Maestro's Persichetti's Creation was written the year thereafter and premiered at the Juliiard in the spring of 1970. I sang in the Tenor section back then. Vincent was also the conductor . I also studied composition and theory with this wonderful man.

Possibly the most underrated symphony of all time. The piece is an amazing piece of orchestral scoring.

The range and versatility of Persichetti are amazing. Advanced complex works like this co-exist with simple sweet diatonic compositions.

New to the classical orchestra type genre. seeing this record in a thrift shop brought me here, certainly it is a masterpiece, amazingly progressive and flowing Like Smooth stream to rapidity of a river.

My initial impression was of a lot of imposing sounds spraying out fragmented motifs, then gathering complexity and coherence in unremitting, unforgiving, grim, granitic, bewildering but fascinating fashion. My interest grew as the work proceeded, and then before I was ready to attest to it, it had come to its logical conclusion, and I had become convinced that Pershichetti had fashioned a masterpiece.

I love this version, but there is an annoying sound that seems to come from the turn table.

Hate to sound like a broken record -- bad pun I know. Eugene Ormandy premiered performed and promoted The Works of these Great American composers often and wonderfully and isn't accorded the esteem he so richly deserves
