I like how you created the fixturing to hold the pieces. I'm interested in the plans and digital files for these. Are they going to be available on your website or Etsy?

Hi, I have subscribe to your channel for some time and in a previous episode you mentioned Sainsmart Genmitsu 3018-prover v2.
I am on the verge of buying one of those, however, I am not a Windows user, at least not for the last 25 years. Can Easel be used with Mac and does it make its own G-code or do I need something else.
I live in South Australia and enjoy your videos.
    Cheers

Hello Guido - Easel is browser based and works with Safari. As of right now, you can still download gcode from Easel and use it with the Genmitsu. It is possible you can use Easel to control the machine too since both are based on Grbl. All that said, if you are looking for a high degree of precision or accuracy, the Genmitsu 3018 isn't the best machine -- see my review of it and the tests I ran. Thanks for watching and subscribing!

Thanks for your prompt reply, however I still need a little further assistance - I downloaded Easel onto Safari set up a new project, created a 4" x 4" workpiece and placed their snowflake on it. After making the necessary adjustments, I went to the edit machine tab and registered a Genmitsu 3018 prover. I then went to general settings tab and clicked on download G code and it placed the project in my download folder as a .nc file - here is my question - How do I get it from my download folder onto the 3018 to cut or carve it out.
Please remember I am a total Newbie
      Cheers
      Guido

Hello Guido - you need to put on a micro-SD card to use it with the offline controller, or load into your gcode sender. I covered all that in my video (ua-cam.com/video/tktC2nkCX0g/v-deo.htmlsi=MYiRLuH-1BUSH4t-&t=184).

Got it, thanks, here's where I'm getting confused - I watched "James Dean Designs - Beginners guide to designing in Easel - 3018 PRO" and he states you can run your machine directly from Easel - when he clicks the machine tap, (about the 28 minute mark) the drop-down menu shows the word "advanced" at the very bottom, he then clicks the word "advanced", and it opens up another page with export G code. - I don't get that at all. can you throw some light on that ?

Hi Guido - As of Sep 2023: In Easel - click Machine -> Download g-code. Note where that file is stored. Place a micro SD card in your computer. Copy the g-code file to the micro-SD. Put the micro-SD into your offline controller. Click select on the controller, select the file, click enter.
