That Vtuber tracking stuff is actually pretty impressive! Tracks pretty well and the physics are nice! I noticed the hair move when Austin did turns!
It seems to be really shite outside of the app, when using it in actual games the tracking is horrible.
@@JanPeter56 It's not as good as full body tracking with VR technology, but they received updates over the last few months that improved performance outside the app. They seem to be on the same level as slimevr tracker right now in time, hope for further updates.
@JanPeter56 Well, it is meant for non-game applications. Specifically for vtubers as it shows. It seems hololive has been testing the product even before it released, so I assume it was never made with gaming in mind.
For the longest time, the only alternative was full-on mocap like with projekt melody or during hololive concerts, so this is an incredibly powerful solution for those who are independent or newer vtuber corporations.
@@JanPeter56 but it did seem to work well in the app so maybe with some updates this could be the most budget friendly tracking method since all the other options hover around 1K

Dear GOD the movements are so smooth and I'm amazed at how quiet the gears and such actually are. Most robot figures all you hear is the noise.
No kidding, at first I was like, "Well, it does look good" then he got the app and turned them on. Those prices just don't seem as bad anymore, in fact, I kinda want one.
Those transformers actually had another feature that Austin didn't show here. They can do preprogrammed moves via voice command and talk back to you, which is awesome.

Second i remember having a barricade transformer when i was a kid and it took a solid 5 min to transform once i actually knew how to do it.. so to see this is unreal

@@supert5678 i think you misunderstood, the stress im saying is from my daily life and tech tubers often makes my head out of it cause i see fun and i learn more. i like all of them, but now with all the commotions, im thankfull that still austin and his friends and staff keep doing what i may call funtech.
Just the fact that we now have the ability to make the G1 Transformers move is astounding.. Now to make it fullscale, build a Gundam and go out and colonize the stars...
This is definitely one of my favorite Mystery Tech episodes! I’m not a Transformers fan at all, but seeing those things in action was definitely sick! The VR portion was also really dope as well! Quality episode.

Well. The mocopi seems to work extremely well. I already saw them in action, but this is the first time I saw the AR of it, and damn it does track pretty damn well. No wonder Holo bought everyone one of these.

as a game developer on a budget I really want to get my hands on the Mocopi system cause it apparently is compatible with recording mocap data for unreal animations.

Austin the really cool thing about the digital Walkman is when you apply different genres you get a retro tape playing on screen. I would love that Walkman.

Those sensors are actually a really great idea for any streamers that want to have an avatar but cant afford to fork out $1k+ for full body motion tracking. Im sold

I worked a manufacturing job a couple of years ago. We were not allowed to have our phones on us at all and they would check. But we were allowed an MP3 player. Now I bought a cheap one to use because I personally couldn't see spending that kind of money. But there are reasons even in 2023 to have stuff like an MP3 player.
I saw the video of Grimlock a while back and I never wanted to go rob a convenience store in my life as much as I did at that point. So damn expensive but if I HAD that kind of disposable income, I'd have splurged IMMEDIATELY

As a Transformer fan who owns the Flagship Optimus and has the Grimlock ordered. There is so much that wasn't shown here. The price tags may be steep but they're definitely worth it.
