Literally my first thought when I saw that delivery box was how many siblings will lock their brother or sister in this thing... and then 5 seconds later Austin intentionally gets in it 😂😂
Eye-tracking monitors can be wildly expensive, but after helping our speech department set one up for a nonverbal student, I was amazed at the response time and accuracy. And this model was already 5 years old, and wasn't top of the line when it was purchased. The included software suite was pretty dope, although it got updated more than Beta Steam OS which was a little too frequent for an educational device.
If you're talking about the glasses, note that they are not eye tracking monitors. They use your entire face to move the cursor and that can be very tiring overtime, not to mention the strain on your nose from their weight. I get it, it's not average tech and whoever needs it absolutely needs it so they can get away with bumping the price up a little, but asking those who need it for 580$ and not giving them the ability to click is pretty much a callout that your company needs to go bankrupt.
The packaging box seems to be kinda useful in a sense if you live in a really bad area but at the same time people can still steal it. If it’s isn’t bolted down.
$400 to secure packages... yes... if you are solely looking at dollars, that might seem like a lot. But when you are having something like MEDICINE delivered, then you could literally die waiting for a refill. As a person who has literal lifesaving medicine delivered quite often... I greatly understand the need for secure package delivery, AND think that $400, or even the sale price of $200, is a great deal. IF it works.
@Northernheros The medicine I have delivered cannot be delivered to a po box, it must be delivered to a home, and has like a 4 hour window to be refrigerated.
Sounds like the glasses thingy it is for someone who has maybe one hand or maybe no hands anything that is for accessibility for disabled people is way too expensive
I have so many packages stolen I actually started paying for a separate mail box to have them delivered to. This would be ~ half the cost of just ONE YEAR. If you need a product like that, it is WELL worth it.
I remember my little dog who passed years back, we taught him how to open the outside door when he is done outside. Sadly he was bleeding internally from his leg that was broken from a car hit, couldn't let him suffer so we had to let him be put down. We have another dog with his own personality and keeps us on our toes.
Sauerkraut, a term which is made up of the German words sauer (sour) and kraut (cabbage), it is a Chinese invention and as much a French/Alsatian specialty as it is truly Irish. It was, in fact, the Chinese who first fermented cabbage in rice wine over 2,000 years ago. idk why i googled this. . . .
I thought after they locked Austin in, they would've just left and turned out the lights with the camera pointed at the box and Austin saying hesitantly "...hello?"
The thing with those package boxes is it slows the delivery driver now. Eventually FedEx or another deliver company will implement a protocol where their drivers can't use those package boxes.
I wish smart glasses have an optional headphone jack like the glassouse so I can use my own pair of wired headphones that I already have with 0 latency so I can charge my phone while using the headphone jack at the same time. I use the headphone jack all the time while I'm charging my phone at the the same and I use my phone while my phone is plugged into the charger while using the headphone jack at the same time. I also have a 3.5mm audio splitter so I can use my rode lavalier go mic from the 3.5mm headphone jack with my wired headphones from the 3.5mm headphone jack at the same time. Basically the smart glasses would be an extension of my phone display so I get the video output from the smart glasses and audio output from the headphone jack using both the headphone jack and the smart glasses at the same time. It would be cool to play games from my phone with the backbone controller while wearing smart glasses and my wired headphones plugged into the headphone jack on the backbone controller. I'm already using my wired headphones with the backbone controller but now I need a pair of smart glasses with a 4k mini led display so the display would be bigger than using any phone display by itself since my sony xperia 1 iv android phone already has a 4k 120 hz oled display.
porch pirate device has 256 combination options assuming you are allowed to repeat the numbers between 1-4, without its only 24 combinations possible. idk how he got 64. 4^4=256.
If the lock can't easily be braked from that packaging box, it's really useful, since you can just bolt it to the ground or the wall with some diy work, they should've included holes for bolts, otherwise it's just stupid, don't know how the heck they didn't think about that.
luckily porch pirates arent a big thing in my country, but I still have a parcel delivery locker. It is bolted down, and parcels can be inserted without a code or anything, similar to a post box (pull the handle down, insert parcel, and when you pull it back up it drops into the box). Its not as big as this EUFY one, but handles most of the smaller parcels (our smaller parcels tend to be more valuable anyway). The main issue is the delivery drivers dont use it, they still place a lot of the parcels right next to it.🤦♂
I have a box, not for porch pirates but my dogs, and probably 80% of the time they either put it next to the box or on top of it… I really don’t understand it
I think it could be because most deliverymen would rather walk up to your porch, leave the parcel and go on their way to the next delivery, and don't have the time to learn how the locker box works even if it's very easy to understand. Some of them don't even care at all.
Honestly, with that box for packages... I'd ALMOST say it's worth it for some people, if not for one thing. The fact that I don't trust Eufy farther than I could throw a car after that whole "We don't put your security footage on the cloud, it's stored locally for security so people don't steal your footage over wifi! But actually we're gonna save it to a cloud service without telling you," debacle. Nah. Eufy's bad news, I'm don't trust 'em.
Hey, now Dell Optiplexes are not E-Waste. They make great PFsense routers, you just need to add a network card. Still not worth that much but definitely not E-Waste.
Linux has native arm64 support. Put Ubuntu or Fedora on it, use inline disk compression, and liquid metal the processor to the heatsink (if it's copper or nickel!!) And see how much faster it feels Gnome versions 40-45 all have native touch/pen/tablet support as well, so that would be your best bet
"This is borderline egregious." Naw, it's double egregious. When the Wii was brand new, this setup would have cost two Wii remotes and a "Sensor Bar", which is at most 200 dollars.
do a field test with the deliveries safe and see just how many delivery drivers will even bother with it and how many of them will just YEET the package at the front door and drive away.
We give away these Optiplexes for free. With an SSD although only 240 GB and only 8 GB of RAM, but for the use cases these things have, that's great especially for free. Same chip too for the older ones, although we have some 6th and 7th Gens aswell
16:13, that device only have 24 possible combinations not 64. So the porch pirate just a few minutes can guess the right combination and leave even on camera.
This is wrong. It is not 4 factorial because the numbers can be reused. You have four spaces to fill and four numbers which is 4^4 =64*4 which is not 64
I'm watching this video on that very PC. Mine's black. It's a popular modding SFF Optiplex. It works pretty well. Funny enough, I was at H&R Block a couple of days ago and the agent was using one of these!
We got that exact low profile optiplex for free because they replaced the computers at my dad's job and forgot to take the Dell optiplex 3050 and I can't figure anything out to do with it because it has a 180w power supply and no name brand makes low profile power supplies above 240w
Does Austin not care about the iPhone event at all? I’m surprised I haven’t seen a single video at least covering it. I guess so many other creators are already doing that. I’m not complaining 🤷♂️
I’ll probably do a video on the phone when I’ve got my hands on it but there’s not a lot to say about the event that hasn’t been covered quite well by everyone else

well, why not just get a tobii eye tracking bar? its like 200 dollars that can attach to any monitors and it have excellent tracking
@@Simon-tr9hvGo easy on him. He has had that story in the chamber for yearssssss waiting for any reason to bring it up for the first time.

You really need the Lock Picking Lawyer to pop that package box. That would be awesome!

The next day at the studio, they noticed the Short-Life clock had reached 100%...

Surprisingly, that one wasn't too terribly priced. Usually people are getting milked for 250- 350USD for those sorry things.
