it's affordable, it's portable, I can take all my apps on-the-go, it can make any hmdi input device into a smart tv. my 4k has alexa, which makes it even easier.
Awesome video brother M. Haven't used a FIRESTICK In over 5 yrs. Shield for me . That's all I use. Keep the content coming. Hope you have an incredible night. Much love and RESPECT brother
Cost and sideloading. I am a cord cutter and 95% of time I am watching UA-cam via sideloaded app or that “K” thing app. Never spent more than $30 for any stick and I’ve probably bought 20 of them over the past few years to gift to friends. I stopped buying Roku’s about four years ago because not only did they cost more but I couldn’t sideload.
#3 would be #1 for me. The fire stick is android with a Amazon skin on top & that fact alone makes it a better option for those looking to take advantage of Android's open system as opposed to the closed systems of a Roku or Apple device. Since catching the Fire Cube on sale, I've upgraded from my fire stick purchased a couple years ago & for the last few months I've been on the Cube more than my Shield. Same fast performance & a #6 not mentioned-like the Shield -the stick gets updated regularly .
Prime day attracted me also since I got the 4K max version I was planning for the future upgrade of my 1080p televisions to 4K down the road. The interface was so so much better than our current media set up (streaming on Sony play station 4) that I decided to buy two more devices one for our master bedroom and one for my in-laws (these devices were on sale at Target)
We have used FireTv for quite a while. Stopped using it several months ago. When it works it's fine but we had problems with everyone we bought and the replacements also. They freeze or say there's no network or internet a lot. I probably won't ever buy one again unless they put in a real Ethernet port. Not those silly adapters. What are we using now? Well my wife got so frustrated that I suggested using my Shield TV until we figure something else. She still have it. I need another Shield TV but have to work that into the budget. :) With the Covid inflation....
The sale price was what got me to buy it. When I learned I could jailbreak it, it got better. I’d like to know how to get/use apks on it. (That’ll be fun.) Other than that, idk what fun there is to have with it.🤷🏾♀️
@@AlfsGirl that's something you would not know about or care about but the fire stick has a lot of different apps that is on here to get you sports with a little cost of course. That's another reason I brought one too!
amazon Wi-Fi sharing with the firestick is the biggest reason I have not gotten ONE, and I understand that in settings a person can turn this disturbing feature off but with every new update comes the fear that it's turned back on again
I have bought Amazon Fire TV Sticks as gifts for others, but use the 2017 and 2019 Tube from Nvidea as my main streamers and servers. The Fire Sticks just aren't as powerful. But I will continue to give them as gifts and they ARE more dependable than some of the junk android boxes that aren't.
Cost, flexibility, intuitive interface, reliability, side load endless apps
The reason I use it is the ability to add sources to the guide, I use UA-cam tv and philo and to be able to add those channels into the guide is huge.

Number one reason I can get my hustle on.

Roku and Nvidia shield.. also getting the Comcast device in a few days
All their bad reason is why I use the fire stick I love it 🌹
#3 for me... it's really great to be able to side load apps! Thanks for all your help & info!
Spend the extra $25 and get The Fire Cube....top performer

Affordability and simplicity hi Do you have any video on moving plex media from one external hard drive to another
Have you tried the TiVo streaming device compare to fire stick or roku?
Yes, i own all if them.
thank you sir
Cost and versatility easy to backload app’s
Thought it would be easy! It is not!!!

The price of course and the fact that they have got rid of all the sports apps
@@TheMoemoney66 I’d think that people would be more attracted to it for having sports apps on it.🤔

Reason #1 is probably the main driver to pick a firestick
Price
#6: Amazon Luna cloud gaming! Console level gaming without a $500 box... ✔️.
