Wow !! When I listened to the album I thought to myself ‘how the hell are they going to play this track live?”. Now I know.....with apparent ease and masterful musicianship that’s how.
I initially thought that Jem would not be able to top Milliontown, but that album is awesome from start to end and it's not so easy to select a favorite. I would personaly say "the raging against the dying of the light blues in 7/8" or "Closer to the Sun", but this one comes very close!
Every time I see a Frost live video, I'm more amazed than I was the last time. And I was pretty damned amazed the first time, let me tell you. Saw them live in the Voodoo Rooms in Edinburgh for the launch of the Falling Satellites album, and despite poor Jem having a hoarse voice (their previous gig went uber-heavy on the smoke machines), it was a mind-bendingly awesome performance. If you haven't seen them live, bloody hell you're missing out.
Was at that gig as well, and have been lucky enough to see them support DT in Leeds, and Spock's Beard in Manchester. Absolutely mind blowing every time. I feel like between each album they say 'that's it we're done' then come back again. So hurry up and call it a day again Jem, so we can get more music. :D
If you guys EVER come back to the States....as God as my witness....I WILL come and see you....I don't care how far I have to travel....I need to see you live....just once before I die!....(sigh)😒
every part of this is amazing, but the camera operators deserve a special shoutout!!! so many exciting shots that genuinely enhance how already good the performance is on its own
I don't know about testing for illicit substances, I think after that performance I would have each member of the band checked for a small 5 pin socket somewhere about their person.... That sort of timing is either witchcraft or they are somehow connected together.... Stunning... and I have to agree with others on here - that actually is preferable to the album version (which I also Love).. Mucho Kudos to the desk Jockey... Drums in particular sound stunning... Hard to do really well, I know... All I ask - PLEASE come to Sheffield and book somewhere with a decent stage - I'll do the lighting for you for nothing... Ive got a pretty big LED rig now.... certainly better than Dingwalls anyway...
With sounds like those live I'd normally suspect cheatery, but this guy might actually be one person that memorised entire user manual for this keyboard and made it happen. Shame I'd probably never see them live, they don't strike me as a band that will ever worldwide tour.
Insane mate ! I felt in love for frost* since the beginning of their oddyssey and every time i'm able to listen new bits of it i'm like a junky who misses his shot... I also had the wonderful chance to go at their concert at Scala-London (one of my little dream of all time) and try to offer the band a nice bottle of red sparkling wine comming from Saumur (Loire valley) near my hometown. I hope the bottle of ambrosia reached them and they appreciated. Thanks guys for all the positive madness you grant us each new tune. I also want to watch again the video of jem using the tenori-on live on stage. It should be somewhere hidden on the messy internet. Wish you all the best, hope to listen and see you live soon again !! Frost-monkey-trumpet-arse !!!
From Milliontown to this is a such a leap. Some bands are stuck in the 'prog' past and, for some of those bands, I'm sure this is by choice. But, for a group of fans, if you move past the sound of classic genesis, it's no longer prog. Honestly, I couldn't care less. I dumped being a genre addict in my late teens. If it sounds good to me, it's good; any genre; any style. Katy Perry? Damn right. There are some good tunes there. Charli XCX? Pop 2 has some of the best pop songs I've heard in years. The 1975? Prog at their heart and with the best songs of their generation. Do I like Genesis, Yes and ELP? Of course. They're part of my musical DNA and I come back to them often. I'm also prepared to move with the times and take the new sounds and energies of bands like Frost for what they are. And that's why Frost are my current favourite 'Prog" band. Superb musicianship, finely crafted songs and modern production. What's not to like?
I dont believe it was actually done live ...I think they dubbed a studio version over it ...perhaps they used some of the live stuff with it...but they are using shure sm58's for the vocals and they simply dont sound that good!!!...
Wow !! When I listened to the album I thought to myself ‘how the hell are they going to play this track live?”. Now I know.....with apparent ease and masterful musicianship that’s how.
Craig nailing it is amazing (not like the rest of them aren't, mind you); that's some tricky shit.
Hah! I just wrote a similar comment without having had seen yours. Woah! :-D
The great thing about the Prog subgenres is that they only attract the best musicians.
Can we all just take a moment to appreciate and applaud Jem’s keys *and* vocal performances. Holy Shizzballs.
Jem is god, Man
Too good !
Stunning performance by all concerned. Craig is a world class drummer and will be a hard act to follow...
My favorite track from the album. 😁😁😁

I don't think they've ever played here in Germany : (
And now after Brexit it's less likely than ever...
Can we all just take a moment to listen to how well Nathan was playing synth bass here? I wonder what he was playing, but his phrasing was on point!
Great performance. Craig is just immense!
Top five drummers in the world 🔝👌
But you know that he is not good enough, all the prog couchexperts are aware of this LOL
@bandzsa OK who asked 😂😂😂😂

🤘🏼🙏🏻
So, that's pretty much as good as it gets. You guys are amazing . . .
I also die to experience such load of music in such intimate club setup. Czechia needs the Frost blessing.
This is such an amazing band--songwriting, arranging, and playing--all very powerful.

Just where are the views? I know people who get 100k views for putting on some makeup! Real shame it's not appreciated as widely.
Holy hell!!!! 🙀
