What a great journey. I remember how excited we were when our shed arrived, knowing we were going to make it into our home. So fun watching your journey. Thanks for sharing
As a person who loves building tiny cabins I think its very cute, however, I would of staggered the wall and wood boards instead of one solid line all the way up. But I did the same mistake on my first cealing project. I do agree on one comment, spray foam is much easier and warmer. My house is acually two solid 16 by 40s connected with a 12 by 12 foot breezeway in the middle connecting the 2 units. Had amish make it. Sold our 40 acres and 3 bed home and built on 12 acres on what we sold our old home for to pay off the dept and start a new. My hubby and me love it! 15 yeara of marriage! We heat with a heat pump and pallet stove. 😊
So cool ..did you document it at all? I’d love to see the Amish built cabins! I lived in a tiny home once before and husband and I plan on doing it again with a farm. We will be celebrating 21 years next June. :)
Nice I want to take 2 of similar build and put them side by side a connect them blowing out the roof to make 2 huge lofts (this one is 12x24 living space) making mine into a24x48 😎. Nice job on the finish ty for sharing😊
I'm getting ready to do the same. I priced 1 x 4 x 8 boards at $9@ today, I think I will buy 2 x 4 x 8 at $4@ and rip them myself. That knocks the price of the boards down to $2@. Cheaper than the cheap paneling I was looking at. Little sanding I think it will look great.
You should pay for the spray foam much easy and nice and warm during the winter but will cost more. I bought one 2017 12x28 and has spray foam on look so nice and very warm during winter time also cooler during hot summer.
So your in northern Michigan. 😲😲👍🤷 What county. How much of a hassle was it ❓ inspection. ❓WAS it ok to use prefab building, Was enough square footage ❓❓😲
Hello, My daughter purchased a 12x34 shed similar to your. I was thinking of doing the floor the same in a gray color. Could you share how you put the flooring down? I'm not sure if I need to do anything to the subfloor or not.
Instead of a jug of water on the counter, I use a new bug sprayer and a sink handheld sprayer put the 2 gal pump by your 5 gallon bucket Looks better and saves on space
We have 2, 12x24 sheds we are converting to cabins in Maine and I bought the same wood stoves you have. How well does it heat the space in winter? Thanks!

We just got our 12 x 30 cabin shed delivered yesterday. Thank you for some tips through this video.

Omg, we also own an Apache Ramada! Ours is a ‘77. Wasn’t expecting to see that in the video!
Really great job. I’m in the process of doing something similar in the U.P. Not quite as large as yours, though.
Your cottage is so cute! And please add more videos
Very inspiring! I’m about to embark on the same adventure in southern Missouri! Thank you for showing this you did great 😊
Very cute. Enjoyed this, especially Spot.😊
Very nice. cool dog.
Thank you so much!

Awesome video, well done! Your cabin is amazing!
Looks good nice job
Yep looks very cozy
Alternate the cuts on the interior siding and a vapor barrier after insulation. Other than that I am doing something similar.
So your in northern Michigan. 😲😲👍🤷

Hello,

good to see thank we are about to do our shed 14+ 48
The thing for a ditch would have been a ditch witch, and insulation either foam shredded cotton jeans
Is it safe to lay flooring down before drywalling?
OMG, look at all those oak leaves... I miss living back east. Commiefornia SUCKS.
Come on back! The east coast is still here and just waitin' for ya!
@@purselmer5931 soon as my kids graduate, just a couple more years then the ex no longer has majority custody.
@@adonian Wow, you know what you're doing. Stay near the kids - best thing for them, and then head on back this way! They're lucky to have you!
No vapor barrier?
Sorry, I’m a newbie. What were you spraying on the bottom of the cabin?
Great conversion, what company makes it?
Thanks! I’m not sure what company made it. The company that we purchased it from buys them and then sells them.
@@jodylee0241 What's the name of the company you purchased it from? I'm looking to move to Northern Michigan... Thanks!
Was there any particular reason that you used 1x 4's for the walls versus sheet rock?
I was wondering the exact same thing, would have been better, faster and cheaper. Must have been for aesthetics.
We just wanted to use them for the look. It was definitely more difficult.
@@jodylee0241 it looks nice. Just thought I was missing something.
We have 2, 12x24 sheds we are converting to cabins in Maine and I bought the same wood stoves you have. How well does it heat the space in winter? Thanks!
It definitely heats the place up good. We plan to get a more efficient one next year.
Did you insulate the floor?
No, we didn’t insulate the floor, but with the wood stove in there it stays pretty warm.
How much is one??
What state is this? Our state doesn't allow shed homes. I wish it did.
lime is pretty dangerous to be sniffing all day long for pets as well?
Code?
The windows are to low for standard cabinets . Walls not tall enough for standard cabinets.
Music was awfully repetitive. Thumbs down
Enough with the music already. Lost me not a sub. Peace!
