If you ask me, this side quest is nice for the fact it showcases his alias "Friendly Neighborhood",once, instead of fighting crimes or saving people in jeopardy,he just hear the old guy out and has a word with him,like a real pal.
This is one of the coolest features about Webslinger:The way he cares about the other citizens,which can teacheas us to become a more altruistic person.
