With so little windsurf content, sometimes anything is good. I just appreciate that you can sail and keep on talking non stop. For me it would be either talk, or breathe, but not both
@@pontussrassmusson4218 No, I think all the major brands produce good kit for all disciplines. Different flavors maybe, but all good in some way. Lot's of smaller brands produce great gear as well btw (Witchcraft, Flikka, CS, Bruch etc etc). A rental center is a good place to find out what kit you prefer. I definitely don't like everything and different people like different things. And of course the spot and conditions make a big difference as well. With small brands you can often get personal advice from the shaper on what board is likely to be good for you.
I like this. It is very satisfying and relaxing to watch somehow. I'm impressed how you manage to sail and talk coherently at the same time. Do you find pumping on wave-kit actually helps to get you going? On my big freerace kit I can definitely feel that one or two good pumps lift you up and get you going, but when I try it on my small stuff with thruster-fins it seems I'm only trashing water, increase resistance and bog down instead of getting going.
Shame about your beach Ben! Something similar happened to the beaches at the top of Costa da Caparica, so they spent 6 months filling them back up with sand from the seabed a ways offshore. Quite the spectacle! I was down at Martinhal (for the first time) these last few days, insanely gusty there, but beautifully flat! Be a while before I would feel confident enough to tackle Tonel, especially with all the new rock hazards. Looks really nice on the waves though, thanks for posting.
If anyone learns something it's keep the mast foot protector ON! At this rate you might need a bigger wave board - because of the wind of course, not Defi beers.
it doesn't handle big swellsl.. Biggest wave conditions. are Best 2-2.5m (and below) wind swell (low period) or 1.5 and below (proper swell - longer period)
I forgot I made this video.. again, wasn’t going to post it. But hope someone finds something interesting!
It's so helpful to us plebs to watch the pros sail in real life...

Is some brands good for specifik things, for example duotone is best for Waves or neilpryde is best for slalom and freerace/freeride?

Definately Ben! Thanks again, I like your non plaining gybe technique where you switch feet first - gonna to try this tomorrow in low wind 🤙
Nice one Ben!! Keep it up and thx for filming. Abraco Kasper
these videos are awesome ben. keep em coming
Keep them coming, Ben!
Really nice vlog. Seeing my future new board in action.
well done Ben keep the videos coming
Hey Ben! Don't forget, I'll always be there when you want to talk
Great video! Picked up lots of tips from your explanations and seeing just how you execute everything. Thanks.
Great video! Always happy to watch you ride those little nuggets...
Thanks Ben!

Digital wave sharing with Ben is always fine
WOW WOW WOW i wantch you videos and i book my tickets to Greece straight after. was that video on X3 or X4?
That was on the X3
Remember www.SimmerStyle.com now has a Web Shop 👍🏻
Black tip vs evoq ,4.7, which one has the most low end power ?
tricky place. i wonder how difficult is to get out on a bigger swell. surfers might be a problem too on a bigger day

oh i see. thanks 🙏
nice video again but i dont like this ultra widescreen / 360 view... please reduce the angle a little
Hey, what wind speeds was that day? You know, from camera you can tell nothing
well.. I'm not actually sure. It's a gusty spot. 5m weather in the gusts :) 17knots (total guess)
Are you using your new X4? What are your thoughts for windsurfing?
This was with a the X3.. but just started using X4
This was the X3 but video coming about X4
@@Ben-Proffitt Ah brilliant. I'm thinking of getting the X4 for windsurfing so will be good to hear your thoughts
