I’m not sure I understand the question. This whole video is about using Fusion to build a model, build toolpaths, and generate gcode. I don’t use freecad so I can’t answer that question. Thanks for watching.
@@omsingharjit Yes, Fusion is a production-grade, fully featured 3D modeling and CAM solution, suppurting cutting and engraving. Depending on what you want to do, other SW might be easier to use (v-carved inlays), but no issues doing nearly anything you can think of. I've done videos on creating text extrudes in Fusion before (ua-cam.com/video/7J5ziz_ETYU/v-deo.html, ua-cam.com/video/oe-A6mWU2mQ/v-deo.html) and v-carving speeds (ua-cam.com/video/Wt69gQeaYwg/v-deo.html, ua-cam.com/video/6hbOxEja1ho/v-deo.html).
Hi! Thank you for the video! Help me a lot! I have a question, it's possible use Fusion360 with a Genmitsu 3018 prover V2? Its possible add this machine to Fusion360? Thank you
Hi -- the Genmitsu is based on grbl, so any grbl post processor will do. Autodesk provides one. That said, I did customize it to remove some of the unnecessary features like coolant. Happy to provide it if you send me an email (no warranty).
I joined CNC With Me but don't see this file anywhere. Catch alls are something I am really interested in trying and was hoping Hamilton would post something for download.
Hi Gregg - I will be checking out FreeCAD but I do not believe it handles CAM, so you will still need a solution for generating the tool paths. Thanks for watching!
Hello Casey -- my apologies - it seems Etsy changed the URLs at some point in the past. All files are still available: crgmakes.etsy.com. Thanks for watching and for considering purchasing from our small business!
Hi Gregg - Illustrator alone is less expensive than Fusion and vCarve, but you can't compare a fully capable CAD and CAM program to a single-purpose vector program like Illustrator. If we want to compare apples to apples, Illustrator at 22.99/month vs Affinity Designer at $69.99 means you can get 3 months of Illustrator or a lifetime with Affinity Designer. Alternatively, you can use Inkscape for free forever -- equally capable for these purposes. Adobe's pricing is out of this world, especially when there are equally capable programs on the market at a fraction of the cost.
This was fantastic!!! I have a million questions and can’t wait to follow more of your work.
Thanks - working on it! 😆
I Wanna know, if freecad and fusion 360 be use as 2.5D cad cam g code generator? Can you teach

@@cyberreefguru I mean can we use F360 to cut
or engrave text using cnc?

Hi Robert -- I just looked and I have no clue either. I will ask @HamiltonDilbeck and get back with you!
how about FreeCAD ?

can we not buy the file anymore?

Did you like that machine file for fusion 360? I can't seem to find it for the woodworker version. I found the smaller one, but the one I need.
Hi Nate -- which file?
@@cyberreefguru the machine file in fusion 360...on your video it's at the 13 minute marker..thanks so much
also, adobe is cheaper than Fusion360 or vcarves, etc - so speaking of sacrificing your grand children..
