I know you put the measurements on screen which is great and the finished size in the description but could you also list measurements in the description along with fabric and zip used etc? Very few channels do this-thank you. Love your channel and so glad I found it😊🥰
So glad I found your videos. I have been sewing for years but have learned so many beneficial techniques for a clean professional finish. Your voice is so clear and directions easy to follow. I know I am going to make several items you feature - you make it all so clear to understand - I am excited. I am 75 and can't wait to use some of your techniques in the future. Thank You!!
Can’t wait to try and make this Angela. I love your clear, concise instructions, so easy to follow. I’ve made several of your projects. You have literally given me the confidence to start sewing - in my late 60’s!! Thank you.
I just recently found your videos and cannot watch enough of them!!!! Your trick here for the zipper slider attachment is genius and I cannot WAIT to try it out!!! I wrestle with those all the time and one always goes on higher than the other!
I’ve made a bunch of zipper pouches, but this is my favorite. I’m going to order a cute zipper and pull from your link and make one as soon as I get those items. I’m going to make it a bit larger as a knitting project bag. I love how it opens all the way. So nice for access my my knitting. Thanks so much! ❤
Don't know how I missed this tutorial. Was a busy time for me 4 months ago. Another great tutorial Angela. I must try this alternate zipper installation. How cute is your fabric, love it
Are you subscribed to my channel and have turned ALL notifications on? Please let me know what you think when you make this. I love this pouch but for some reason not a lot of views for it....... ( I love that fabric too!)
Thank you. This was brilliant. I never saw that way of making the tab. I am wondering if I can use a regular zipper that's longer, keeping the pull on and trimming off the stoppers later. Or, could a regular zipper be cut and the pull be put back on?
Hi again what is the difference between fusible interfacing and batting - both seem to be medium weight? Many thanks -got my #3 zipper tape today so will make this lovely bag soon❤😊👍
Love this bag & ordered the #3 zipper tape but will this size be suitable for a not too large tote bag. Sorry to be a nuisance in asking! Much appreciate your responses.
@@NotchesSewing no don’t have a heavy duty machine! Loved the way you folded down the edge of the zip so you could machine all round but being a nylon zip you could machine over it when putting on your delightful tab 👌😊
Could you just use one long piece for outer fabric and one long piece for the lining which would just give you one side seam . The only adjustment would be for the one box cut out in the center which would be a seam smaller since there is the other box cut out on the open end which will require a seam. When that side seam is sewn ,that smaller box is now on the folded side. Am I making sense ? If the bag had an angle then it would require two pieces of outer and two lining pieces. Thanks. Lovely bag.
Yes absolutely. I didn’t want to add as an option in case it confused anyone. I had to use 2 pcs as the printed fabric is repurposed from another pouch that I didn’t like the quality of..😀

All done! You can find measurements in the description and another tip is that you can download transcripts videos 🙂
@@NotchesSewing thank you 🙏 that’s perfect - so few channels do this!
I think because it’s already in the video and a lot of people don’t even know how to look at the descriptions…..
@@NotchesSewing lol!
You videos are excellent. You don’t waste time with unnecessary info that the majority of us already know..
Glad you like it. I try to provide enough info even for the beginner so they will have pro looking results too. 😊

I love that Lucy and Ethel fabric. i was hoping you would tell us where you bought the Lucy and Ethel fabric.
I was just told that you can find at Joann’s
Beautiful…
Thank you! Cheers!
Do u think this will work for #5 zipper tape. Thank you for easy to follow instructions.

Yes, absolutely you can put the slider back on. I have a video about using a cheap zipper jig too. Cheers
Hermosa❤
What is the size of the finished bag? Thank you
9” across top 7.5” at bottom. 5.5” tall and 2” deep on bottom
Thank you
Hi again what is the difference between fusible interfacing and batting - both seem to be medium weight? Many thanks -got my #3 zipper tape today so will make this lovely bag soon❤😊👍
interfacing is flat and batting has a thickness to it. It will give the project a puffiness to it.
@@NotchesSewing Ah right thank you 🙏
Where did you find the Lucy fabric?
My best friend gifted it to me. It was actually another item but I didn’t like the quality of it and she was ok with me repurposing it.😊
@@NotchesSewing I love it!
Same! I couldn’t get enough of that show when I was a kid😊

Yes that will be fine. If you don’t have a heavy duty machine, the teeth are easier to sew over. Have fun!

@@NotchesSewing that would be great many thanks - perhaps you could incorporate a zipped ‘outside’ pocket with the pocket on the inside !!
P.S. could I use this method to make a bigger zippered bag?
Yes, absolutely
