It will be so stupid of us (indians) to talk in English when we have our own 22 languages .
N it should be Hindi coz ..most of the indian languages like (Marathi gujrati ,Urdu) are somewhat similar to hindi .so you can say majority ppl in India understands Hindi ..may be they can't write ..but yaa they understand it well.
Every body should promote his or her mother tongue ..but if u ask an intellectual that one common lang that every indian should learn it would be "Hindi " for sure ..n yes it's our stupidity that Sanskriti has almost disappeared n ppl hardly understand it

BTW The first syllable of her first name Dee-pi-ka is stronger than the second and third. Like the English word Deep followed by 'ika'.

Impressed by Deepika. These are mostly Mumbai slang and Deepika only moved to Mumbai after she started in Bollywood films. I am surprised she is so familiar with these words and some of them are definitely difficult to translate. I am not sure if she can read Hindi though. Many Bollywood actors are much more comfortable in English (unless Hindi or Punjabi happens to be their mother tongue) have their scripts transliterated in English like in this video. I bet she was reading the top line not the bottom line.
It's a good catch - the complexity in pronunciations of Indian languages. For instance, what you could write in English as 'tha' has at least two distinct pronunciations by touching your tongue at different places of the roof of your mouth. Same goes with 'dha' and 'sha'. I am teaching my 6-year old son all these pronunciations now.
In order to distinguish between the soft 'ta' from the hard 'ta', my name is spelt with an additional 'h' in most of South India. So here I go as Vikranth instead of the official spelling Vikrant. By the way, the closest pronunciation of my name would be Wickraant. A lot of my American colleagues called me Why-crant the first time around. But that's cool - they do genuinely try to get it correct.

Now that Rick mentioned it.. Hindi has 4 D sounds and 4 T sounds. Hindi alphabets have sounds for every part of your mouth ,all the way upto your adam's apple.

Amit Sharma not at all. These all are very basic and common Hindi slang words. Delhi, Haryana, UP, you call it. Every single one of these words is common in North India.
Aakash Jangra yaa n even more slangs like bhad, bhasad, kantaap, tapori...n more local ones .
@@aakashjangra2226 we also use many english words when we speak hindi ..In fact we speak hinglish ...But it doesn't not mean that we can treat those english words like time jug ,glass as hindi words ..Similar way might be north indian use some mumbai local words in their day to day life that does not mean those words are hindi slags ..In india we have thousand of these kind of slangs in our dialects but mumbai local words are well known because of bollywood movies
