@JanPeter56 Well, it is meant for non-game applications. Specifically for vtubers as it shows. It seems hololive has been testing the product even before it released, so I assume it was never made with gaming in mind. For the longest time, the only alternative was full-on mocap like with projekt melody or during hololive concerts, so this is an incredibly powerful solution for those who are independent or newer vtuber corporations.
@@JanPeter56 but it did seem to work well in the app so maybe with some updates this could be the most budget friendly tracking method since all the other options hover around 1K
Those transformers actually had another feature that Austin didn't show here. They can do preprogrammed moves via voice command and talk back to you, which is awesome.
First off that dinosaur one was insane when it transformed… Second i remember having a barricade transformer when i was a kid and it took a solid 5 min to transform once i actually knew how to do it.. so to see this is unreal

This is definitely one of my favorite Mystery Tech episodes! I’m not a Transformers fan at all, but seeing those things in action was definitely sick! The VR portion was also really dope as well! Quality episode.
Ken, slipping in his wishlist on Mystery Tech as usual lol. Well. The mocopi seems to work extremely well. I already saw them in action, but this is the first time I saw the AR of it, and damn it does track pretty damn well. No wonder Holo bought everyone one of these.
as a game developer on a budget I really want to get my hands on the Mocopi system cause it apparently is compatible with recording mocap data for unreal animations.
My childhood yearns for those Transformers, but my wallet laughs cruelly at my inner child. Also, I'm glad Austin finally achieved his dream of becoming an anime waifu.
Those sensors are actually a really great idea for any streamers that want to have an avatar but cant afford to fork out $1k+ for full body motion tracking. Im sold
As a Transformer fan who owns the Flagship Optimus and has the Grimlock ordered. There is so much that wasn't shown here. The price tags may be steep but they're definitely worth it.
Austin the really cool thing about the digital Walkman is when you apply different genres you get a retro tape playing on screen. I would love that Walkman.
I worked a manufacturing job a couple of years ago. We were not allowed to have our phones on us at all and they would check. But we were allowed an MP3 player. Now I bought a cheap one to use because I personally couldn't see spending that kind of money. But there are reasons even in 2023 to have stuff like an MP3 player.
I saw the video of Grimlock a while back and I never wanted to go rob a convenience store in my life as much as I did at that point. So damn expensive but if I HAD that kind of disposable income, I'd have splurged IMMEDIATELY
Toys these days are mind blowing and amazing I remember toy ads in the 90s they would make them move like that through stop motion to sell the product but now it’s a reality no up selling required
Hey, All I wanted is toys like SMALL SOLDIERS Movie and that 3d Printer. LOL And now they really do make these things but No REAL AI yet. We can't even get AI work properly on the internet.
I was not expecting those transformers to have movement... Let alone idle movement.... BUT WHEN THEY TRANSFORMED ON THEIR OWN im not even a big transformers fan but i would definitely buy that!
I LOVE Austin's excitement with the Transformers Robosen robots! I too am not really into Transformers but I LOVE the Robosen products and would be so excited to have one!
People freak out when I tell them I still use a zune to use for music, instead of my phone. I get Spotify is standard nowadays and it's much more versatile when it comes to the music you want. Maybe not for $349, but I can see why someone would still want a desperate device from their phone for music and maybe a couple other different tasks it seems like the new Walkman is capable of.
Reminder that for $50 you can get an Xbox One Kinect and a Windows adapter for it to do full-body tracking. It may not have the advanced polling rate of Sony's option but for a way way way more budget-friendly option it is there. Software can be a little janky from what I've heard but options are always nice.
The top of the range model the NW-WM1ZM2 is £3,299 or $4,116 and the odd cent. Now I could get 3 iPhones for that price and still be able to do 100% more with em.
Dear GOD the movements are so smooth and I'm amazed at how quiet the gears and such actually are. Most robot figures all you hear is the noise.

That Vtuber tracking stuff is actually pretty impressive! Tracks pretty well and the physics are nice! I noticed the hair move when Austin did turns!
It seems to be really shite outside of the app, when using it in actual games the tracking is horrible.
