these videos are way better than the ones you do in the windsurfing tv:
you take us with you to different locations
you talk about the gear
location
weather
you show us action
talk us through the session in general the feel the speed thr conditions etc...
you talk about all the little things that matter
whats else to ask for?
i quite enjoy these videos.
good work!!
yeah.. well just trying to give a little something for everyone. As everyone doesn't like the same thing. But the idea is to introduce some of them to WindsurfingTV with other riders too.
Ben, these videos are awesome! Loving the series. Really reinvigorated my love for windsurfing! The explanations on the water are great.
Love it! 🤘
First again......sending lots of love to you Ben and your family. Hope to see you in Cape Town later in the year.
Ben, this is great info, a bit closer to conditions most get , especially on either side of the Atlantic. Please keep posting Thanks!
Quantex looks interesting! Maybe you can have a special about eurowave boards. Would be great to give some background intel about waveboards designs (and which size to pick as a one-board-solution) and how compact shapes can help Average Joe catch more waves. Keep up the good work!
i like those kind of content. keep it on
Love these videos
Very good video, Ben. Always something to learn. Thank you!
Great clip, lots of info in that session, super.
Nice work Ben!
hi it's incredible how good the modern wave board performs. last time i used one it was my angulo with phaser bottom some 35 or more years ago. it is so small and narrow and no volume at all.i don't know how i could ride that thing. i certainly wouldn't be able to ride it today. i really like your talking during the session explaining how you are dealing with the conditions . thanks for the video ☮️🌴
Yep, the Modern wave board is so much more user friendly than the old school ones... and thanks glad you like the videos.
Can't wait for the flat water session!
You promised folks the duck gybe video still :) Granted a few years back but hey it's a must have for every windsurfers toolbox.
it's on the list
@@Ben-Proffitt just add the bloody vulcan to that long list too mate. It still eludes me 👴🏼
🔥💪🏻
No rocks at Fonte da Telha! Not much much wind either unfortunately (but great for learning float and ride!).
Great video, nice to see those effortless gybes and hear your wind/wave advice. Do let us know if you intend to offer clinics in Portugal.
Of course the other most unpredictable creatures in the water are Wingfoilers - and they have spikes!
Portugal is tricky for clinics.. but I'm figuring it out slowly
@9:46 nice little backie
Love the video as always. When you do your flat water slalom type video, I would love to understand your thought process on when you get in the rear strap. It is hard to tell sometimes from your video, but to me, it almost looks like you get into the back strap early and push the board onto plane. I typically go front strap and wait to plane before shifting back. I am only an intermediate windsurfer and focus mainly on freer race riding. I have seen better sailers around me plane earlier with smaller gear by doing something similar to what I have seen you do and would love to understand the movement… sail position, body position, etc. most of them do it as muscle memory, and like anything in windsurfing, it is difficult to explain until you can do it yourself.
I enjoyed watching this video. It feels like I was windsurfing myself...nice skills, Ben! Ps: I am not a fan of these 360.insta cams ....I would prefer watching a POV-VERSION ..! But anyway! Thanx for sharing this great windsurf session with us!!!
Hi Ben, definitely would appreciate a refresh on the micro backloops with some advice on the key mistakes you've seen us making. If you need footage of it all being done wrong just let me know, it's a bit of a signature move that never goes right!
always need footage.. so send it in! :)
Hi Ben, the new X4 is a bit bigger than the X3, it can perform 8k instead of 5.7k. So better capacity to re-frame but need a bigger SD card and a good computer which can handle 8k.
yeah, I watched a few videos. I'll do a little comparison in windsurfing terms when the X4 turns up this week.
@@Ben-Proffitt You will tell us if it worth the upgrade from the X3
@@fredericbonet2569 just a heads up.. No! First test has not gone great... really bad stitching on it!! strange.. could be setting so just checking before I put the video out!
Ooooh, too late today for Moin Ben 😂
you're slacking
First 1 second of that microbackloop i've got. but how on earth do you rotate so quickly?
Hi Ben. Do you use a dive case for your Insta360?
btw, do you have a waterproof mic on you? you sound very good. cant be just the camera's mic!
Yes.. it’s another mic
How long is your extension bar? Lost my camera at Hoooookipa, prolly to long bar (and too big waves)😅
I'll make a video when the new camera turns up.. but its about an 'iPhone' long..
Hi Ben, do you get your sound from the X3 ?
No.. it’s from an external mic
Hi Ben,
How are the beaches a bit further north of Sagres?
Hi mate.. What do you mean... for rocks? for windsurf? which beaches?
@@Ben-Proffittfor windsurf
Examples Cordoma & Amado Beaches
@@andreu4934 well Tonel just gets more wind. I've tried most of them now. But with the normal North wind.. Tonel the wind is more. Some of the other beaches work in South, South west, South East.. example: Bordeira (South can be fun)
@@Ben-Proffittthanks Ben
I like to see professionals in normal conditions 🤙
love your commentary, Ben, but you call those things waves?! perhaps you should have moved to brittany - we call things that size ripples!
Camera makes them look small!! ..honest! haha
If you get a new Insta 360, do you fancy giving the old one away to a member of the FB Windsurfing group (76k members)? I'm a co-admin.
well after the first test... it's looking lightly I'm keeping the old one!!
@@WindsurfingTV 😂 oh dear...
Try not to get hit by beginner surfers, they are most unpredictable creatures in the watter.. :D
