      Just have a healthy respect for the ocean and physics. This person wants to defy the respect. Someone else then is put in jeopardy to rescue them for their poor choices. There is always that 1 adrenaline junkie. At least they knew he was doing this and had a jet ski to help.

    • @rebekahweber2413
      @rebekahweber2413 2 роки тому +3

      @@LynnDelatour If you are smart and respect the waters it can be fun. Just be aware of how you save yourself before you go in. It is bigger than a swimming pool and more chaotic, yet there is beauty and excitement in a living swell. Just don't go in when the waves are 3 stories tall. I went to the ocean, 1st time, 10 minutes on the beach before I went into the water. When I went in I was immediately caught in a massive riptide, yet I had a boogie board strapped to my wrist. I was fine. My cousin saw me and swam to me. We both used the board as we swam along the tide trying to find the end so we could swim to shore. After an hour, we started to lose sight of the beach. So he, knowing how to ride the board, rode the waves in. The downside is I went under and was dragged along. We made it to shore quickly. About 10 minutes. We were fine. It was OK. Beach lifeguards had to rescue 25 people that morning. 22 did not make it. They finally closed the beach to swimmers. Rough morning. But we knew what to do. We were prepared. We rescued ourselves. Just be prepared. A little background about me, stuff like that happens all the time to me. Different situations, same results. I accidentally end up in danger all the time. I know how to save myself from a lot. Be respectful of forces that are greater than you. Instead of 20 people then becoming victims, they should have formed a chain. That would have been more steady. I appreciate all of them running, but watch the video. More became distressed and possibilities for their rescues ran high. Be the solution, not a bigger situation. Many drown because they want to help but are not trained to help. I was a firefighter and an EMT. I know some but not everything.

    The fact that these surfers know how to stay calm and monuver in the ocean is part of the process. My boyfriend grew up surfing and I remember when I first met him first time I saw him in the water I could see how incredibly comfortable he was it almost look like he belong there and was a fish himself. I have been afraid of the water most of my life but I love beach and I love the ocean regardless, I’m mostly comfortable in clear calm water , where it’s safe lol

    Cuando te caes de la tabla te sumerges uno o dos metros por debajo de la superficie para que no te arrastre la ola y sales atrás de la ola cuando esta ya pasó, el problema es que viene la siguiente ola y vuelves a hacer lo mismo, te sumerges nuevamente, pero entre una ola y otra ola terminas sin aliento, por eso la importancia de el rescatista que va en la moto acuática, sin ellos seria muy peligroso, Esa es la razón de los aplausos.👏👏👏
