. Of course there are local specialty of fried rice. Should try it when go to different country or region.
What do mean sir, Indonesian Fried rice? You are eating in Malaysia so its nasi goreng mamak. Other Asian countries too have their own version of nasi goreng.
have you guys ever try our malay traditional cuisine called masak lemak cili api serve with smoked beef?have a taste on them at our food truck nearby kwsp wangsa melawati. it a wonderful experience if you dare to try on our food challenge, instead of using the thai chili, we are using the habanero as our secret ingredient. visit us (lokal neighborfood) and spread the words to others.
How long were you in Malaysia and did you ever get sick? Also, what shots did you take so you wouldn't get disease or sickness? I was thinking about going with a friend. Thanks!💙
when term "Indonesian fried rice" came out ohh now i realise you were in foreign restaurant. you know the best place to visit malaysia is in the east coast part of peninsular..
i observed many westerners were using only fork to eat the rice.. you guys should use spoon 🥄 instead as it can scoop the rice better nonetheless welcome to malaysia
love the day into night shot...clever....and again you guys are brave FOOD adventurers...Nikita feel better please...aren't there some medicines available for you???
Hermm.... Mee kari and Laksa are slightly different from each other.. So if you ordered curry noodles, it is not laksa.. laksa has a few types, and it depends on the state where it comes from.. You can have Laksa Johor, laksa utara, laksa Penang, etc.. but I do suspect that you had mee kari (curry noodles) not laksa..
If you wanted to eat something other than nasi kandar. I don't recommend nasi kandar restaurant. Food at mamak stalls and night market taste wayyy more better
Guys, 'nasi goreng' doesnt mean 'indonesian fried rice'...you r in malaysia, so it is malaysian fried rice version...n many country have their own version of nasi goreng which is originated from all over asia, not specifically indonesia...well i dont blame u guys coz indonesian like to claim everything as theirs....
I've been watching a lot of your videos and I have a question. Do you make your own music? I tend to use samples and then mix them together in a programme. Just wondering :)
Nasi Goreng means Fried Rice. Theres nothing to do with Indonesia. Its a common food in SouthEast Asia. So when u said Nasi Goreng it simply just translated to Fried Rice :)
