- This past September I went back to school as a mature student at George Brown College in their Graphic Design program. As of today, I'm done my first semester there and cannot wait to get started on my second! In this vlog, join me for a day in the life of a graphic design student in Toronto! Throughout the day, you'll complete assignments with me, come with me to campus, and experience a school-wide tech shutdown (just a typical day in the life basically haha). After applying to George Brown's graphic design program for the fall 2023, I searched on UA-cam to see if there was any other video about graphic design GB that the college had not uploaded itself, and you were my first suggestion. The video was helpful because it gave me a sense of what to expect in semester 1, and I think I am readier for it. thanks!

I'm actually picking up second semester next year (or in the summer) as I'm taking some time to focus on work (we have 5 years to complete the program), so maybe we'll be in some classes together!

hi keylin! i just applied to the gd program at george brown. I wanted to ask when you submit your portfolio as I know the deadline for colleges is feb 1st. Are you contacted/requested to submit your portfolio after feb 1st or before? ty!
Hey there! Great question, and thanks so much for watching this video :) Hope you enjoyed! Personally, I received my portfolio request AFTER submitting all of my academics. @@KeylinVLOGS Thanks! though may I ask what date you submitted your portfolio? because I got accepted for the next stage w the portfolio + questionnaire on Jan 31st and then submitted it tdy (Feb 3rd) and now i'm worried that its considered a late submission :((
@@hocuspocus__No problem at all! I'm fairly certain I submitted mine over the summer, it was for winter semester though! But I called the campus and asked if I could start in the fall, and they gave me a spot in the earlier semester. They were super helpful when I called. I highly doubt you were late if you were accepted to the next stage and then handed in your portfolio just a few days later, I believe they gave me ample time to submit (and emailed reminders too). Definitely check your email (that's where I got my instructions) or give them a call!
